      • Flangeless Esser PET Phantom 영상 자동 분석 프로그램의 유용성 평가

        Purpose: ACR (American College of Radiology) offers variable parameters to PET/CT quality control by using ACR Phantom. ACR Phantom was made to evaluate parameters which are uniformity, attenuation, scatter, contrast and resolution. Manual analysis method wasn't good for the use of QC because values of parameter were changed as it may user and it takes long time to analysis. Ki-Chun Lim, a nuclear scientist in AMC, developed program that automatically analysis values of parameter by using ACR Phantom to overcome above problems. In this study, we evaluated automatic analysis program's usability, through the comparing SUV of each method, reproducibility of SUV when repeated analysis and the time required. Materials and Methods: Using Flangeless Esser PET Phantom, the ideal ratio of 4 : 1 hot cylinder and BKG but it actually showed a ratio of 3.89 to 1 hot cylinder and BKG. SIEMENS Biograph True Point 40 was used in this study. We obtained images using ACR phantom at Fusion WB PET Scan condition (2 min/bed) and 120 kV, 100 mAs CT condition. Using True X method, 3 iterations, 14 subsets, Gaussian filter, FWHM 4 mm and Zoom Factor 1.0, $168{\times}168$ image size. We obtained Max. & Min. SUV and SUV Mean values at Cylinder (8, 12, 16, 25 mm, Air, Bone, Water, BKG) by automatic program and obtained SUV by manual method. After that, we compared manual and automatic method. we estimate the time required from opened the image data to final work sheet was completed. Results: Automatic program always showed same result and same the time required. At 8, 12, 16 and 25 m cylinder, manual method showed 6.69, 3.46, 2.59, 1.24 CV values. The larger cylinder size became, the smaller CV became. In manual method, bone, air, water's CV were over 9.9 except BKG (2.32). Obtained CV of Mean SUV showed BKG was low (0.85) and bone was high (7.52). The time required was 45 second, 882 second respectably. Conclusions: As a result of difference automatic method and manual method, automatic method showed always same result, manual method showed that the smaller hot cylinders became, the lager CV became. Hot cylinders mean region size, the smaller hot cylinder size becomes we had some trouble in doing ROI poison setting. And it means increase in variation of SUV. The Study showed the time required of automatic method was shorten then manual method.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the Serum Lipid level immediately after incrementally maximal aerobic exercise with treadmill in middle-long distance runners(n=8) and non-athletes(n=8). The results were as follows ; 1.There was significantly lower value in the level of total cholesterol(TC), Triglyceride(TG) and LDL-cholesterol in middle-long distance group than athlete group immediately after maximal exercise. 2.HDL-cholesterol level was significantly higher value in middle- long distance group than athlete group immediately after maximal exercise.

      • 불포화 레시틴을 이용한 나노리포좀 개발에 관한 연구

        Nowadays many products using nano-technology have been released and nano-technology would be more prospected in all kinds of industries especially cosmetic manufacturing and ingredient fields. In cosmetics, the saturated lecithin, one of the main surfactants to make liposome, has been used for its stability but it has been substituting by unsaturated lecithin which has excellent skin affinity and penetration. So we studied to develop nano-liposome below 50㎚ with unsaturated lecithin. To make stable nano-liposome, many factors including solvent like propylene glycol, pH balance, homogenizing pressure and liposome stabilizer like surfactant are important especially stearate series surfactants have positive effect in liposome size and long term stability. But in liposome with saturated lecithin, surfactant has negative effect and appropriate amount of oil should be used to be stable. So we could conclude that unsaturated lecithin is suitable than saturated lecithin to make nano-liposome.

      • 폐결핵 환자의 우울 상태

        The main purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the depressive states for the patients with chronic pulmonary tuberculosis. A questionnaire(Self-rating Depression Scale, SDS) survey was performed toward 57 pulmonary tuberculosis patients with initial treatment who started chemotherapy and 53 pulmonary tuberculosis patients with retreatment, admitted to one tuberculosis-centered hospital and two general hospital. Fifty three healthy persons as control group were investigated with the same questionnaire for comparison. The survey was performed from July to August 1996. The results are as follws : 1. The patients had significantly high scores in the depression than control and the patient with retreatment showed significantly high scores in the depression than the patient with initia1treatment(P<0.01). 2. The depressive levels of the patients were associated with duration of admission and the expectancy of recovery (P<0.05). 3. The percentage of the subjects with 40 or more scores tentatively classifiable as psychologically depressed was 67.1% of the total subjects, 48.4% of the control groups, 75.0% of the patient with initial treatment and 84.1% of the patient with retreatment. Because patient with pulmonary tuberculosis with initial treatment showed higher depression scores than normal persons, and patients with retreatment due to failure of initial treatment showed higher depression scores than initial treatment, it is necessary to give attention to depression of the patients during treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.

      • 염소함유 변성 폴리에스테르 폴리올을 이용한 수분산 난연 폴리우레탄의 제조 및 특성

        Aqueous urethane dispersion resin begins to assume commercial importance due to increasing environmental awareness of VOC in coating industry. Moreover there have been strong industrial needs for the development of reactive-type polyurethane flame retardant coatings. In this study, chlorinated polyester polyols were synthesized by two step polycondensation reaction using various chloroacetic acid, adipic acid, trimethylol propane, and 1,4-butanediol. In the next step polyurethane dispersion was prepared using these chlorinated polyester polyols and isophorone diisocyanate with dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA) and trimethylamine. The structure of chlorinated polyol was characterized by GPC, FT-IR and NMR. Particle size and its distribution were examined in term of various dispersion parameters including molecular weight and composition of polyol, amount of DMPA, and NCO/OH ratio, etc. The effect of chlorinated polyols on flammability and physical properties was also evaluated.

        Composite latex particles which consist of poly(butyl acrylate) as core polymer and poly(methyl methacrylate) as shell polymer with different morphologies were synthesized by seeded multi-stage emulsion polymerization. Three types of polymers were obtained by various monomer feeling methods: random copolymer, core/shell type copolymer, gradient core shell type copolymer. Particle size was controlled by adjusting the amount of emulsifier. The morphology and particle size were observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and particle analyzer, respectively. Employing these composite latex as an impact modifier of PMMA, mechanical properties including impact strength and tensile strength were examined.

        This essay is an attempt to interpretate Morrison's Song of Solomon text from the perspective of C. G. Jung who explains the human psyche in terms of folklore and myth. Jung believes that there are two different worlds in the human mind: the conscious and the unconscious. The unconscious has the structure of the primitive patterns called 'collective unconscious', where various types of characters and primitive images are intermingled. Jung calls them archetypes and regards them as the source of our energy and life. Living without these archetypes, human beings fall into meaningless existence. The hero of Song of Solomon, Milkman, suffers from this loss of the archetypes when he lives in a city in Michigan state which represents his conscious world. His aunt, Pilate, who is also his archetype of the great mother, leads him to find his Self. He starts his journey from his city to the Afro-American villages called Danville and Shalimar to find the gold. From the Jungian perspective, by taking this journey, Milkman is flying from his conscious world to his deep unconscious world in order to find his Self. In this individuation process, he encounters various archetypes such as a shadow, great mother, old wise man, and anima. Through these meetings Milkman finally succeeds in flying to his Self.

        This study developes an overview of the madang(garden, yard, court) on the sources of dwelling of urban populace. The focus of this work is to analysis the pattern of the lower-income residents in Jeonju city and to grasp its meaning of the madang. The purpose of this essay presents the possibilities to conquer the social problems through understanding of the madang. This study is based on the essence of dwelling and is stem from qualities of the madang in the traditional architecture. As a result of studying the meaning of the madang of the dwelling of urban populace, the madang has typical character of open-space, expanding territory, and intermediations of relation of monad.

        풍하중을 받는 테이퍼 고층 건물의 감쇠율변화에 따른 횡방향 공력진동응답

        A wind-tunnel experiment using an aeroelastic tapered tall building model is carried out to investigate the tapering effect for reducing the across-wind response. Three tapered models which have different taper ratio of 5% and one basic model of a square cross-section without taper .Included in this study is the damping ratio effect of the model for reducing the response. Natural frequency and damping ratio of each model were estimated by the free vibration test. Tapering effect appears as the reduced wind speed is increased specially where the damping ratio of model has a higher value. At a lower value of damping ratio model tapering effect does not appears even a higher tapering ratio model it is.

        The purpose of this study was to survey and analyze the response of civil servants on the participation in sports activities and the cause of barrier in sprots participation with 400 civil servants (female:100, male:300) on the Yangpyong city in Kyongki province were answered by the questionnaire. Analysis of the data with 376(female:90, male:286) for the evaluation of the questionnaire can be acquired the more basis materials of sports environment for the civil servants. As result, we have the conclusion as follow. 1. The participation in sports activities among civil servants. The servey of the participation in sports activities among civil servants is as follows. The frequency of playing sports is 1∼2 in a week. The time last 30min.∼1hr. The preferance time is in the aftermoon. The major reason of playing sports is promotion of health. The most popular sports is jogging and marathon. 2. The cause of barrier in sports participation among civil servants is as follows in order. 1) Dissatisfaction of sports program 2) Difficulty of approach to sports club 3) Insufficiency of social support 4) Shortage of time 5) Low nterest in sports 6) Enerfation 7) Shortage of physical strength.
