As the damage caused by GPS jamming has been increased, researches for detecting and preventing GPS jamming is being actively studied. This paper deals with a GPS jamming detection method using multiple GPS receiving channels and three-types machine learning techniques. Proposed multiple GPS channels consist of commercial GPS receiver with no anti-jamming function, receiver with just anti-noise jamming function and receiver with anti-noise and anti-spoofing jamming function. This system enables user to identify the characteristics of the jamming signals by comparing the coordinates received at each receiver. In this paper, The five types of jamming signals with different signal characteristics were entered to the system and three kinds of machine learning methods(AB: Adaptive Boosting, SVM: Support Vector Machine, DT: Decision Tree) were applied to perform jamming detection test. The results showed that the DT technique has the best performance with a detection rate of 96.9% when the single machine learning technique was applied. And it is confirmed that DT technique is more effective for GPS jamming detection than the binary classifier techniques because it has low ambiguity and simple hardware. It was also confirmed that SVM could be used only if additional solutions to ambiguity problem are applied.
Behavior tree driven multi-mobile robots via data distribution service (DDS)

We propose multi-task programming for multi-robots via a behavior tree (BT) as a mean to reduce programming complexity of multi-mobile robots. For multi-mobile concurrent control, robot sensors or actuators data are shared via data distribution service (DDS). In addition to the advantages of DDS, the BT is deployed to control and monitor multi-mobile robots, The BTs are inherently modularized and reactive to the environments, which enables a flexible utilization of multi-mobile robots. With the help of Robot Operating System (ROS2), The BTs are implemented with ROS2 nodes on the DDS that can be executed in both servers and clients for the task allocation. A simple experiment with 50kg, 100kg payload mobile robots built by Hyundai Robotics shows reliable performance with distributed BTs via DDS between servers and robots.

<P>An Arabidopsis 관-glucosidase, AtBG1 is known to hydrolyze glucose-conjugated, biologically inactive abscisic acid (ABA) to produce active ABA, which increases the level of ABA in plants. Since an increase of ABA in plants confers tolerance against abiotic stress such as drought, we introduced the pCAMBIA3301 vector harboring the AtBG1 gene into creeping bentgrass through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. After transformation, putative transgenic plants were selected using the BASTA resistance assay at a concentration of 0.8%. Genomic integration of the AtBG1 gene was confirmed by genomic PCR and Southern blot analysis, and gene expression was validated by Northern blot and Western blot analyses. Interestingly, the transgenic bentgrass plants overexpressing AtBG1 had a dwarf phenotype with reduced growth rates when compared to wild-type creeping bentgrass. In addition, the transgenic plants accumulated higher ABA levels and displayed enhanced drought tolerance. These results suggest that the expression of AtBG1 in plants induces the accumulation of higher ABA levels, which results in the formation of dwarf creeping bentgrass and enhances the survival in water-limiting environments.</P>

<P>The leaf extract of guava (Psidium cattleianum Sabine) has traditionally been used for the treatment of diarrhea and diabetes in East Asia and other countries. Recently, the leaf extract has been employed in the therapy of cancer, bacterial infections, and inflammation in experimental models. However, the exact mechanisms of how guava leaf extract inhibits tumor metastasis and invasion are still unknown. In the present study, we investigated in detail the molecular mechanism(s) responsible for the potential antimetastatic and antiinvasive effects of the butanol fraction of guava leaf extract (GBF). Interestingly, we observed for the first time that GBF suppressed both matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)-9 and MMP-2 expression and activity in part through the downregulation of the ERK1/2 activation in lung cancer cells. Also, importantly, the major components of the GBF were identified as d-glucuronic acid, quercetin 3-glucuronide, loganin, and xanthyletin by LC-ESI-MS/MS. Collectively, our data indicate that the guava leaf could reduce the metastasis of lung cancer cells and therefore suggest that it could be advantageously used to control the metastatic process.</P>

The recent fatigue failure on gas turbine blades caused by thermal fatigue is major issue when the gas turbines start-up and shut down frequently to keep balancing the grid as the power generation using renewable energy increases. The present study concentrates on evaluating the thermal fatigue life of blade simulating start-up and shut down of actual gas turbine operation. The experimental model of this study is actual 1st stage blades of industrial gas turbine, which are manufactured including internal cooling passages and film cooling and tip holes. The material of blades is IN738LC. A cooling air into turbine blade is provided from compressor during test to mimic the actual gas turbine operation. The thermocouples are installed at inlet and outlet of test section, and they are also attached on blade surface to measure temperature on blade surface. The heat load and total number of cycles for thermal fatigue test are calculated using lumped capacity method considering internal cooling passages of blade and Coffin-Manson equation about low cycle fatigue test result of the IN738LC. The heat load cycle and temperature measured from installed thermocouples show that present test facility for thermal fatigue of gas turbine blades are reliable.

Construction of Small Binary Vectors for Agrobacterium Mediated Transformation in Plants
Lim, Jeong Hwa,Kang, Young Na,Kim, Young A,Kim, Dae Heon,Hwang, Inhwan 한국식물학회 1999 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.42 No.4
Despite the popular use of the Agrobacterium-mediated method for transforming plants, only a very limited number of binary vectors are available. In addition, those binary vectors are rather inconvenient for plasmid manipulation because of their large size. Here, we report the construction of small binary vectors, pBmin1 and pBminGFP1, for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The sizes of pBmin1 and pBminGFP1 are approximately 5.0kb and 6.5kb, respectively. These vectors contain one kanamycin resistance gene, with a double promoter for expression in both bacteria and plant cells. Vector pBminGFP1 has the 35S-GFP chimeric gene as a reporter. These small binary vectors would greatly facilitate plasmid manipulation and plant transformation.
