<P>Human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC)-derived exosomes have been spotlighted as a promising therapeutic agent for cell-free regenerative medicine. However, poor organ-targeting ability and insufficient therapeutic efficacy of systemically injected hMSC-exosomes were identified as critical limitations for their further applications. Therefore, in this study we fabricated iron oxide nanoparticle (IONP)-incorporated exosome-mimetic nanovesicles (NV-IONP) from IONP-treated hMSCs and evaluated their therapeutic efficacy in a clinically relevant model for spinal cord injury. Compared to exosome-mimetic nanovesicles (NV) prepared from untreated hMSCs, NV-IONP not only contained IONPs which act as a magnet-guided navigation tool but also carried greater amounts of therapeutic growth factors that can be delivered to the target cells. The increased amounts of therapeutic growth factors inside NV-IONP were attributed to IONPs that are slowly ionized to iron ions which activate the JNK and c-Jun signaling cascades in hMSCs. In vivo systemic injection of NV-IONP with magnetic guidance significantly increased the amount of NV-IONP accumulating in the injured spinal cord. Accumulated NV-IONP enhanced blood vessel formation, attenuated inflammation and apoptosis in the injured spinal cord, and consequently improved spinal cord function. Taken together, these findings highlight the development of therapeutic efficacy-potentiated extracellular nanovesicles and demonstrate their feasibility for repairing injured spinal cord.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
Conformational Effects on the Palladium-Mediated Tandem Alkene Insertion Reactions

Organopalladium chemistry has evolved as a powerful technique in organic synthesis. Among them, palladium-promoted intramolecular or intermolecular sequential alkene insertion reaction has recently attracted wide attention, because it constitutes a strong tool to form a series of C-Cbonds in a single step. One of the strategies to achieve the Pd(0)-catalyzed tandem reaction is the intramolecular cyclization followed by the intermolecular alkene insertion proecess. Mechanistically, the reaction is initiated by the coordination of the palladium(Ⅱ) species to π-electron of the alkene to generate cyclized organopalladium intermediate, which undergoes Heck-type reaction(eq.1) Therefore, obtaining the intramolecular proximity between the C=C bond and Pd(Ⅱ) is of great importance to achieve the efficient tandem insertions. Even though much synthetic efforts have been made in this area, the conformational effect of the organopalladium substrate is not well reported. In this paper, we want to describe the experimental observations and computational analysis on this topic.
LISTENPHOTO : AUTOMATIC MUSIC ANNOTATED PHOTO BROWSING SYSTEM

The popularization of the digital camera and advent of U.C.C., the amount of photos has exploded and the time for watching them has been increased. Photos make the viewers look back on their memories and stimulate their susceptibility. However, previous studies were limited to managing and searching for photos. In this paper, we proposed a multi modal photo browsing system that automatically selects and plays an appropriate music when watching a photo album via analyzing each photos. The system extracts features of each photo, analyzes the features compared with pre-learned information, and matches the result with the pre-classified music. We made an early user study comparing our multimodal photo browsing system. watching photo album without any background music and with randomly chosen music. The proposed. system selects a well matched music of each photo and increases the users' satisfaction by stimulating their emotional susceptibility. We expect that the proposed system will enrich the digital photo life.

디지털 카메라의 보급과 U.C.C. 개념의 등장으로 인하여 개인이 생산하는 사진의 양도 많아지고, 이를 감상하는 시간도 많아졌다. 사진이란 추억을 회상하는데 하나의 포인트 역할을 하는 매체이다. 따라서 인간의 감성적인 부분을 많이 자극되는데, 이 과정에서 추가적인 자극을 줌으로써 사용자의 감성을 더욱 자극할 수 있다. 하지만, 기존의 연구들은 디지털 사진을 검색하고 관리하는데 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 사진 앨범을 감상할 때에 개별 사진을 분석하여 전체 사진과 가장 잘 어울리는 배경음악을 추천/재생하는 ListenPhoto 시스템을 제안한다. 그리고, 시스템의 필요성에 대한 평가와 시스템 성능에 대한 평가 두 부분으로 나누어 평가를 진행하였다. 사용자들은 이 시스템을 통하여 풍부하게 디지털 사진 생활을 즐길 수 있게 될 것이다.
재생에너지 증가에 따른 765kV 2회선 및 융통선로 고장 시 전압안정도 검토

재생에너지 3020 정책에 따라 매년 계통에 유입되는 재생에너지가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 2020년 8차 전력수급계획에서 신재생 에너지 공급 확대를 위한 70kV 송전망이 신설되었다. 신설 계통에 765kV 2회선 고장 모의를 통해 재생에너지 출력 증가에 따른 전압안정도를 검토하고 계통의 신뢰도를 해치는 재생에너지 출력의 비중(용량)을 약 18.45GW 로 추정하였다. 향후 저전압이 발생한 충남, 전북 지역의 154kV 선로에 FACTS 등의 설비를 투입 계통보강을 위한 후속연구를 진행하고자 한다.
