홍화씨 열수 추출 분말을 이용한 우리 밀 라면의 제조

        심지연,황은희,이일환,장혜순 동아시아식생활학회 2005 동아시아식생활학회지 Vol.15 No.1

The purpose of this study was to make ramyon from Korean cultured wheat by adding with hot water extract powder from safflower seed in order to add the value of it. The cooking quality, instrumental texture and sensory characteristics of ramyon were analyzed. The ramyons with 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 0.7% of hot water extract powder(HEP) from safflower seed, control, and those with 3% and 5% of dried powder(DP) from safflower seed were compared. The yield of HEP was 7.8%. Lightness, redness, Max. weight, strength, hardness, adhesiveness, cohesiveness and springiness were measured. As the amounts of HEP and DP was increasing, ramyons smelled stronger and was getting harder and chewier, while became less transparent and had no difference in elasticity and adhesiveness. In overall acceptability, both control and ramyon with HEP had similar points. From three important factors, appearance, color and smell to make ramyon more acceptable, addition of 0.3~0.5% of hot water extract powder from safflower seed was found to be the best. However, further studies on smells are needed to make processed foodstuffs with safflower seed.

A numerical model is presented for the prediction of wave height distribution in a harbor due to the linear wave theory. The method is based upon the solution of a time-dependent analysis including wave refraction, diffraction, and arbitrary reflection coefficient by the finite difference approach. The present numerical model has been validated in several stages. The result obtained from wave shoaling effect has been compared with hydraulic experimental result presented by Ito and Tanimoto. The portion of the diffracted wave heights in a harbor has also been compared with the experimental works proposed by Nisimura et. al.. Good agreement was obtained between the present model and previously obtained results. Therefore it is concluded that the model can be applied to predict the wave height distribution in a harbor with varying depth and arbitrary reflection coefficients. Finally, a numerical example of this application for the Hwa-Sun harbor is shown.

Objectives : Cinnamomi Ramulus (CR), the young twing of Cinnamomi loureirii nees, has been used for treating symptoms related to pain. rheumatic arthritis and inflammation in Korean herb medicine. This study was carried out to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of CR in vivo and in vitro. Methods : Extracts of CR were prepared and the chemical components of the extracts were examined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The extracts were administrated to the rat paw edema model induced by carrageenan to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of CR. The expressions of nitric oxide (NO). prostaglandin E2(PGE2), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 were also quantified in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages to survey the effect of CR in vitro. The main components were cinnamaldechyde and coumarin. Results : We examined the anti-inflammatory activity of the 80% ethanol extract of Cinnamomi Ramulus in vivo by using carrageenan-induced rat paw edema model. Maximum inhibition of 54.9% was noted at the dose of 1000㎎/㎏ after 2 hours of drug administration in carrageenan-induced rat paw edema and this showed a potent anti-inflammatory effect. Conclusions : The results showed that Cinnamomi Ramulus suppressed dose-dependently LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 macrophages and also decreased iNOS protein expression. Cinnamomi Ramulus also showed a significant inhibitory effect in LPS-induced PGE2 production and COX-2 expression.

The development of robotic welding process is a very complex assignment because the system is affected by a number of process parameters which are very difficult to determine or predict in practice. The full automation welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, Productivity, micro structure and weld properties in arc welding processed have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on specific experimental result. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an neural network model to predict the back-bead width as a function of key process parameters in the GMA (Gas Metal Arc) welding and to compare the developed models with the experimental results

( Ji Young Jun ),( Seung Hwan Oh ),( Joon Ho Shim ),( Jun Hwan Kim ),( Ji Hye Park ),( Jong Hee Lee ),( Dong Youn Lee ),( Joo Heung Lee ),( Jun Mo Yang ) 대한피부과학회 2015 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.67 No.2

Background: Ingrown nail is a common nail disorder frequently resulting pain and disabilities in daily life. It is often difficult to manage despite the multitude oftreatment modalities. K-D wire三 is a recently developed device with shape-memory alloy for treatment of ingrown nail. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the recurrence rate of K-D wire三 and to determine what factors influence the outcome of the device. Methods: Between June 2010 and July 2015, 86 nails of 62 patients underwent K-D wire insertion in departmentof dermatology of Samsung Medical Center, Seoul. Removal of device and follow up was done for 56 nails. Mean age of affected patients, average stage of ingrown nails, application period of K-D wire, history ofonychomycosis, presence of subungual hyperkeratosis, nail plate width, curvature, center-to-edge angle, and type of ingrown nail was assessed for all nails and compared them between recur group and non-recur group. Results: Recurrence rate was 21.4%. Application period was signifiacant lower in recur group. Other factors were not significantly different from recur to non-recur group. Conclusion: Low recurrence rate was associated with at least 4 weeks of application of K-D wire. Other factors were not associated with recurrence. Since spontaneous dislocation is frequent in K-D wire insertion, developing strategies to reduce early dislocation is important for better efficacy of the device.

      • D-dimer level in chronic urticaria patients

( Ji Young Jun ),( Seung Hwan Oh ),( Joon Ho Shim ),( Jun Hwan Kim ),( Ji Hye Park ),( Jong Hee Lee ),( Dong Youn Lee ),( Joo Heung Lee ),( Jun Mo Yang ) 대한피부과학회 2015 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.67 No.2

Background: Chronic urticaria is a common disorder affecting 1% of population. The pathophysiology of chronic urticaria is not clearly known but the role of extrinsic coagulation pathway is thought to be suggestiverecently. D-dimer is a degradation product by fibrinolysis and activation of coagulation pathway elevates D-dimer. There are controversial studies suggesting role of D-dimer in urticaria patients. Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare D-dimer level in chronic urticaria and acute urticaria patients and evaluate association between D-dimer level and response to antihistamine in chronic urticaria and the change in response to antihistamine after normalization of D-dimer by tranexamic acid. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients who were diagnosed as urticaria and checked D-dimer level in department of dermatology, Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, from 2010 to 2014. Results: 716 chronic urticaria patients and 36 acute urticaria pateints were included and average D-dimer level was 0.45 and 1.49 respectively. Propertion of D-dimer elevated patient was 21.1% and 41.7% respectively. D-dimer level was significantly high in antihistamine poor responders than good to partial responders, but theproportion of D-dimer elevated patient was notsignificant. After D-dimer normalization with tranexamic acid, 42.4% of antihistamine poor responders showed better response. Conclusion: D-dimer may be a biomarker for anti- histamine resistant chronic urticaria.

Inductions of Caspase-, MAPK- and ROS-dependent Apoptosis and Chemotherapeutic Effects Caused by an Ethanol Extract of Scutellaria barbata D. Don in Human Gastric Adenocarcinoma Cells

Shim, Ji Hwan,Gim, Huijin,Lee, Soojin,Kim, Byung Joo KOREAN PHARMACOPUNCTURE INSTITUTE 2016 Journal of pharmacopuncture Vol.19 No.2

Objectives: The crude extracts of Scutellaria barbata D. Don (SB) have traditionally demonstrated inhibitory effects on numerous human cancers both in vitro and in vivo. Gastric cancer is one of the most common types of cancer on world. The authors investigated the effects of an ethanol extract of Scutellaria barbata D. Don (ESB) on the growth and survival of MKN-45 cells (a human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line). Methods: The MKN-45 cells were treated with different concentrations of ESB, and cell death was examined using an MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. Analyses of sub-G1 peaks, caspase-3 and -9 activities, and mitochondrial membrane depolarizations were conducted to determine the anti-cancer effects of SB on MKN-45 cells. Also, intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation was investigated. Results: ESB inhibited the growth of MKN-45 cells, caused cell cycle arrest, and increased the sub-G1 population. In addition, ESB markedly increased mitochondrial membrane depolarization and the activities of caspase-3 and -9. ESB exerted anti-proliferative effects on MKN-45 cells by modulating the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway and by increasing the generation of ROS. Furthermore, combinations of anti-cancer drugs plus ESB suppressed cell growth more than treatments with an agent or ESB, and this was especially true for cisplatin, etoposide, and doxorubicin. Conclusion: ESB has a dose-dependent cytotoxic effect on MKN-45 cells and this is closely associated with the induction of apoptosis. ESB-induced apoptosis is mediated by mitochondria-, caspase- and MAPK dependent pathways. In addition, ESB enhances ROS generation and increases the chemosensitivity of MKN-45 cells. These results suggest that treatment with ESB can inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of human gastric adenocarcinoma cells by modulating the caspase-, MAPK- and ROS-dependent pathway.

Yoon, Ji Hwan,Lee, In Kyu,Choi, Hye Yoon,Choi, Eun Ji,Yoon, Ju Ho,Shim, Sang Eun,Kim, Il Royal Society of Chemistry 2011 Green chemistry Vol.13 No.3

A green way of synthesizing double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts for the ring opening polymerization of propylene oxide has been developed by using environmentally friendly and nontoxic lactate esters as complexing agents (CAs). The total amount of CA consumed in the catalyst preparation procedure can also be greatly reduced by combining with co-complexing agents bearing polyether backbones. The DMC catalysts produce highly pure polymers in high activity, enough to avoid labor, energy, and time-consuming catalyst removal procedures.

Graphic Abstract

A green way of synthesizing double metal cyanide catalysts for the ring opening polymerization of propylene oxide has been developed by using environmentally friendly and nontoxic lactate esters as complexing agents, yielding highly pure polyether polyols.
