As the number of mobile users increases, devices utilizing steganography are rapidly transitioning from desktops to mobile devices. The mobile environment can easily generate unique cover images, and images can be taken in various resolutions. However, the existing steganalysis methods show high detection accuracy in a limited experimental environment where the resolution is fixed, and there is a problem in that the detection rate drops sharply at a test resolution different from the resolution used for training. We propose a multi-resolution learning method to solve the problem of steganalysis performance degradation at multi-resolution. The multi-resolution learning method uses images of various resolutions as training data to learn a steganalysis model. The staganalysis model using the multi-resolution learning method showed excellent performance at various resolutions as well as resolutions not used for training, compared to the existing model with the fixed resolution, and achieved an average detection rate of 96.05%.

Entertainment lighting control network standardization to support VLC services
Sang-Kyu Lim,Ruling, Karl,Insu Kim,Il Soon Jang IEEE 2013 IEEE communications magazine Vol.51 No.12

VLC technology is receiving increasing attention in research and product development these days because high lumen/watt LEDs are becoming the dominant sources for artificial lighting. Successful VLC data transmission from luminaires requires that the data first be moved to the luminaires over a backbone network. This article addresses the lighting control network as a backbone for VLC services and describes a standards-drafting project, designated BSR E1.45, for entertainment lighting control to support the transmission of data for VLC from luminaires. E1.45 specifies a data frame format that can coexist with ANSI E1.11 messages on lighting control network, and thus deliver VLC data to luminaires for transmission from those luminaires.

Time-Domain Dynamic Simulation of a Wind Turbine Including Yaw Motion for Power Prediction
Kim, Kwansu,Lim, Changhee,Oh, Yong-Oon,Kwon, Ilhan,Yoo, Neungsoo,Paek, Insu Korean Society for Precision Engineering 2014 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.15 No.10
A new wind turbine simulation tool for a time-domain dynamic simulation was developed in this study. The tool consists of models of aerodynamics, drive train, generator, actuators, and controllers for pitch and yaw controls. For the wind turbine model, the NREL 5MW reference wind turbine was used. Using measured data, the developed tool was applied to predict annual energy production from the wind turbine at four different sites in a complex terrain of Korea. The results were compared with those predicted by a commercial frequency-domain program widely used to predict the annual energy production from a wind turbine. Without a yaw control, the predictions from the proposed tool were close to those from the commercial wind farm design program. Also, from simulations with and without yaw controls, the differences in power predictions were quantified. The results of this study suggest that the power production from a wind turbine can be predicted by the proposed time-domain wind turbine simulation tool with a proper yaw algorithm which is not available in commercial frequency-domain programs. Further research is needed to experimentally validate the simulation results with yaw algorithm.

( Byeong Cheol Kim ),( Insu Lim ),( Se Young Jeon ),( Minseo Kang ),( Jungmin Ha ) 한국육종학회 2021 Plant Breeding and Biotechnology Vol.9 No.4
Mungbeans (Vigna radiata L.) are one of major legume crops in Asia as major sources of proteins and carbohydrates. Additionally, they provide functional substances such as vitamin and antioxidant compounds when consumed as bean sprouts. In this study, physical traits of mungbean sprouts, such as sprouts yield, thickness and length of hypocotyl, length of epicotyl, number of lateral roots, and length of root depending on four irrigation conditions (irrigation interval: 2 and 4 hours; irrigation time: 2 and 4 minutes) were measured for three cultivars (Dahyeon, Samgang, Sunhwa). In general, the length and thickness of hypocotyl increased gradually until day 3, followed by a decrease on day 4. Lateral roots and the length of root increased during the cultivation period. Sprouts yield was higher under short irrigation time than long irrigation time until day 3. Preferable traits including sprouts yield, the length of hypocotyl, and the thickness of hypocotyl were better under shorter irrigation time conditions (2 minutes). Traits of negative effect for consumers’ preference, such as number of lateral roots and length of epicotyl, were lower under longer irrigation interval conditions (4 hours). Samgang had the highest yield of sprouts. However, it also had the highest growth of epicotyl. Although Sunhwa had preferable physical traits of bean sprouts, it had the least yield of sprouts. Overall, Dahyeon cultivated under 4 hours (irrigation interval) & 2 minutes (irrigation time) condition had the most preferable traits for producing mungbean sprouts. This study provides information about irrigation conditions affecting quality-related traits to produce mungbean sprouts.
