A mesh-free analysis method of structural elements of engineering structures based on B-spline wavelet basis function

        Jianping Chen,Wenyong Tang,Pengju Huang,Li Xu 국제구조공학회 2016 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.57 No.2

The paper is devoted to study a mesh-free analysis method of structural elements of engineering structures based on B-spline Wavelet Basis Function. First, by employing the moving-least square method and the weighted residual method to solve the structural displacement field, the control equations and the stiffness equations are obtained. And then constructs the displacement field of the structure by using the m-order B-spline wavelet basis function as a weight function. In the end, the paper selects the plane beam structure and the structure with opening hole to carry out numerical analysis of deformation and stress. The Finite Element Method calculation results are compared with the results of the method proposed, and the calculation results of the relative error norm is compared with Gauss weight function as weight function. Therefore, the clarification verified the validity and accuracy of the proposed method.

      • Flash Flood Hazard Susceptibility Mapping Using Two Statistical Methods in Coalmine Subsidence Areas

        ( Chen Cao ),( Peihua Xu ),( Jianping Chen ),( Qing Wang ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2

This study focused on producing flash flood hazard susceptibility maps (FFHSM) using frequency ratio (FR) and statistical index (SI) models in the Xiqu Gully (XQG) of Beijing, China. First, a total of 85 flash flood hazard locations (n= 85) were surveyed in the field and plotted using geographic information system (GIS) software. Based on the flash flood hazard locations, a flood hazard inventory map was built. Seventy percent of the flooding hazard locations were randomly selected for building the models. The remaining 30% of the flooded hazard locations were used for validation. XQG used to be a coal mining area, coalmine caves and subsidence caused by coal mining exist in this catchment, as well as many ground fissures. Thus, this study took the subsidence risk level into consideration for FFHSM. The ten conditioning parameters were elevation, slope, curvature, land use, geology, soil texture, subsidence risk area, stream power index (SPI), topographic wetness index (TWI), and short-term heavy rain. This study also tested different classification schemes for the values for each conditional parameter and checked their impacts on the results. The accuracy of the FFHSM was validated using area under the curve (AUC) analysis. Classification accuracies were 86.61%, 83.35%, and 78.52% using frequency ratio (FR)-natural breaks, statistical index (SI)-natural breaks and FR-manual classification schemes, respectively. Associated prediction accuracies were 83.69%, 81.22%, and 74.23%, respectively. It was found that FR modeling using a natural breaks classification method was more appropriate for generating FFHSM for the Xiqu Gully.

      • A Study on Anisotropic Characteristics of Representative Elementary Volumes of Rock Mass

        ( Jianping Chen ),( Ying Liu ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2

Asymmetric, anisotropy, irregular, discontinuity is the basic properties of rock mass due to the fractures extensive universal developed, that gives rise to complicated physical and mechanical behavior of rock mass, strength of rock mass is influenced by size effect, representative elementary volumes (RVE) has a very close relationship with the size effect of the rock mass, RVE value is calculated in different direction, the result shows that the RVE also has the anisotropic characteristics. Field observation value of fractures is obtained by the method of sampling windows during the field geological survey, then, the statistical homogenous zones is demarcated based on Miller’s method, the bias of observed trace length, orientation and spacing of fractures is corrected in each homogenous unit, and then a three dimensional fracture network models for different homogenous unit are established by using Monte-Carlo method. The REV of rock mass is calculated based on the three-dimensional fracture network. Based on the 3D fracture network model, the volume fracture intensity index (P32) and multisampling non-parametric statistical test method are used to analyze the REV characteristics in different sampling directions. With the increase of the number of fracture groups, the anisotropic characteristics of REV become more obvious. Co-expression of silkworm allatostatin-C receptor BNGR-A1 with its cognate G protein subunits enhances the GPCR display on the budding baculovirus

        Jianping Chen,Jian Xu,Masato Hino,Mami Yamashita,Kazuma Hirata,Anandrao Ashok Patil,Tsuneyuki Tatsuke,Hiroaki Mon,Yutaka Banno,Takahiro Kusakabe,Jae Man Lee 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.3

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are seven transmembrane proteins, which play an essential role in transmitting various extracellular signals into cells. For functional and structural analysis of GPCRs, it is necessary to produce active GPCRs in high quantitieswith outstanding purity. Fortunately, earlier baculovirus expression vector system has been reported as a proven functional GPCR mass-production tool. Therefore, in this study, we selected Bombyx mori allatostatin-C neuropeptide receptor BNGR-A1 as a GPCR reporter protein, which has been already proved successful binding of ligand. We confirmed its expression profile in various silkworm tissues and cell lines and then verified its plasma membrane subcellular localization in cultured silkworm BmN4 cells. In addition, we constructed recombinant baculoviruses for BNGR-A1, its ligand allatostatin-C (BmAST-C) and related eightG proteins (Gs, G12,Gα4, Gq, Gβ2,Gβ3, Gβ5 andGγ) and subsequentlymonitored the extracellular or intracellular expression of BNGR-A1 by co-infection with its ligand and cognate G proteins-expressing viruses. It is interesting to observe that different combinations of G proteins could result in changes or even undetectable of final yields of BNGR-A1, suggesting the essential roles of G proteins involved in the GPCR expression or stabilization. The present study demonstrated that co-infection of recombinant viruses expressing Gα4β3γ trimer enhanced the production of BNGR-A1 on BV fractions. To our knowledge, this is a fine strategy for identifying the specific G protein partner responsible for certain GPCR of interest. These studies would provide a novel idea for improving GPCR expression in the silkworm by baculovirus expression vector system.

A Numerical Method of the Ship Structures Analysis Based on Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin Method

Jianping Chen,Wen-yong Tang,Man-ping Xu 한국강구조학회 2015 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.15 No.4

The paper presents a numerical simulation method for ship structures based on meshless local Petrov-Galerkin method. The proposal method is a suitable for adaptive computation method while processing the displacement and stress fields of the ship structures in high-gradient regions. Above all, based on the theory of Mindlin-Reissner plate, the field approximation function of the displacement is obtained by employing Moving-least Square method, and then the governing equation and the stiffness matrix of the structures are established. Numerical demonstrations show the solutions of the presented method are good agreement between FEM-ANSYS and the proposed approach, which verifies the validity of the presented method for the ship structures analysis.

Study on flow fields of centrally fuel rich swirl burner and its applications

        Zhichao Chen,Zhengqi Li,Jianping Jing,Lizhe Chen,Shaohua Wu,Yang Yao 한국화학공학회 2009 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.26 No.5

Experiments on a single-phase test facility were done to optimize primary air outlet cones of a centrally fuel rich swirl coal combustion burner. On the basis of optimized results from the single-phase test, a three-component particle-dynamics anemometer was used to measure, in the near-burner region, the characteristics of gas/particle two-phase flows for the burner with two primary air outlet cones, on a gas/particle two-phase test facility. Velocities, RMS velocities and particle volume flux profiles were obtained. According to the results, the primary air outlet cone structure of the centrally fuel rich burner was matching a 670 ton per hour boiler. The performance of the burner on a 670 ton per hour boiler was studied.

[Ru(phen)2(dppz)]2+ Assemble on the Surface of the SDS Micelle and Its Application for the Determination of DNA

Chen, Fang,Huang, Jianping,He, Zhike Korean Chemical Society 2006 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.27 No.10

The solution of $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$ and SDS has high Resonance Light Scattering (RLS) signals due to $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$ assemble on the surface of the SDS micelle. Because of the high affinity ($KB\geq10^6\;L\;mol^{-1}$) between $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$ and DNA, the adding of DNA in the solution of $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$-SDS makes the dissociation of $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$-SDS, and results in decreasing of the RLS signals and increasing of the absorbance. Based on this, a novel method is proposed for DNA assay. Under optimum condition, good linear relationship was obtained within the concentration range of 0.018-1.26 $\mu g\;mL^{-1}$, the linear equation is $I_{RLS}$ = 504.8-348.8 c (c: $\mu g\;mL^{-1}$) and the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.9992. The detect limit for calf thymus DNA is 8.6 ng $mL^{-1}$. The proposed method was successful applied to determine the extracted colibacillus plasmid DNA.

The influence of the extent of lymph node metastasis on the prognosis for patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

        Jianping Wang*,Man Shu*,Hong Peng,Shaoqiang Li,Dongming Li,Jingxian Shen,Ming Kuang,Ying Zhang,Zebin Chen 대한외과학회 2023 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.104 No.5

Purpose: Reports showed that some of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) patients with lymph node metastasis (LNM) may also gain survival benefit undergone resection. However, the effect of the extent of LNM on prognosis and surgical indication is barely discussed. Methods: From September 1994 to November 2018, primary ICC patients undergone initial curable surgery were enrolled. Based on the extent of LNM, we divided these patients into 4 groups, including patients with no LNM (group N0), LNM to hepatoduodenal ligament or common hepatic artery (region A, group A), LNM to gastrohepatic lymph nodes for left liver ICC and periduodenal and peripancreatic lymph node for right liver ICC (region B, group B), or LNM beyond these regions (region C, group C). Multivariable Cox regression analysis was performed to identify the prognostic factors for recurrence- free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) in all groups. Results: A total of 133 patients were enrolled. There were 56, 21, 17, and 39 patients in groups N0, A, B, and C, respectively. There was significant difference between groups N0 and C in RFS (P < 0.001) and OS (P = 0.002). When we compared group N0 + A + B with group C, we also found that RFS (P < 0.001) and OS (P = 0.007) were significantly different. In multivariable analysis, the extent of LNM was an independent risk factor for RFS (P < 0.050). Conclusion: ICC patients with the LNM to regions A and B could still achieve good prognosis with resection. Surgery should be carefully considered when LNM to region C.

      • HOW CAN MORALITY-IRRELEVANT INSPIRATION LEAD TO MORALITY BEHAVIOR?

        Jianping Liang,Zengxiang Chen,Jing Lei 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2018 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2018 No.07

In this paper, we investigate whether and how morality irrelevant inspiration can influence consumer’s own morality behavior. Thrash & Elliot (2003) conceptualized inspiration as a psychological construct with three core characteristics: evocation, transcendence, and motivation. Morality behavior include prescriptive morality (e.g., prosocial behavior) and proscriptive morality (e.g., immoral behavior), which have different antecedents. We propose a common antecedent for both faces of morality and found that morality-irrelevant inspirational experiences (triggered by others or oneself) could decrease proscriptive morality and increase prescriptive morality, via emotional and cognitive transcendence. This is the first paper to explore the roles played by the emotional and cognitive transcendence resulted from the inspirational experiences and the consequences of transcendence on a source-irrelevant context.

Silencing MR-1 attenuates atherosclerosis in ApoE-/- mice induced by angiotensin II through FAK-Akt -mTOR-NF-kappaB signaling pathway

        Chen, Yixi,Cao, Jianping,Zhao, Qihui,Luo, Haiyong,Wang, Yiguang,Dai, Wenjian The Korean Society of Pharmacology 2018 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.22 No.2

Myofibrillogenesis regulator-1 (MR-1) is a novel protein involved in cellular proliferation, migration, inflammatory reaction and signal transduction. However, little information is available on the relationship between MR-1 expression and the progression of atherosclerosis. Here we report atheroprotective effects of silencing MR-1 in a model of Ang II-accelerated atherosclerosis, characterized by suppression focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and nuclear factor kappaB ($NF-{\kappa}B$) signaling pathway, and atherosclerotic lesion macrophage content. In this model, administration of the siRNA-MR-1 substantially attenuated Ang II-accelerated atherosclerosis with stabilization of atherosclerotic plaques and inhibited FAK, Akt, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) and NF-kB activation, which was associated with suppression of inflammatory factor and atherogenic gene expression in the artery. In vitro studies demonstrated similar changes in Ang II-treated vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and macrophages: siRNA-MR-1 inhibited the expression levels of proinflammatory factor. These studies uncover crucial proinflammatory mechanisms of Ang II and highlight actions of silencing MR-1 to inhibit Ang II signaling, which is atheroprotective.
