Purpose: This study was performed to find out the effects of the Er:YAG laser (Key Laser) & Er,Cr:YSGG laser (Water Laser) on inflammatory tissues. Materials and Methods: It was performed on about 20 g, 6 weeks male ICR mouses. They were grouped into the control (negative), the inflammation induced 'control'(positive), Er,Cr:YSGG laser exposured group after inducing inflammation, Er:YAG lasere exposured group after inducing inflammation each 15 mouses. The mouses were applicated 0.5% DNFB 1 cc on ear skin twice a day for 4 days until symptom expression. After laser exposure, ear tissues were extracted and defined gene expression by RT-PCR. Then, tissue staining, lymphocytes observation, electromicroscophic laboratory were carried out. Results: Interleukin-$1{\beta}$ was expressed much less in the A-laser exposed group. Interleukin-$1{\beta}$ & Tumor Necrosis Factor-${\alpha}$ were expressed 7 times lesser in the A-laser exposed group. The number of Lymphocytes related to inflammation was decreased rapidly in the A-laser exposed group in vivo. he number of cavity recovered normal was a little bigger in the A-laser exposed group after 5 days Conclusion: The expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ & TNF-${\alpha}$, hitologic change, observation with electron microscope shows that Erbium laser exposure causes lesser inflammation with A-laser rather than B-laser.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P><B>Objective</B></P><P>To investigate the efficacy of human adipose tissue–derived mesenchymal stem cell (AD‐MSC) transplantation in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and to determine the optimal transplantation window for stem cells either before or after disease onset.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>(NZB × NZW)F<SUB>1</SUB> mice with SLE were administered human AD‐MSCs (5 × 10<SUP>5</SUP>) intravenously every 2 weeks from age 6 weeks until age 60 weeks, while the control group received saline vehicle on the same schedule. Another experiment was carried out with a different initiation time point for serial transplantation (age 6 weeks or age 32 weeks).</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>Long‐term serial administration (total of 28 times) of human AD‐MSCs ameliorated SLE without any adverse effects. Compared with the control group, the human AD‐MSC–treated group had a significantly higher survival rate with improvement of histologic and serologic abnormalities and immunologic function, and also had a decreased incidence of proteinuria. Anti–double‐stranded DNA antibodies and blood urea nitrogen levels decreased significantly with transplantation of human AD‐MSCs, and serum levels of granulocyte–macrophage colony‐stimulating factor, interleukin‐4 (IL‐4), and IL‐10 increased significantly. A significant increase in the proportion of CD4+FoxP3+ cells and a marked restoration of capacity for cytokine production were observed in spleens from the human AD‐MSC–treated group. In the second experiment, an early stage treatment group showed better results (higher survival rates and lower incidence of proteinuria) than an advanced stage treatment group.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Serial human AD‐MSC transplantation had beneficial effects in the treatment of SLE, without adverse effects. Transplantation of human AD‐MSCs before disease onset was preferable for amelioration of SLE and restoration of immune homeostasis.</P>

In this study we found out the main objectives to go ahead with a quality innovation program, and followed up a motivator factors by using multivariate statistical analysis. Recently, TPS is one of the hot issues which enterprises and manufacturing related people were greatly concerned. TPS is very representative of Japanese production system. And TPS have contributed to the advance of industrial engineering. This study highlights the limitation and unsolved problems of presented TPS, through understanding the basic principles and characteristics and application process of TPS. To be continuously developing and competitive system in the future, we suggest New JIT System to complement current TPS system. New JIT is a customer oriented system. For the customer satisfied quality management, it is renovate business process in production, development and sales area. It has hardware and software system. Hardware system is consists of TMS, TDS, TPS, and software system is scientific SQC utilized TQM. For the advanced next generation manufacturing management system, we should develop New JIT system.

Cystic hygroma is the benign proliferation of lymphatic tissue and has been categorized as a part of a larger spectrum that includes lymphangiomas recently. The majority of lymphangiomas occur in the head and neck as cystic hygromas with the posterior cervical region as the most common site. Cystic hygromas present in infancy or early childhood as compressible masses that may rapidly and intermittently enlarge. Cystic hygromas of the head and neck are especially difficult to manage since enlargement cause serious sequela such as airway obstruction, feeding difficulties, and speech pathology. Surgical exision remains the treatment of choice. But complete extirpation of these lesions is often impossible, and recurrence rates are accordingly different respectively ; these are high in suprahyoid lesions compared with infrahyoid involvement. This is a case report about 22 year old male patient with cystic hygrom. We obtained the successful, functional and esthetic results by surgical excision of the mass. Therefore, we report the case with literatural reviews.

This is a clinical and retrospective study who sustained a total of 306 maxillofacial bone fracture and who were treated in our department between 1990-1994. This results were obtained as follows : 1. The ratio of men to women was 3.2 : 1. 2. The age frequency was the highest in the third decade(35%). That of man was the highest in the third decade but that of women in the fourth decade. 3. In respect of incidence, the number of patients has not been increased year after year. There were the highest frequency in September and the lowest frequency in January. 4. The most frequent cause of facial bone fracture was fall down(40.2%), traffic accident(28.1%), fist blow(20.9%), industrial accident(6.2%) and others in order. 5. The most common location of facial bone fracture was mandible(69%), maxillar with zygoma and zygoma in order of frequency. 6. The age frequency of mandible was the third decade(36.5%), the fourth decade(23.2%) and the fourth decade(22.2%) and the fifth decade(15.6%) in order. 7. In respect of incidence of associated injuries, the ratio of absence to presence was 0.7 : 1. 8. In 306 patients of facial bone fracture, the frequency of associated injuries was laceration, extrimities, chest in order.

The purpose of this study is to propose the effective guidance of Quality Small Group(or Quality Control Circles) activities. The Quality Small Group activities started in Japan during the 1960s. In the study, we have paid much attention to propose the guidances of the problems found during the initial stages and the appreciation of the achievements of Quality Small Group activities until now. We surveyed the previous proceedings of the company-wide, local and domestic contests of Quality Small Group activities, present some of them as evidences of our arguments, and try to establish principles of activation of that. We also suggest principles residing in the activities and propose the desirable direction of Quality Small Group movement in Korea. From the results of our analysis, we recognized that there are gaps between some subjective appraisers and team members. These should then be elaborated and grounded in the detailed and accessible directions.

본 연구는 영양성과 약리성을 갖춘 품질이 우수한 동치미의 제조방법을 개발하고자 각종 약리성분을 함유하고 있는 인삼과 솔잎을 첨가하여 숙성 중에 유기산, 당류, 단백질 및 유리 아미노산 등의 변화를 조사하였다. 환원당 함량의 변화는 숙성 1일에 178.9~194.9㎎/100㎖이었으나, 발효 8일에서는 솔잎첨가구는 274.9㎎/100㎖로 증가하여 이후에도 계속 증가하였고, 모든 처리구에서는 발효 15일부터 증가현상을 보였으며, 솔잎첨가구 가 다른 구들보다 환원당 함량이 높았다. 가용성 단백질은 숙성 1일에 3.5~7.5㎎/100㎖이었으며, 숙성됨에 따라 무처리구와 인삼처리구에서는 숙성 29일에 뚜렷이 증가하였으나 솔잎 첨가구는 발효 22일에 60.7㎎/100㎖로 증가한 후 변화가 없었다. 총유기산의 함량은 숙성초기에는 모든 처리구에서 2.79~4.80㎎/100㎖로 낮았으나 숙성말기에는 95.16~109.97㎎/100㎖에 이르렀고 젖산이 85%이상 차지하였다. 유리당은 sucrose, glucose, fructose 3종이었고, sucrose에 비해 glucose와 fructose의 함량이 비교적 높았으며, 모든 처리구에서 유리당 함량은 705.2~943.7㎎/100㎖이었다. 총아미노산은 % 이었고 lysine, histidin, 그리고 tryptophan 3종을 제외한 17종이 동정되었으며, threonine, valine, aspartic aicd, serine, asparagine, glutamic acid, alanine 및 arginine 등의 함량이 많았다. 아미노산 유도체는 53~71%이었고, aminoisobutyric acid, sarcosine, ornithine 등 13종이 동정되었고 특히 γ-aminoisobutyric acid의 함량이 많았으나 숙성 중에 감소한 반면 α-aminoisobutyric acid는 숙성 중에 감소하였다. This paper was studied the effects of ginseng and pine needle on the changes of components in Dongchimi which added ginseng 0.1% and pine needle 0.3% at manufacture, and fermented at room temperature for first days and at 4℃ from 2nd day to 28 day. The contents of reducing sugar increased remarkably in 22 days, those of the Dongchimi added pine needle was highest than those of others. The contents of proteins increased remarkably in the Dongchimi added pine needle in 22 days of fermentation, but increased in others at 29 days of fermentation. The contents of non-volatile organic acids were 2.79~4.80㎎/100㎖ at the late of fermentation, and the content of lactic acid was most than others. Free sugars were composited sucrose, glucose and fructose, and the contents of those were in the range of 227.4~247.0㎎/100㎖ at 8 days of fermentation, then increased 705.2~943.7㎎/100㎖ at 29 days of fermentation. It was identified 17 kinds of free amino acids except lysine, histidine and tryptophan. The contents of free amino acids and amino acid derivatives were 34~47 and 56~71% of total amino acid. The contents of essential amino acid in Dongchimi added ginseng and pine needle were much than control. Especially contents of threonine, valine and isoleucine were much than others, and in the amino acid dervatives, sarcosine, β-aminoisobutyric acid and γ-aminoisobutyric acid were much than others.

The purpose of this study is to certify the factors to be pursued in order to increase the productivity of the korean manufacturing industries. From the preceding literature's study of JIT(Just-in-Time) production system's implementation, major survey items were extracted. Questionnaire survey through 152 manufacturers was carried out to analyze the degree of production goals realization after the JIT system's implementation. Also this paper focused on the proposition of the approach which to increase the productivity and competitive power in accordance with the characteristics of enterprises.
