In vitro stability evaluation of coated lipase

Liu, Lu Jie,Zhu, Jia,Wang, Bin,Cheng, Chu,Du, Yong Jie,Wang, Min Qi Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2017 Animal Bioscience Vol.30 No.2

Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate the stability of commercial coated lipase (CT-LIP) in vitro. Methods: The capsules were tested under different conditions with a range of temperature, pH, dry heat treatment and steaming treatment, simulated gastric fluid (SGF) and simulated intestinal fluid (SIF) in this work, respectively. Free lipase (uncoated lipase, UC-LIP) was the control group. Lipase relative activities measured in various treatments were used as a reference frame to characterize the stability. Results: The lipase activities were decreased with increasing temperatures (p<0.05), and there was a markedly decline (p<0.01) in lipase comparative activities of UC-LIP at $80^{\circ}C$ compared with CT-LIP group. Higher relative activities of lipase were observed in CT-LIP group compared with the free one under acidic ambient (pH 3 to 7) and an alkaline medium (pH 8 to 12). Residual lipase activities of CT-LIP group were increased (p<0.05) by 5.67% and 35.60% in dry heat and hydrothermal treatments, respectively. The lipase relative activity profile of CT-LIP was raised at first and dropped subsequently (p<0.05) compared with constantly reduced tendency of UC-LIP exposed to both SGF and SIF. Conclusion: The results suggest that the CT-LIP possesses relatively higher stability in comparison with the UC-LIP in vitro. The CT-LIP could retain the potential property to provide sustained release of lipase and thus improved its bioavailability in the gastrointestinal tract.

      • RFID Indoor Localization Algorithm Based on Adaptive Self-Correction

        Yunhua Gu,Junyong Zhang,Jin Wang,Bao Gao,Jie Du 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.8 No.6

With the rapid development of wireless communication and embedded system, wireless positioning systems are paid more and more attention to. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) localization system is getting more important, due to its own advantages, such as no contact, non-line-of-sight nature, promising transmission range and cost-effectiveness. To improve the accuracy of active RFID indoor location system, some traditional RFID indoor localization systems were studied, such as LANDMARC. On this basis, an adaptive self-correction location algorithm was presented, which uses a positioning correction value to correct the positioning result. N minimum errors and position results are obtained by using adaptive K-nearest neighbor algorithm N times. The positioning correction value calculated with N minimum errors in weighted way. The sum of the positioning average value and the positioning correction value would be the final positioning results. Experimental results show that compared with adaptive K-nearest neighbor algorithm and error self-correction algorithm, the proposed method provides a higher accuracy and stability.

        Jie-Guang Song,Gang-Chang Ji,Shi-Bin Li,Yang-Liang Li,Da-Ming Du,Lian-Meng Zhang,Yin-Yan Ju 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2009 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.10 No.4

ZrB2, YAG and Al2O3 are widely applied because of some excellent properties, but ZrB2 is easily oxidized in high-temperature air. To achieve better properties in ZrB2 ceramics, high-density ZrB2-YAG-Al2O3 ceramics were prepared. Below 1000℃, the shrinkage of ZrB2-YAG-Al2O3 ceramics is less than that of ZrB2-YAG ceramics. From 1000℃ to 1600℃, the second largest shrinkage occurs. Above 1600℃, the shrinkage of ZrB2-YAG-Al2O3 ceramics is more than that of ZrB2-YAG ceramics. The fracture toughness of sintered ceramics from coated raw materials is higher than that of sintered ceramics with mixed raw materials with the same phases and phase content, the fracture toughness of ZrB2-YAG-Al2O3 ceramics is higher than that of ZrB2-YAG ceramics with the same raw materials. The weight gain of all types of ceramics is increased with all increase in the oxidation temperature, the weight gain of ceramics is reduced with all increase in the YAG-Al2O3 content and Al2O3 proportion, especially above 1500℃. The Compact Pulsed Hadron Source: A Design Perspective

        Jie Wei,Huaibi Chen,Cheng Cheng,Qiang Du,Zhe Feng,Xialin Guan,Xiaoxue Han,Tuchen Huang,Renkai Li,Chun K. Loong,Beibei Shao,Chuanxiang Tang,Qingzi Xing,Yigang Yang,Hao Zha,Huayi Zhang,Shuxin Zheng,Bin 한국물리학회 2010 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.56 No.61

During the past decades, large-scale national neutron sources have been developed in Asia, Europe, and North America. Complementing such efforts, compact hadron beam complexes and neutron sources intended to serve primarily universities and industrial institutes have been proposed, and some have recently been established. Responding to the demand in China for pulsed neutron/proton-beam platforms that are dedicated to fundamental and applied research for users in multiple disciplines from materials characterization to hadron therapy and radiography to accelerator-driven sub-critical reactor systems (ADS) for nuclear waste transmutation, we have initiated the construction of a compact, yet expandable, accelerator complex-the Compact Pulsed Hadron Source (CPHS). It consists of an accelerator front-end (a high-intensity ion source, a 3-MeV radio-frequency quadrupole linac (RFQ), and a 13-MeV drift-tube linac (DTL)), a neutron target station (a beryllium target with solid methane and room-temperature water moderators/reflector),and experimental stations for neutron imaging/radiography, small-angle scattering, and proton irradiation. In the future, the CPHS may also serve as an injector to a ring for proton therapy and radiography or as the front end to an ADS test facility. In this paper, we describe the design of the CPHS technical systems and its intended operation.

Effect of the sintering technology on the properties of fired brick from quartz sands

        Jie-Guang Song,Fang Wang,Xiao-Bo Bai,Da-Ming Du,Yin-Yan Ju,Ming-Han Xu,Gang-Chang Ji 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2011 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.12 No.4

River sands as low grade natural raw materials are used to prepare the fired brick to replace clay fired bricks, which aims to save land resources and use low grade natural resources to realize high cost performance. In this paper, the effect of sintering technology of bricks on their performance is discussed. The compressive strength of fired bricks is first increased and then decreased with an increase in the sintering temperature, the compressive strength of bricks prepared by the isostatic compaction shaping is higher than that of bricks prepared by the plastic shaping under the same conditions. The compressive strength of bricks reaches 28 MPa when sintered at 1150 oC by using a 20MPa isostatic compaction shaping method. The compressive strength of bricks is first increased and then decreased by prolonging the holding time, the compressive strength of bricks reaches 28.9MPa when sintered at 1150 oC for 2 h.

The effect of the oxidation conditions on the surface microdomains of ZrB2-YAG ultra-high temperature ceramics

        Jie-Guang Song,Min-Han Xu,Da-Ming Du,Fang Wang,Shi-Bin Li,Gang-Chang Ji 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2013 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.14 No.4

Zirconium diboride is widely applied because of some excellent properties. The effect of the oxidation temperature on the surface microdomain of ZrB2-YAG multi-phase ceramics was studied, it helps to improve the performance of ultra-hightemperature ceramics. The results show the oxidation layer thickness is increased with an increase in the oxidation temperature, the oxidation layer thickness is decreased by increasing the density of multi-phase ceramics at the same oxidation temperature. The ceramic surface shows the (m)ZrO2, YAG, B2O3 and ZrB2 phases below the the oxidation temperature at 1300 ο C, but the ceramic surface do not show the ZrB2 phase above the oxidation temperature at 1300 ο C that is to say, the ZrB2 phase of the ceramic suface is entirely oxidized. The oxidation layer thickness is increased with an increase in the oxidation time, however, the ratio of increasing thickness is less and less. The oxidation layer shows a loose structure during the initial stage of the oxidation, which lacks a barriers for the diffusion of the oxygen.

Effect of aggregates of elements induced by rare earth doping on toughening of tailing-derived glass-ceramics

        Du Yongsheng,Ma Jie,Zhang Xuefeng,Zhang Hongxia,Chen Hua,Ouyang Shunli,Baowei Li 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2019 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.20 No.4

Tailings glass-ceramics doped with different proportion of CeO2 were prepared by conventional melts and controllable crystallization. The effect of CeO2 on the microstructure, element distribution characteristics and fracture toughness of glassceramics was studied in this paper. Significant change in microstructure was not observed with the addition of rare earth oxide, but the phenomenon of element aggregates begins to appear in glass-ceramics and the element enrichment of Si, Al, Na and Ce can be observed in the element aggregates. As a result, the integrity of the glass network structure can be improved and the strength of glass phase contributed to the enhancement of fracture toughness. The doping of 3.0% CeO2 achieved a remarkable improvement on fracture toughness that reached 2.86 MPa*m1/2 with a Vickers hardness of 8.49 GPa.

Antitumorigenic and antiangiogenic efficacy of apatinib in liver cancer evaluated by multimodality molecular imaging

        Jie Tian,Qian Liang,Lingxin Kong,Yang Du,Xu Zhu 생화학분자생물학회 2019 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.51 No.-

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common causes of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Sorafenib is the standard first-line treatment for advanced HCC, but its efficacy is limited. Apatinib is a small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that has shown promising antitumor effects in gastric and non-small cell lung cancers in clinical trials, but there have been only a few studies reporting its anti-HCC effects in vitro and in HCC xenograft models. Hence, our present study systemically investigated and compared the antitumorigenic and antiangiogenic efficacy of apatinib and sorafenib in HCC in vitro and in vivo using multimodality molecular imaging, including bioluminescence imaging (BLI), bioluminescence tomography (BLT), fluorescence molecular imaging (FMI), and computed tomography angiography (CTA). Moreover, the safety and side effects of the two drugs were systemically evaluated. We found that apatinib showed a comparable therapeutic efficacy to sorafenib for the inhibition of HCC. The drug safety evaluation revealed that both of these drugs caused hypertension and mild liver and kidney damage. Sorafenib caused diarrhea, rash, and weight loss in mice, but these effects were not observed in mice treated with apatinib. In conclusion, apatinib has similar antitumorigenic and antiangiogenic efficacy as sorafenib in HCC with less toxicity. These findings may provide preclinical evidence supporting the potential application of apatinib for the treatment of HCC patients.

A complete S-shape feed rate scheduling approach for NURBS interpolator

Du, Xu,Huang, Jie,Zhu, Li-Min Society for Computational Design and Engineering 2015 Journal of computational design and engineering Vol.2 No.4

This paper presents a complete S-shape feed rate scheduling approach (CSFA) with confined jerk, acceleration and command feed rate for parametric tool path. For a Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) tool path, the critical points of the tool path where the radius of curvature reaches extreme values are found firstly. Then, the NURBS curve is split into several NURBS sub-curves or blocks by the critical points. A bidirectional scanning strategy with the limitations of chord error, normal/tangential acceleration/jerk and command feed rate is employed to make the feed rate at the junctions between different NURBS blocks continuous. To improve the efficiency of the feed rate scheduling, the NURBS block is classified into three types: short block, medium block and long block. The feed rate profile corresponding to each NURBS block is generated according to the start/end feed rates and the arc length of the block and the limitations of tangential acceleration/jerk. In addition, two compensation strategies are proposed to make the feed rate more continuous and the arc increment more precise. Once the feed rate profile is determined, a second-order Taylor's expansion interpolation method is applied to generate the position commands. Finally, experiments with two free-form NURBS curves are conducted to verify the applicability and accuracy of the proposed method.

Oxidation behavior of YAG-ZrB2 ceramics prepared by spark plasma sintering

        Jie-Guang Song,Da-Ming Du,Yin-Yan Ju,Yang-Liang Li,Shi-Bin Li,Gang-Chang Ji 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2010 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.11 No.4

ZrB2 and YAG are widely applied because of some excellent properties, but ZrB2 is easily oxidized in high-temperature air. To make ZrB2 ceramics have better oxidation resistance, high-density YAG-ZrB2 ceramics were prepared. The oxidation behavior of YAG-ZrB2 ceramics is investigated at different temperatures. The results indicate that the enhanced weight change differs according to the temperature range, slightly in the temperature 900-1000oC, sharply from 1100-1300 and smoothly above 1300oC. The weight change rate of YAG-ZrB2 ceramics is increased by prolonging the oxidation time, but the weight change rate of YAG-ZrB2 ceramics is gradually reduced. The oxidation layer is porous as compared to the YAG-ZrB2 ceramics layer.
