      • Polychlorinated Biphenyls 투여로 인한 간세포의 상해기전에 관한 초미세형태학적 연구

        저자는 PCB투여로 인한 간세포의 형태학적 변화와 아울러 그 기능과의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 흰쥐에 PCB를 체중 ㎏당 10㎎, 20㎎, 40㎎ 및 80㎎을 경구적으로 1일 1회 2일간 투여한 후 경시적으로 관찰한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 광학 현미경적으로는 대조군과 체중 ㎏당 10㎎ 투여군을 제외한 군에서는 모두 경한 혹은 중등도의 지방 변화가 일어나 있으며 그 정도는 투여량이 증가할수록 심하였다. 전자 현미경적으로는 핵에 있어서는 핵 변연의 불규칙과 heterochromatin의 증가를, RER에 있어서는 수포화, 공포화, 단열 및 ribosome의 탈락등을, Golgi장치에 있어서는 확장을, SER에 있어서는 증식을, mitochondria에 있어서는 종창과 cristae의 소실을, glycogen과립에 있어서는 감소를, ribosome에 있어서는 유리형의 증가와 결합형의 감소를, lysosome에 있어서는 증가를, 그리고 lipid droplet의 증가등이 나타났는데 이상의 변화들 가운데 가장 현저한 것은 SER의 증식이었다. 이러한 변화의 정도는 PCB투여량이 증가할수록 심하였으나 체중 ㎏당 10㎎ 투여군과 20㎎ 투여군 사이에는 차이가 있어도 그 이상 투여군과의 사이에는 현저한 차이가 없었다. 간 기능 검사로 실시된 alkaline phosphatase, SGOT 및 SGPT 성적을 종합하면 대조군과 비교하여 유의한 차이는 없었다. 이상의 연구성적으로 보아 PCB를 투여하면 간세포에 있어서 SER의 증식이 현저히 일어나고 그밖에 경한 혹은 중등도의 핵 및 단백합성기구들의 기능저하와 lysosome의 증가가 일어난다. 그리고 이상의 형태학적 변화로서는 간기능의 이상이 초래되지 않는 것으로 보아 상기한 모든 형태적 변화는 가역성 변화로 생각된다. Author had administered 10㎎, 20㎎, 40㎎, and 80㎎ per ㎏ of body weight per day of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) for 2 days to white rats per orally and investigated morphologic changes of liver cells and correlation with liver function induced by PCB administration. The results were summarized as follows. Light microscopically, there were slight or moderate fatty changes in all rats except for control group and experimental group administered with 10㎎/㎏ of PCB. The severity of the fatty changes was proportioned to the dosage of PCB administered. Electron microscopically, important morphologic changes were nuclei with irregular margins and increased heterochromatin, fragmented, vesiculated and vacuolated RER with scanty ribosomes, dilated Golgi complexes, proliferated SER, swollen mitochondria with fewer cristae, decreased glycogen particles, increased free ribosomes, decreased attached ribosomes, increased lysosomes and increased lipid droplets. The most prominent feature among the above changes was proliferation of SER. These changes were pronounced in proportion to dosage of PCB administered. There were distinct morphologic changes between the groups administered with 10㎎/㎏ and 20㎎/㎏ of PCB but were no prominent differences among the groups admistered over 20㎎/㎏ of PCB. The activity of alkaline phosphatase, SGOT and SGPT did not show significant differences compared to the control group. From the above results, proliferation of SER was most prominently occurred in the liver cells after PCB administered. In addition, slight or moderate decrease of functional activities of the nuclei and cell organelles for protein synthesis and increase in appearance of lysosomes were occurred. The morphologic changes mentioned above seemed to be reversible because the morphologic alterations did not impair enzymatic activity of the liver cells.

        杜仲과 木瓜의 混合 煎湯液이 흰쥐의 卵巢摘出로 유발한 骨多孔症에 미치는 影響

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Eucommiae Cortex and Chaenomelis Fructus on the aged ovariectomized rat, similar model with postmenopausal osteoporosis. The results of the experiment are as follows, 1. The body weight in OVX/ECCF group showed a increase.. 2. The level of S-AST and S-ALT in OVX/ECCF group significantly reduced. 3. Urinary volume and creatinine in OVX/ECCF group reduced.. The level of urinary deoxypyridinoline in OVX/ECCF group fignificantly reduced. According to the above results, this experiment indicates that OVX/ECCF group stimulated born formation and diminished the loss of born marrow, then recovered the failure of liver function on ovariectomized rat. In conclusion, an extract of Eucommiae Cortex and Chaenomelis Fructus showed preventive and curing effects in treating osteoporosis of ovariectomized rats. This result suggests that it can be used in preventing senile and postmenopausal osteoporosis. As for its effects, continuous clinical study is needed.

      • 국가 수준의 과학탐구능력 평가체제 개발

        본 연구의 목적은 국가적 수준에서 우리나라 초·중·고등학교 학생의 과학탐구 능력을 점검해볼 수 있는 평가체제를 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 많은 전문인력이 연구에 참여하였고, 과학탐구 평가들과 평가 문항을 개발하였다. 개발된 평가 문항을 여러 차례 수정보완한 후, 325개의 문항을 958명의 학생에게 예비 검사를 실시하여 현장 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 예비 검사 결과 문항 특성이 만족스럽지 못한 문항은 삭제하여 240개의 문항을 본 검사 문항으로 확정하였다. 본 검사는 총 8,906명의 학생을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 검사결과를 고전검사이론과 문항반응이론에 의하여 분석한 결과 난이도, 변별도, 신뢰도 등이 매우 우수하다는 것이 판명되었다. 앞으로 본 연구에서 개발된 과학탐구 평가틀을 이용하여 더 많은 문항이 개발될 수 있으며, 이러한 문항을 이용하여 우리나라 학생들의 과학탐구능력을 주기적으로 점검할 수 있을 것이다. Inquiry approach in teaching science has been widespread in Korea since the Third National Curriculum in 1970's. But the effect of the approach has never been evaluated systematically in Korea, so the science educators do not know if the inquiry approach really works and if any critical problems inhibit the effect of the approach. In this context, the NAEP of the Unied States and the APU of the United Kingdom were model programs for assessing the effect of the inquiry approach in teaching science. The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment system for evaluating the effect of inquiry teaching in elementary and secandary schools. For this purpose, an assessment framework and 240 test items were developed and tried with a sample of 8,906 students. The results say that the developed tests are reliable. The average Cronbach α reliability coefficient of the tests was 0.69. The discrimination index(point-biserial correlation coefficient) ranged from 0.39 to 0.54 with a mean of 0.49, which indiate they are excellent in discriminating students in terms of their inquiry achievement. The test items were also analyzed by "item response theory." The results also say that the items are successfully developed.

        시상골 골절단술시 근심골편의 변위를 방지하기위한 lingual fracture technique

        The sagittal split osteotomy of the mandibular ramus is a common procedure which has been used in the correction of mandibular deformities for a few decades. Although the technical improvements have increased the reliability and stability of SSRO procedure, the postoperative relapse is imperative and clinically more significant than any other complication. One of the major causes of the relapse is due to the displacement of the proximal segment during SSRO procedure, which is well documented in the literature. Therefore it is important to preserve the original position of the proximal segment during SSRO proced and maxillofacial fixation period. In the case of mandibular asymmetry, if one side of mandible is advanced and the other side of mandible is setback during SSRO procedure, the proximal segment in the advancement site will rotate laterally and the proximal segment in the setback site will rotate medially. For the prevention of the lateral rotation or flaring of the proximal segment in the advancment site. we deliberately fracture the posterior protion of the distal segment in green-stick fashion during SSRO procedure, and there is no need to fix the fractured lingual segment. We fix the two octeotomized bony segments in the buccal cortex area rigidly with adjustable monocortical plates and screws. During SSRO procedure the lingual fracture technique was applied to nine patients with severe mandibular asymmetry who underwent orthognathic surgery in our hospital since march, 1992. These clinical experiencies enable us to find the lingual fracture technique has the following advantages. 1. The proximal segment is displaced minimally. 2. The osteotomized bony segments are contacted intimately. 3. The postoperative relapse and the healing period are decreased.

        섬유강화 플라스틱 복합재의 성형공정에 관한 연구 : 일방향 섬유강화 복합재의 점도측정 및 유동해석 Flow analysis and Measurement of viscosity of Unidirectional Fiber Reinforced Plastic Composites

        During a compression molding process of Unidirectional Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites, control of filling patterns in mold and distribution of fiber is needed to predict the effects of molding parameters on the flow characteristics. To obtain an excellent product and decide optimum molding conditions, it is important to know the relationship between molding conditions and viscosity. In this study, the anisotropic viscosity of the Unidirectional Fiber-Reinforced Polymeric Composites is measured by using the parallel plastometer. The model for flow state has been simulated by using the viscosity. The composites is treated as an incompressible New-tonian fluid. The effects of longitudinal transverse viscosity ratio A and slip parameter α on buldging phenomenon and mold filling patterns, are also discussed.

        복숭아 발효주 개발에 관한 연구

        복숭아 발효주를 개발하기 위하여 "유명" 과실에 효소 및 열처리하여 착즙수율을 측정하고 청주용 효모와 포도주용 야생 효모로 발효시킨 복숭아술의 성분과 기호성을 조사하였다. Pectinase와 cellulase를 혼합 처리한 경우 착즙수율이 89.2%로 가장 높았고 pectinase, hemicellulase와 cellulase등을 단독으로 처리했을 때도 80%이상의 착즙수율을 보였다. 복숭아술의 총산은 0.30%에서 0.36%이었다. 에틸알코올올 함량은 포도주용 야생 효모인 Saccharomyces cerevisiae 49-2가 14.5%로 가장 높았으나, 기호성은 고온성 효모인 Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71로 발효시킨 술이 가장 좋았다. Juice yield of peach "Yoo Myung" by pretreatment of various enzymes and heat was determined, and physicochemical properties of peach wine fermented by some Saccharomyces cerevisiae were also investigated. 89.2% of juice yield was showed in mixture treatment of pectinase and cellulase at 35℃ for 8 hrs, 82% of yield was also showed in single treatment of pectinase and cellulase. Ethyl alcohol content of peach wine fermented by wild type Saccharomyces cerevisiae 49-2 was 14.5%. However, wine from thermophilic Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 was excellent in taste and flavor.

        일방향 섬유강화 플라스틱 복합재의 점도에 미치는 성형인자의 영향

        The Compression molding process is widely used in the automotive industry to produce parts that are large, thin, light-weight, strong and stiff. Compression molded parts are formed by squeezing a glass fiber reinforced polypropylene sheet, known as glass mat thermoplastic(GMT), between two heated cavity surfaces. In this study, the an isotropic viscosity of the Unidirectional Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Composites is measured using the parallel plastometer and the composites is treated as an incompressible Newtonian fluid. The effects of molding parameter and fiber contents ratio on longitudinal/transverse viscosity are also discussed.

        장섬유강화 고분자 복합판의 프레스 성형에 있어서 니트라인에 관한 연구

        In recent years, compression molding of lone fiber-reinforced thermoplastics has been increased in commercial aspects. In the process of compression molding of composites, the flow analysis must he developed in order to accurately predict the finished part properties as a function of the molding process parameters. In this model FRTP is assumed to be nonisothermal fluid, which has different viscosities in extensional and in shear. For verification of the model, the formation of a knit line in the L-shaped parts is compared with that of experiments results. In this paper we will discuss the effects of extensional & shears viscosity ratio ξ and slip parameter α on the other mold fill-ing parameters

        측두하악관절염에서 발생한 희귀한 골화현상

        Osteoarthritis is a noninflammatory degenerative disease affecting the articular surfaces and is accompanied by remodeling of the underlying bone. The sympotms of osteoarthritis of the temporomandibular joint are pain in the joint and muscles of mastication, limitation. Osteoarthritis is generally accepted that several factors can contribute to the trauma, aging process, internal derangement and MPDS. Radiographic features of the osteoarthritis are seen flattening of joint, sclerosis on flattened area and osteophyte or anterior lipping. In the past, osteoarthritis was considered to self-limiting disease. Currently, synovial chondro-membrane is part of the process of osteoarthritis secondary to trauma. Synovial chondromatosis is an uncommon disease of cartilaginous transformation of synovial membrane with formation of loose bodies within the joint space. The pathogenesis in more an active metaplastic than a neoplastic process. The cause of synovial chondromatosis is unknown. Although trauma and inflammation have all been cited as possible factors in tis pathogenesis. The clinical sign and symptoms are unilateral swelling of the joint region, pain in the joint area and crepitus seem to be the most reliable signs and symptoms. Radiographic evidence of loose bodies may or may not be present. This is a case report of 66 year old female with synovial chondromatosis, that is advanced disease of the osteoarthrits. We treated patient with surgical excision of lose bodies, diskectomy and synovectomy. The defected articular fossa area was reconstructed with temporalis fascia flap. The result was satisfactory.
