Enhancement of Impurity, Machinability and Mechanical Properties in Te-Treated 0Cr18Ni9 Steel

        Jian‑bo Xie,Tian Fan,Han Sun,Zhi‑qi Zeng,Jian‑xun Fu 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.6

To enhance the machinability and mechanical properties of 0Cr18Ni9 steel, free-machining element Te was introduced inthis work. By adding various quantities of Te to steel, several machining and tensile tests were carried out. Results show thatwith Te addition of 530 ppm, the number of inclusion sizes below 1 μm disappeared. With raising Te from 360 to 530 ppm, more MnTe–MnS inclusions of 10–40 μm were in spherical shape; above 50 μm2, the ratio of inclusion area at 530 ppmwas greatest among all, and the large-sized inclusions occupied a larger share. Te addition contributed to the surfaces ofmachining steels more smooth. The ultimate tensile strength of steel increased from 399 to 435 MPa. Te resulted in growthof sulfides and improved the machinability of steel.

Optimum design of lead-rubber bearing system with uncertainty parameters

Fan Jian,Long Xiaohong,Zhang Yanping 국제구조공학회 2015 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.56 No.6

In this study, a non-stationary random earthquake Clough-Penzien model is used to describe earthquake ground motion. Using stochastic direct integration in combination with an equivalent linear method, a solution is established to describe the non-stationary response of lead-rubber bearing (LRB) system to a stochastic earthquake. Two parameters are used to develop an optimization method for bearing design: the post-yielding stiffness and the normalized yield strength of the isolation bearing. Using the minimization of the maximum energy response level of the upper structure subjected to an earthquake as an objective function, and with the constraints that the bearing failure probability is no more than 5% and the second shape factor of the bearing is less than 5, a calculation method for the two optimal design parameters is presented. In this optimization process, the radial basis function (RBF) response surface was applied, instead of the implicit objective function and constraints, and a sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm was used to solve the optimization problems. By considering the uncertainties of the structural parameters and seismic ground motion input parameters for the optimization of the bearing design, convex set models (such as the interval model and ellipsoidal model) are used to describe the uncertainty parameters. Subsequently, the optimal bearing design parameters were expanded at their median values into first-order Taylor series expansions, and then, the Lagrange multipliers method was used to determine the upper and lower boundaries of the parameters. Moreover, using a calculation example, the impacts of site soil parameters, such as input peak ground acceleration, bearing diameter and rubber shore hardness on the optimization parameters, are investigated.

Fine mapping and candidate gene analysis of the dwarf gene d162(t) in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

        Fan-tao Zhang,Xiao-ling Gao,Ping-rong Wang,Chang-hui Sun,Bing Wang,Xiu-lan Li,Jian-qing Zhu,Xiao-jian Deng 한국유전학회 2011 Genes & Genomics Vol.33 No.1

In our previous study, d162(t), a single recessive gene, which caused rice dwarf mutant, had been mapped on the short arm of chromosome 3. In this study, the d162(t) gene was fine mapped to a confined region about 0.82 cM by RM14641 and RM3134, and co-segregated with InDel361-2, InDel361-3,InDel361-5, RM14645, RM1022 and RM14643, where no known gene involved in plant height has been identified. Based on the annotation results of TIGR, dozens of open reading frames (ORFs) were predicted in this region, among them, five ORFs were the most possible genes related to the phenotype. In these ORFs, Os03g13010, related to U-box domain containing protein, had a 62bp segment deletion in the coding region in 162d (mutant type, MT). The results of RT-PCR showed that the transcriptional level of Os03g13010was significantly different between Shuhui162 (wild type, WT)and 162d (MT). Therefore, the gene (Os03g13010) encoding a U-box domain containing protein was considered as the candidate gene of d162(t).

Risk and Regulation in Contemporary China s Financial Innovation: Shadow Bank and Regulatory Sandbox

        Jian Fan,Shuo Yang 원광대학교 법학연구소 2019 圓光法學 Vol.35 No.3

China s financial system has been envolving for thousands of years, providing foundation for the ruling of the feudal empire. The restoration and reconstruction of the contemporary Chinese financial system began in the Chinese Eleventh CPC Central Committee Third Plenary Session, 1978. In the four decades reaching 2018, the financial regulatory framework gradually came into shape, of which the four pillars include the People s Bank of China (hereinafter, PBOC), the China Securities Regulatory Commission (hereinafter, CSRC), the China Banking Regulatory Commission (hereinafter, CBRC) and the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (hereinafter, CIRC) (hereafter together referred to as “One Bank, Three Commissions”). This framework was further adjusted in March 2018 during the First Meeting of The Thirteenth National People s Congress of People s Republic of China. It is now composed of the Financial Stability and Development Committee (hereinafter, FSDC), the PBOC, the CSRC and China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (hereinafter, CBIRC) (hereafter referred to as “One Committee, One Bank, Two Commissions”), gradually developing into an integrated financial supervision network. One of the important factors that contributed to this change was the wild growth of “Chinese-style” shadow banking. The disadvantages of institutional financial regulation and the lack of basic financial legislations must share the blame. At present, a large number of financial innovation companies are striving in China, actively borrowing practical experiences from extraterritorial financial supervision legislations. They are the key in achieving the international competitiveness of financial innovation and the stability of domestic financial markets.

      • SYMPOSIUM 1 : Treatment Strategy in Alcoholic Hepatitis

        ( Jian Gao Fan ) 대한간학회 2013 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2013 No.1

Alcoholic liver disease is a major cause of morbidity among excessive alcohol drinkers, its spectrum of liver injury ranges from steatosis to varying stages of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, and hepatitis can occur at any stage of alcoholic liver disease. Alcoholic hepatitis is a clinical-pathological syndrome characterized by a wide spectrum of clinical severity that results from consumption of large amount of alcohol during a sustained period of time in a subset of alcoholics. Currently, the treatment of alcoholic hepatitis remains a much discussed and controversial area of clinical Hepatology. The cornerstone of therapy for alcoholic hepatitis is lifetime abstinence of alcohol, with referral to an alcoholic rehabilitation program. However, even patients who remain abstinent are at risk at an increased risk for developing cirrhosis. The mortality rate of hospitalized patients with alcoholic hepatitis varies between 0% and 100%. Therefore, it is important to identify patients who benefit most from aggressive interventional therapy. Generally, patients with mild to moderate disease severity usually need not be treated with extraordinary measures, severe patients with the score of Maddrey discriminant function between 32 and 54 are recommend to use a dose of prednisolone (40 mg/d for 4 weeks then tapered over a 2-4 week) or pentoxifylline, these aggressive therapeutic agents seem to provide moderate survival benefit in patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis. In addition, patients with alcoholic hepatitis should be assessed for nutritional deficiencies and routine screened for cirrhosis. Physicians should be conversant with assessment and management of malnutrition and infection. Finally, timely referral to a liver transplant program for those patients who do did not respond to prednisone and pentoxifylline after 1 to 4 weeks treatment.

Analysis of Geographic and Pairwise Distances among Chinese Cashmere Goat Populations

        Liu, Jian-Bin,Wang, Fan,Lang, Xia,Zha, Xi,Sun, Xiao-Ping,Yue, Yao-Jing,Feng, Rui-Lin,Yang, Bo-Hui,Guo, Jian Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2013 Animal Bioscience Vol.26 No.3

This study investigated the geographic and pairwise distances of nine Chinese local Cashmere goat populations through the analysis of 20 microsatellite DNA markers. Fluorescence PCR was used to identify the markers, which were selected based on their significance as identified by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG). In total, 206 alleles were detected; the average allele number was 10.30; the polymorphism information content of loci ranged from 0.5213 to 0.7582; the number of effective alleles ranged from 4.0484 to 4.6178; the observed heterozygosity was from 0.5023 to 0.5602 for the practical sample; the expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.5783 to 0.6464; and Allelic richness ranged from 4.7551 to 8.0693. These results indicated that Chinese Cashmere goat populations exhibited rich genetic diversity. Further, the Wright's F-statistics of subpopulation within total (FST) was 0.1184; the genetic differentiation coefficient (GST) was 0.0940; and the average gene flow (Nm) was 2.0415. All pairwise FST values among the populations were highly significant (p<0.01 or p<0.001), suggesting that the populations studied should all be considered to be separate breeds. Finally, the clustering analysis divided the Chinese Cashmere goat populations into at least four clusters, with the Hexi and Yashan goat populations alone in one cluster. These results have provided useful, practical, and important information for the future of Chinese Cashmere goat breeding.

      • New Model of In-situ Xenograft Lymphangiogenesis by a Human Colonic Adenocarcinoma Cell Line in Nude Mice

        Sun, Jian-Jun,Jing, Wei,Ni, Yan-Yan,Yuan, Xiao-Jian,Zhou, Hai-Hua,Fan, Yue-Zu Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.6

Objective: To explore a new model of in-situ xenograft lymphangiogenesis of human colonic adenocarcinomas in nude mice. Method: On the basis of establishing subcutaneous xenograft lymphangiogenesis model of human colonic adenocarcinoms, in-situ xenografts were established through the in situ growth of the HT-29 human colonic adenocarcinoma cell line in nude mice. The numbers of lymphangiogenic microvessels, the expression of lymphatic endothelial cell markers lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaloronic acid receptor-1 (LYVE-1), D2-40 and the lymphatic endothelial growth factors vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C), -D (VEGF-D) and receptor-3 (VEGFR-3) were compared by immunohistochemical staining, Western bolt and quantitative RT-PCR in xenograft in-situ models. Results: Some microlymphatics with thin walls, large and irregular or collapsed cavities and increased LMVD, with strong positive of LYVE-1, D2-40 in immunohistochemistry, were observed, identical with the morphological characteristics of lymphatic vessels and capillaries. Expression of LYVE-1 and D2-40 proteins and mRNAs were significantly higher in xenograpfts in-situ than in the negative control group(both P<0.01). Moreover, the expression of VEGF-C, VEGF-D and VEGFR-3 proteins and mRNAs were significantly higher in xenografts in-situ (both P<0.01), in conformity with the signal regulation of the VEGF-C,-D/VEGFR-3 axis of tumor lymphangiogenesis. Conclusions: In-situ xenografts of a human colonic adenocarcinoma cell line demonstrate tumor lymphangiogenesis. This novel in-situ animal model should be useful for further studying mechanisms of lymph node metastasis, drug intervention and anti-metastasis therapy in colorectal cancer.
