This study was on investigation of cuttings after 24 hrs. treatment of IBA 20ppm solution of 10 stage pH level, in order to promote rooting of cuttings of Thuja occidentalis L. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Different pH values of auxin solution for rooting promotion of cuttings were significantly influential in rooting. 2. In the cutting collected from 8-years old Thuja occidentalis L., very good results were obtained from the pH 6.0-6.5 level of 20 ppm IBA solution, good results from the pH 5.5 and pH 7 level, and poor results from the pH level near strong acid. 3. In the development of rooting system, average rooting numbers, rooted lengths and rooted weights were developed in proportion to the rooting ratio. 4. Rooting portions were observed with the naked eye to develop in formed callus and epidermis tissue, in epidermis tissue above formed callus, and in epidermis tissue above portion without formed callus. Color of callus portion was reddish-brown.

Locoregional recurrence is the most common type of recurrence in surgical operation of gastric adenocarcinoma, and peritoneal dissemination is one of the most difficult problems in advanced gastric adenocarcinoma treatment. Because the peritoneal cavity is the most common site of the first recurrence after gastric cancer resection, intraperitoneal chemotherapy seems a logical choice for cancer chemotherapy. In this study, Mitomycin C (MMC)-activated charcoal (CH)-alginate (ALG) beads were prepared by the mixtures of CH particles adsorbed with MMC as an anti-cancer drug and aqueous alginate solution. The alginate is recognized as biodegradable, nontoxic, and biocompatible. The release of MMC from the beads in 0.1 M Tris buffer was stable and continuous until about 1 week. The MMC-CH-ALG beads can be applied in the peritoneal cavity for intraperitoneal chemotherapy since they provide a good adhesiveness on the tissue and controlled release pattern of the drugs.

The response of callus formation and the growth rates of sectioned Gingko hypocotyl to upper, middle and lower section cultured with several methods on white's basic medium are summarised as follow; 1. Organ culture sectioned hypocotyl to upper, middle and lower sections is most flourished at the lower section and followed middle and upper. 2. Sectioned hypocotyl which had attached same ranks of endosperm in embryo are better developed than isolated one. 3. When the upper section of sectioned hypocotyl transfer to lower endosperm and lower one to upper none accelerated effect are given on the endosperm. 4. Shoot without root have developed on lower hypocotyl section attached endosperm.

In this paper, the use of versatile digital image storege and processing system for scanning acoustic microscope(SAM system) has been described. In addition to the data acquisition and storage functions, different types of image processing techniques of relevance to scanning acoustic microscope have been studied and analyzed. These include gray level-thresholding and edge enhancement, spatial filtering, and pseudo-color processing algorithms. In experiment, it has been shown that these techniques could enhance particular aspects of the acoustic image of filter out unwanted noise.

專攻-適性 不一致 大學生의 專攻學科 適應指導方案에 關한 硏究

A large portion of college students show dissatisfaction with their majors. This study presumed that this satisfaction might be caused by discrepancy between major and aptitude and that the problems of this students might be serious. In these regards, this study was attempted to search for the causes of the problems and to develop a small group counseling program for solving them. This study is composed of two substudies. The first part of this study was to examine systematically the variables related to their dissatisfaction with their majors, on the bases of the expectancy motivation theory of organizational behavior. Subjects were 500 juniors, selected from 10 departments of Chon-buk National University. The dependent variables were measured by three. subscales taken from the Program Evaluation Survey. They included the satisfaction with intellectual level of major curriculum, the satisfaction with student-faculty relationships, and the general interests of major academics. Four independent measures were also collected, including major-related expectancy, central life interests, academic achievement, and aptitude. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1) Consistent with the expectancy motivation model, the central life interests, major-related expectancy, and academic achievement were all a significant predictors of the subscales of satisfaction with majors, in group as well as individually, and these predictor variables also revealed differentiated effects on each of three dependent variables. 2) Contrast with the selected model, academic achievement revealed no significant relationship to the expectancy variables, except for the central life interests. The second part of this study was to develop a small group counseling program, through which students might perform successfully their own major tasks, overcoming their dissatisfaction caused by the major-aptitude discrepancy, and to examine its effectiveness in practice. Based on the conceptual nature of group counseling, group counseling theories and group career development programs, and group-establishing processes, this study developed a group counseling program for major-aptitude development. Subjects were 10 freshmen and 10 juniors, who had thought their majors were inconsistent to their central life interests. They worked through the program two hours a week six weekly long. This study has shown the following facts : 1) The program increased significantly their satisfaction with majors. This result was true equally for each subscore as well as the total score of the satisfaction scale. 2) Also, the effect of program differed significantly by sex and grade, but was not differentiated by grade alone. On the bases of these findings, finally, this study suggested some of research problems, which need to be investigated in future studies on major-adjustment programs for college students with major-aptitude discrepancy.

심혈관계를 침범한 Wilms종양 1례

This report is a presentation of a rare case of wilms tumor involved rigth kidney, right renal vein, ingerior vena cava and right atrium seen in a girl of 4 years of age, who presented abdominal distention and hematuria for last 1 month. Ultrasonography of the abdomen revealed dilatation of right renal vein and inferior vena cava and mass iesion in the right atrium was seen on Echocardiogram. A mass of the right upper quadrant which invaded inferior vena cava and right atrium through the right renal vein was found on CT scan of the chest and abdomen, which suggested the wilms tumor of right kidney propagated into the right renal vein, inferior vean cava and right atrium as a tumor thrombosis. A brief review of literature was made.

This paper presents an enterprise resource planning(ERP) research framework which aids in making a decision for current and future ERP research agenda in terms of a managerial concern. A case study has been utilized for this study. The case study shows the following findings: (1) a manager's role is important to adapt a successful ERP (2) user's education needs to implement thoroughly (3) proper investment is required for system operation, if ERP system installed (4) multimedia is required for internet/intranet (5) construction of Relational Data Base Management System(RDBMS) may be required. This study will provide a management with an insight for installing ERP ststem as a strategic weapon in an organization.

Rat의 복강내에 투여한 5-fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid 제형이 장기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

For more effective intraperitoneal chemotherapy, the authers made 5-fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid composite disks(FU-PGA disks) with 5-fluorouracil and polyglycolic acid, a biodegradable polymer. We inserted the FU-PGA disk into the peritoneal cavites of Sprague-Dawley male rats, the control and three experimental groups; one FU-PGA disk insert group(300mg/kg), two FU-PGA disk insert group(600mg/kg), and three FU-PGA disk insert group(900mg/kg). The control group received a similar number of PGA disk inserts. A pharmacokinetic study was performed to measure the 5-fluorouracil concentration in the peritoneal fluid, blood, and tissues(liver, kidney and heart) at 24 hours, 72hours and 168 hours after insertion of the FU-PGA disk. Light and electron microscopic studies were done. The results were as follows: 1) The number of white blood cells and platelets decreased after FU-PGA insertion. The degree was proportional to the duration and amounts inserted. The change in the number of red blood cells varied slightly. 2) Light microscopically, slight changes were noted at 168 hours in the 3 disk insert group (900mg/kg). Mild fatty change and hepatocyte degeneration around the central veins of the liver were noted, with vacuolar degeneration in the proximal convoluted tubules of the kidney. 3) Electron microscopically,the liver showed focal increases of lipid droplets in the hepatocytes, and irregular nuclear membrane with focal nucleolar segregation of the fibrillar and granular elements. Also the double membranous structure of the hepatocytes and Kupffer cells was widened with bleb formation. The kidney showed wide separation of the nuclear double membrane in the proximal convoluted tubular cells and mesangial cells, with vacuolation and myelin figure formation in the mitochondria of the proximal convoluted tubular cells, at 72 hours and 168 hours in the 2 to 3 FU-PGA insert groups. The heart showed focal loss of cristae,vacuolation and myelin figure formation in the mitochondria of the 2 to 3 FU-PGA insert groups. In conclusion, despite the large amont of FU-PGA inserted, the histopathological changes in the liver, kidney and heart were slight, and consonant with the very low amount of 5-fluorouracil concentrations detected in the liver, kidney and heart. The above results suggest that the FU-PGA composite can serve as a new device for releasing drugs in a controlled manner and easily targeted to intraperitoneal organs. This device can improve the efficacy of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric cancer.

I wanted to know the organization and educational affairs of the 8 open universities in Korea and Chinju open university, and surveyed the school regulations and rules of education matters. (1) The organization of open university is composed of departments and faculties, a graduate school, auxiliary organs and educational administrative branches. Also, the open university is made up of a student council and a faculty council, and a student council is divided into a student’s meeting for the student activities and a board of representatives for decision A faculty council is delibration organization, and departments, auxiliary organs and educational administrative branches are executive organization for the school affairs. (2) The students of open university are selected out of the university selective examination, and the method of entrance into open university is various, there are the fresh, admissible, transmissible entrance and reentrance etc. The period of attendance at an undergraduate is unlimitted, but the period of temporary absence from school is two years. A school year is decided by the obtained credits, an university has the first, second and seasonal term. (3) The opening credits of the total subjects on a shcool curriculum are 110~l35% of the graduation credits(l40 units), that of the curriculum studies are drawn up 0~30% of the total opening credits. But, the opening credits of the essential subjects are formed different from an university. A student can apply the 20~21 units per a term and take 38~40 units per a school year. (4) The result of studies is estimated by the presence, reports, examination, practice and experimentation etc., that is recorded at the degree of 9 steps(A^+~D^0). A graduation examination and ceremony is enforced twice per a school year, also, the subjects of a graduation examination are English and the 4 subjects of major field. One who take 40~60% over of a subject and 60% over of total subjects is paased in a graduation examination. (5) The educational money due is decided by the applied credit units, and the student with excellent results and a labour service to be paid from a scholarship fund. But, student can't act political activities and political party's activeties, also, can't activeties in a management of educational affairs. (6) There are school regulations, educational rule, rules of student activities, management rules of auxiliary organs, rules of committe and rules of administrative branches on the educational affairs.

톤-버스트 신호를 이용한 초음파 콘크리트 탐상의 성능개선

In this paper, we proposed to use tone-burst signal instead of impulse signal for performance enhancement of ultrasonic concrete inspecting. In experimented results, it has been shown that input-to-output ratio of the tone-burst signal could obtain higher than that of impulse signal.
