        The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between children's Inferiority and self-esteem during Taekwondo practice. In order to achieve this purpose, 480 subject were selected among participants of Taekwondo activity programs in the Seoul area by using the stratified cluster random sampling method. Out of the 480 questionnaires responded to. only 414 were used for data analyses because 66 were responded to incompletely or incorrectly. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which Inferiority and self-esteem consisted of items identified by Jun(1999) and Jun(1993), respectively. The statistical methods utilized in the study for analyzing the collected data were reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, standard multiple regression analysis and the following results were obtained: First, both Inferiority and self-esteem differ statistically and significantly according to both sociodemographic variables. Second, both Inferiority and self-esteem differ statistically and significantly according to Taekwondo practice. Third, Inferiority statistically and significantly influences self-esteem.

        Testicular microlithiasis is a rare disease characterized by calcifications within the seminiferous tubules. Testicular microlithiasis has been found with a wide variety of testicular pathology, but to our knowledge its association with torsion of appendix testis has been reported only one case. Therefore, we report on an 13-year-old boy with torsion of testis appendix and bilaterally diffusely echogenic testes on sonography.

      • 중학교 과학 교과서 분별 증류 실험의 비교 분석 및 개선

        이 연구의 목적은 제 6차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 1학년 과학 교과서 분별 증류 실험의 문제점을 파악하고, 중학생들이 분별 증류 실험을 능률적으로 수행할 수 있는 실험 방법을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위한 첫 번째 단계로서 현재 사용되고 있는 8종의 과학 교과서를 분별 증류 실험 장치와 액체 혼합물의 종류에 따라 6가지로 분류하였다. 두 번째 단계로서 액체 혼합물을 가열 방법에 따라 직접가열과 물 중탕 가열로 나누어 교과서 실험과정에 따라 같은 실험을 세 번 실시하였다. 세 번째 단계로서 실험 결과의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대안 실험을 실시하였다. 대안 실험에서는 알코을 램프로 직접가열 하는 방법과 기름 중탕으로 가열하는 방법, 그리고 가열 맨틀을 사용하여 가열하는 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 가지 달린 둥근 플라스크를 직접 가열하는 실험 결과가 가지 달린 시험관을 물 중탕으로 가열하는 실험 결과보다 이론적인 결과에 근접하였다. 그리고 가지 달린 둥근 플라스크를 직접 가열하는 실험에서 플라스크 윗 부분을 보온해 주는 실험이 보온하지 않은 실험보다 실험 결과가 더 나았다. 대안 실험에서는 액체 혼합물의 증류 온도 증가를 보면서 가열 맨틀의 가열 온도를 을려 준 실험의 결과가 이론적인 결과에 가장 가까웠다. 이러한 연구 결과로부터 가지 달린 시험관을 물 중탕으로 가열하는 분별 증류 실험 장치는 탐구실험 수업에 부적절한 것이므로 개선이 요구되며, 중학교 과학실 여건을 고려할 때, 액체 혼합물의 증류 온도 증가를 보면서 가열 맨틀의 가열 온도를 변화시키는 분별 증류 실험이 가장 능률적인 방법임을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to find out the problems on the fractional distillation experiments in the middle school science textbooks based on the 6th curriculum and to suggest an efficient experiment method for the middle school students. The first step was the classification of the experiments in 8 science textbooks according to heating apparatus and liquid mixtures. The second step was doing each experiment 3 times followed by the experimental process in the textbooks. The third step was developing the alternative experiments for solving the problems found in the second step. The heating method used in the alternative experiments were direct heating, oil bath, and heating mantle. The results of the second step showed that the direct heating experiment of branched round flask was more close to the theoretical prediction than the experiment of water bath heating of branched test tube. Also the direct heating experiment of thermally insulated branched round flask was better than the result of the experiment which was not insulated. The results of the third step showed that the experiment using heating mantle regulated heating power by observing the temperature of distillate gave the closest result to the theoretical prediction. From the above results, it is concluded that the experiment using branched test-tube with water bath heating is not adequate for the fractional distillation and an alternative experiment using insulated branched round flask with heating mantle regulated heating power during experiment is recommended.

      • 한국 공학교육 인증원 인증기준에 의한 명지대학교 전자공학 전공의 교육요소 및 교과과정 개발

        The third criterion of ABEEK(Accreditation Board of Engineering Education in Korea) criteria, program curriculum, currently causes confusions and questions among those who are preparing the accreditation, because the requirements in division system for educational unit of student major, that many universities adopt in Korea, contradicts those in the ABEEK criteria in various aspects, and the accreditation is new to this country. This paper describes the development procedure of the program curriculum according to the provisions of the ABEEK criteria, and discusses the easiness of the procedure and the difficulties we encountered during the curriculum development.

      • 열응답성 나노복합재료의 합성과 LCST에서의 열적특성

        Thermal responsive nanocomposite were synthesized by copolymerization of N-isopropyl acrylamide and methylene bisacrylamide(crosslinking monomer) in an aqueous suspension of MAPTC-montorillonite at room temperature. Hydrogels containing 2.0 ∼5.0wt% of montmorillonite exhibited a lower critical solution temperature(LCST) similar to unmodified PNIPAM hydrogel (approximately 33.7℃). However, hydrogels containing 10wt% montmorillonite did not exhibit a measurable LCST. TGA result shows thermal stability of thermal responsive nanocomposite imoroved a little more than the thermal responsive polymer.

        In this paper, a new grouping optimization scheme is proposed, which is a part of the dynamic resource management in mobile communication environments. The Proposed scheme dynamically optimizes the distribution of macro cells according to traffic deviation between sectors in CDMA optical micro cell system which has the multitier cell structure. For the efficient use of limited communication resources, an optimal sector structures are searched through the genetic algorithm and the remote antenna groups are dynamically reconstructed. From the simulation results, we can confirmed that the proposed method not only reduces the hand-off rate but also increases the reserved call capacity of each sector.

      • 절화 카네이션의 급속 개화에 KI 및 NaBH₄가 미치는 영향

        어버이날이나 스승의 날과 같은 절화의 수요가 급증하는 시기에는 절화 카네이션의 수명보다는 오히려 화기의 급속열림의 필요성이 매우 중요하다. 왜냐하면, 대부분이 조기 채화되어 불개화되는 율이 높고, 목적상 일회적으로 사용되어지기 때문이다. 급속화기 열림제를 위하여 조사한바, 기본 용액(당 2%+8HQS 200ppm)에 NaBH?와 KI는 1mM의 농도에서 단독처리나 복합처리 모두 화기급속열림에 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며, 1∼2일 후에 화경을 두 배로 증가시켰다. 그러나 이러한 급속화기 열림제는 고농도일 경우 절화수명은 오히려 단축시키는 것으로 나타났다. Rapid flower opening was much more important than flower longevity when cut carnation was in great demand such as Mother's or Teacher's day because carnations were mostly harvested at pre-open stage. Combination of 1mM NaBH? or/and 1mM KI together with a basal solution (surose 3%+8HQS 200ppm) have been found to be very effective in the rapid flower opening of cut carnation cv. Desio where they showed two fold increased flower diameter during 1 or 2 days after treatment. However, it was found that the higher concentration was, the shorter flower longevity was because of toxicity.

        Rayleigh signal fading phenomena due to multipath propagation in wireless communication can be simulated using the SOS(sum-of-sinusoids) fading channel model. Fading channel model is very simple simulator based on the SOS and has been widely used. However, It has some short-comings. Its time correlation properties based on the simulated waveform do not correspond to the statistical ones. In this paper, the difference between statistical and time properties of fading channel model is examined and new simulator is proposed.

        Rayleigh signal fading phenomena due to multipath propagation in wireless communication can be simulated using the sum-of-sinusoids channel model. Jakes' fading channel model and Clarke's fading channel model are very simple simulators based on the sum-of-sinusoids and has been widely used. However, It has some short-comings. Its time correlation properties based on the simulated waveform do not correspond to the statistical ones. In this paper, the difference between statistical and time properties of Jakes' fading channel model and Clarke's fading channel model are examined.

      • ABEEK 준비를 위한 프로그램 교육목적 및 학습성과의 선정

        Even though Accreditation Board of Engineering Education in Korea (ABEEK) started its accreditation procedures, the faculty still have difficulties in preparing the accreditation because there is little practical examples of the preparing procedure. This paper explains the practical procedure to determine the educational objectives and the outcomes, which is the first part of the accreditation preparing procedure. The educational objectives of the program should be expressed by the specific and assessable sentences and their contents should comply with the demands of the educational community, the objectives of the educational institute, and the characteristics of the program. The program outcomes consist of 12 outcomes from ABEEK and additional outcomes that reflect the characteristics of the program. Since the educational objectives and the outcomes should have the full connection among the objectives of the institute and the course objectives, the relationships among them should be checked using the relationship analysis matrix.
