Background/Aims: In most studies eradication of H. pylori has resolved the symptoms of dyspepsia in patient with or without peptic ulcer. But the symptomatic improvement of dyspepsia after eradication treatment remains unclear. The aim of this study was to find symptom characteristics of dyspepsia after eradication treatment of H. pylori and to see the association between symptom of dyspepsia and H. pylori findings. Methods: This was the cross sectional study in H. pylori patients with history of dyspepsia that had been administered eradication treatment of H. pylori for 1 week in 5 years period (2002-2007). Patients were invited to be interviewed about current symptoms of dyspepsia and then underwent urea breath test (UBT) examination to identify H. pylori. Global overall symptom of dyspepsia scale was used to assess the symptoms of dyspepsia. Results: There were 22 patients (13 male and 9 female) fulfilled the eligibility criteria for this study, 36.4% patients with eradication treatment history less than 1 year, and 63.6% patients more than 1 year. The symptoms of dyspepsia, the symptoms of dyspepsia were evaluated and as much as 77.3% (17/22) of patients, the symptoms of dyspepsia were subsided, and 22.7% (5/22) of patients with persistent symptoms after eradication. After eradication treatment, 72.7% (16/22) of patients appeared with negative Helicobacter pylori finding, and 27.3% (6/22) of patients remains positive. In negative group, 75% (12/16) of patients had relieved symptoms, and 25% (4/16) of patients with persistent symptom, and in positive group, as much as 83.8% (5/6) of patients the symptoms were relieved, and 16.7% (1/6) of patient remains persistent. We didn`t find any significant association between symptoms of dyspepsia and Helicobacter pylori status (p-0.581). Conclusions: In majority of patients, symptoms of dyspepsia after eradication treatment were resolved, but no significant association between symptoms of dyspepsia and Helicobacter pylori status.

This paper proposes a novel RF MEMS dc-contact switch with stiff membrane on a quartz substrate. The uniqueness of this work lies in the utilization of a seesaw mechanism to restore the movable part to its rest position. The switching action is done by using separate pull-down and pull-up electrodes, and hence operation of the switch does not rely on the elastic recovery force of the membrane. One of the main problems faced by electrostatically actuated MEMS switches is the high operational voltages, which results from bending of the membrane, due to internal stress gradient. This is resolved by using a stiff and thick membrane. This membrane consists of flexible meanders, for easy movement between the two states. The device operates with an actuation voltage of 6.43 V, an insertion loss of -0.047 dB and isolation of -51.82 dB at 2 GHz.

Factors Determining Decision to Rent Low-Cost Flats (RUSUNAWA)

The purpose of this study is to analyze and to provide suggestions to the government as developers and managers of RUSUNAWA to make it more effective and efficient in building and managing it. This research was conducted in three locations of rented low-cost flats in North Sumatra, namely RUSUNAWA Kayu Putih, RUSUNAWA Seruwai Belawan, and RUSUNAWA Binjai. The majority of respondents in this study were women who were in the productive age group of 30–40 years, but economic difficulties forced them to live in low-cost flats. This phenomenon shows that in the productive age poverty also occurs. This research applied a quantitative descriptive method by selecting three locations of RUSUNAWA in two cities in the North Sumatra Region and involving 200 tenants as respondents. The data was obtained by observing, interviewing, and distributing research questionnaires, and then were processed by SEM-PLS. The results showed that the factors determining the tenants to rent RUSUNAWA in North Sumatra Province are convenience, attractiveness, sanitation, cleanliness, design, and the location offered. It indicates that a healthy and clean environment, the condition of the building, and the facilities offered become the priorities for the tenants.

This paper presents a novel shunt radio frequency microelectromechanical system switch on a quartz substrate with stiff ribs around the membrane. The buckling effects in the switch membrane and stiction problem are the primary concerns with RF MEMS switches. These effects can be reduced by the proposed design approach due to the stiffness of the ribs around the membrane. A lower mass of the beam and a reduction in the squeeze film damping is achieved due to the slots and holes in the membrane, which further aid in attaining high switching speeds. The proposed switch is optimized to operate in the k-band, which results in a high isolation of -40 dB and low insertion loss of -0.047 dB at 21 GHz, with a low actuation voltage of only 14.6 V needed for the operation the switch. The membrane does not bend with this membrane design approach. Finite element modeling is used to analyze the stress and pull-in voltage.

Hepatitis C Infection and Chronic Renal Diseases: A Systematic Review
Tara Titian Maulidya,Fauzio Nurul Khaira,Febi Ramdhani Rachman,Reynold Harris Malingkas 대한의진균학회 2023 대한의진균학회지 Vol.28 No.2
A connection was reported between hepatitis C virus (HCV) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). A viral infection can be both a cause and a consequence of CKD. HCV infection is associated with a greater incidence of diabetes mellitus and CKD and a higher risk of systemic (particularly cardiovascular) effects because HCV infection increases the chance of illness developing. Although the fundamental symptom of HCV-induced glomerulonephritis has been well documented, the virus has been related to CKD in various ways, i.e., new evidence points to a connection between HCV infection and CKD onset, as well as the rapid advancement of CKD to end-stage renal disease, which calls for kidney transplantation or hemodialysis. An HCV infection dramatically increased a person's risk of developing CKD, which can lead to kidney failure. Compared with patients with HCV infection and existing CKD, those with HCV infection who had normal renal function had greater odds of renal progression. The administration of anti-hepatitis medication can result in variations in the estimated glomerular filtration rate, which can either lead to an improvement or a worsening of the patient's health, depending on which direction the variation goes.
