The degradation of TBP has become a stumbling block to the industrial continuous production of lithiumchloride extraction from brines with high Mg/Li ratio by solvent extraction. To develop a more stable andmore efficient extraction system, a novel amide system, containing newly synthesized extractant N,N-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-2-methoxyacetamide (NBEHMOA), FeCl3 6H2O and sulfonated kerosene, was proposed inthis work. Compared with TBP and N523, NBEHMOA extracted Li+ and H+ in the sequence of TBP ˃NBEHMOA ˃ N523 and N523 ˃ TBP ˃ NBEHMOA respectively. The solution containing 5.5 mol/L LiCland 0.5 mol/L HCl was used as the eluent in the scrubbing process. A Li+ extraction efficiency of 96.7%and 22.31 g/L Li+ in the stripping solution were achieved by the whole process with counter-currenttwelve stages. The extraction mechanism investigated via FT-IR spectroscopy illustrated that the metalions Fe3+ and Li+ were mainly coordinated by the carbonyl C = O in NBEHMOA. This novel amide systemcan successfully achieve the cascade extraction effect for lithium, Li/Mg separation and avoid the generationof phase interface objects through counter-current extraction of lithium from brine at a lower acidity. This work provided a novel extraction system to recover lithium from the higher magnesium/lithiumratio brines.

Based on the exchangeability of anions between the layers of magnesium-based LDHs, LDHs intercalatedby tartaric acid anion (TA-LDH) was prepared by co-precipitation method to adsorb boron, and confirmedby XRD and FT-IR that TA had successfully entered the interlayer of LDH. The adsorption kinetics showedthat the adsorption efficiency of B was mainly controlled by the chemisorption mechanism. The thermodynamicsrevealed that the relationship between the equilibrium concentration of B in solution and theadsorption capacity of TA-LDH for B was consistent with the Freundlich model. Cl or Li+ in solution hadlittle effect on the adsorption of B by TA-LDH, while SO4 2 had a great effect on that compared with NO3-LDH. Boron adsorption was accomplished through the interaction between the hydroxyl of TA anion inthe interlayer and that of B(OH)3 and B(OH)4. The elution efficiency of TA-LDH was greater than 70% withammonium chloride used as the eluent. While TA-LDH still maintained a good adsorption capacity after 5cycles, and the solubility loss efficiencies of Mg2+ in a single adsorption and elution were 1.5% and 5.4%,respectively. Our study can provide a new idea and method for the development and utilization of magnesiumresources.
One-Step Solvothermal Synthesis of Tetranitro-Cobalt Phthalocyanine/Reduced Graphene Oxide Composite

Tetranitro-cobalt phthalocyanine/reduced graphene oxide (TNCoPc/RGO) composite was prepared using ethylene glycol as reducing agent and precursor. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to characterize the composite. The electrochemical performance of the composite was examined by cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode. The SEM observation and UV-Vis absorption spectrophotometer reveal that TNCoPc nanoparticles are closely contacted with RGO. The results show that the composite has a larger peak current and a higher current density than TNCoPc for oxygen reduction in an alkaline medium. This work offers a simple and environmental route for the synthesis of metal phthalocyanine (MPc)/RGO, which is adaptable to a wide range of applications in fuel cells.

This paper focuses on the parameter estimation problems of multivariate equation-error systems. A multiinnovation generalized extended stochastic gradient algorithm is presented as a comparison. Based on the maximum likelihood principle and the coupling identification concept, the multivariate equation-error system is decomposed into several regressive identification subsystems, each of which has only a parameter vector, and a coupled subsystem maximum likelihood multi-innovation stochastic gradient identification algorithm is developed for estimating the parameter vectors of these subsystems. The simulation results show that the coupled subsystem maximum likelihood multi-innovation stochastic gradient algorithm can generate more accurate parameter estimates and has faster convergence rates compared with the multi-innovation generalized extended stochastic gradient algorithm.
Identification of MicroRNAs as potential biomarkers for detecting ischemic stroke

Background: Increasing epidemic of ischemic stroke (IS) makes it urgent to understand the pathogenesis and regulatory mechanism, previous studies have described microRNAs (miRNAs) is part of the brain's response to ischemia. Objective: The aim of this study was to screen potential biomarkers for the prediction and novel treatment of IS. Methods: Differentially expressed miRNAs were screened from three newly diagnosed IS patients and three controls by RNA sequencing technology. Furthermore, target prediction databases were then used to analysis the target genes of different expressed miRNAs, and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway database were used to identify the functions and the main biochemical and signal pathways of differentially expressed target genes. Results: Our results revealed that 27 miRNAs were differentially expressed in IS, among which, hsa-miR-659-5p was the most highly increased and was first found to be associated with IS. In addition, KEGG pathway analyses showed that differentially expressed miRNAs were mainly significantly enriched in lysosome pathway, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction pathway, spliceosome pathway, base excision repair pathway. Conclusions: miRNAs were involved in IS pathogenesis, and hsa-miR-659-5p, hsa-miR-151a-3p and hsa-miR-29c-5p as the three highest |log2FoldChange| regulation in this study, which may be the biomarkers of IS and need further study.
Separation of background and resonant components of wind-induced response for flexible structures

The wind-induced dynamic response of large-span flexible structures includes two important components-background response and resonant response. However, it is difficult to separate the two components in time-domain. To solve the problem, a relational expression of wavelet packet coefficients and power spectrum is derived based on the principles of digital signal processing and the theories of wavelet packet analysis. Further, a new approach is proposed for separation of the background response from the resonant response. Then a numerical example of frequency detection is provided to test the accuracy and the spectral resolution of the proposed approach. In the engineering example, the approach is applied to compute the power spectra of the wind-induced response of a large-span roof structure, and the accuracy of spectral estimation for stochastic signals is verified. The numerical results indicate that the proposed approach is efficient and accurate with high spectral resolution, so it is applicable for power spectral computation of various response signals of structures induced by the wind. Moreover, the background and the resonant response time histories are separated successfully using the proposed approach, which is sufficiently proved by detailed verifications. Therefore, the proposed approach is a powerful tool for the verification of the existing frequency-domain formulations.

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is an IgE-mediated chronic inflammatory disease of the allergic nasal mucosa. It has a significant effect on quality life; most patients with AR also suffer from sleep disorders, mood disorders, and deterioration in social relationships. As increasing numbers of medicinal plants show productive anti-inflammatory activity against inflammatory diseases, there is growing interest in natural medicinal plant ingredients. To this end, we selected Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) to evaluate its anti-inflammatory effect on ovalbumin-induced AR rats, and we further explored its impact on NLRP3 inflammasome activation and NOD2-mediated NF-κB activation. We found that APS can alleviate the nasal symptom of AR rats and attenuate pathological alterations. APS also reduced the inflammatory cytokine levels. APS not only inhibited the NLRP3 inflammasome activation but also inhibited NF-κB activation by decreasing NOD2 expression and blocking the phosphorylation of NF-κB (p65). In conclusion, APS can effectively improve the inflammatory symptoms of nasal mucosa in AR rats, which may be mediated by the inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activation and NOD2-mediated NF-κB activation. These findings indicate that APS has the potential to be used as a therapeutic agent for AR.
