        석영과 장석의 Zeta 전위에 있어서 금속이온의 영향

        石英과 長石의 活性化에 關한 資料를 얻기 爲해서 水溶液中 Mg^(++), Cu^(++), Zn^(++)과 Al^(+++)를 添加하여 鑛粒의 Zeta 電位를 測定하였다. 그리고 이들 鑛粒의 界面電氣現象과 金屬이온들의 加水分解特性을 서로 關聯시켜 比較 檢討하여 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 1. 水溶液中에 金屬이온이 存在할 때 長石의 界面電氣現象은 石英과 같다. 2. 金屬이온種의 吸着으로 因해 石英과 長石의 界面은 陽(+)으로 荷電된다. 그리고 陽으로 荷電되는 pH 範圍는 金屬이온의 種類에 따라 다르다. 3. 水溶液中에 金屬이온들이 存在하면 鑛粒의 zpc(Zero point of charge)는 두 곳의 pH에서 나타난다. 두개의 zpc 중 하나의 zpc가 나타나는 pH는 M^(II)OH^+, M^(III)(OH)^+_2 및 M^(III)(OH)^(++) 이온種의 最高濃度가 나타나는 pH와 거의 一致한다. 마그네슘 이온의 경우에는 pH 10.1에서 단하나의 zpc가 나타난다. 4. Mg(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) 및 Al(III) 이온들의 加水分解特性과 zeta 電位를 關聯시켜 볼 때 Mg^(++), Cu^(++), Zn^(++) 및 Al^(+++)은 鑛粒表面에 對해 吸着力이 弱하고, 한편 M^(II)(OH)^+, M^(III)(OH)^+_2 및 M^(III)(OH)^(++) 이온種은 吸着力이 强함을 알 수 있다. To obtain a better understanding of quartz and orthoclase activation, zeta potentials of the minerals were studied in the presence of metallic ions such as Mg^(++), Cu^(++), Zn^(++) and Al^(+++). A microelectrophoresis technique has been used to measure the zeta potential, and the results have been correlated with the hydrolysis of the metallic ions in the solution. The experimental results have led to the following conclusions. 1. Zeta potentials of orthoclase in the presence of the metallic ions show a similar behavior to those of quartz. 2. Adsorption of the metallic ions renders the zeta potential of quartz and orthoclase positive. The pH range of positive zeta potential varies with the kind of cation. 3. Zero point of charge(ZPC) of the mineral surface in the presence of metallic ions appears at two different pH of solution. One of two pH of ZPC is consistent with the pH at which M^(II)(OH)^+ and M^(III)(OH)^+_2 or M^(III)(OH)^(++) species are predominant. 4. Comparison of the zeta potential data with the hydrolysis for Mg(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Al(III) species suggests that Mg^(++), Cu^(++), Zn^(++) and Al^(+++) are only weakly adsorbed at the mineral surface and that M^(II)(OH)^+ and M^(III)(OH)^+_2 or M^(III)(OH)^(++) are the main metallic ionic species adsorbed.

        제주도 지하수 질산염 농도의 시·공간적 변화 특성: 장기(1993-2015) 모니터링 자료의 평가

        1993년부터 2015년까지 관측된 제주도 지하수 장기모니터링 관측정(N = 4,835)에서 수집된 지하수 수질자료(N = 21,568)를 기반으로 질산성질소의 시공간적 변동 특성을 평가하였다. 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 농도의 중앙값은 2.5 mg/L로서 다른 국가나 대륙의 조사 결과에 비해 다소 높거나 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지하수 용도, 행정구역 및 고도 별로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 특히, 산간 지역에 비해 저지대 해안가에 위치한 농업 및 주거지역에서 농도가 높음을 확인하였다. Mann-Kendall 및 Sen’s slope 분석을 활용한 질산성질소 농도의 추세 분석 결과, 하류 저지 대에 비해 중산간지역에서의 질산성질소 농도 증가 경향이 뚜렷하였다. 제주도 내 토지 피복의 시계열 변화 특성과 결부 지어 보면, 중산간지역의 오염 증가 추세는 농업지역의 확장 등 인위적 활동 증가에 기인한 결과로 판단된다. 반면,기지정된 지하수자원특별관리구역에서는 전반적으로 질산성질소 농도의 감소 경향이 나타났는데, 이는 지하수 관리 측면에서 수질관리를 위한 적극적인 정책이 유효함을 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 오염관리를 위한 적정 방안을 제안한다. The spatio-temporal variations of nitrate concentrations in groundwater of Jeju Island were evaluated by an analysis of time series groundwater quality data (N = 21,568) that were collected from regional groundwater monitoring (number of wells = 4,835) for up to 20 years between 1993 and 2015. The median concentration of NO 3 -N is 2.5 mg/L, which is slightly higher than those reported from regional surveys in other countries. Nitrate concentrations of groundwater in wells tend to significantly vary according to different water usage (of the well), administrative districts, and topographic elevations: nitrate level is higher in low-lying agricultural and residential areas than those in high mountainous areas. The Mann-Kendall trend test and Sen’s slope analysis show that nitrate concentration in mid-mountainous areas tends to increase, possibly due to the expansion of agricultural areas toward highland. On the other hand, nitrate concentrations in the Specially Designated Groundwater Quality Protection Zones show the temporally decreasing trend, which implies the efficiency of groundwater management actions in Jeju. Proper measures for sustainable groundwater quality management are suggested in this study.

        <P>We studied hydrogen adsorption onto the oxidized nano-palladium surface using <SUP>1</SUP>H NMR. In the α phase, the incoming hydrogen molecules dissociate and form OH<SUB>ad</SUB>. We confirm that the <img SRC='http://ej.iop.org/images/0953-8984/18/13/001/cm210477ieqn1.gif' ALIGN='MIDDLE' ALT='\mathrm {OH_{ad}} \rightarrow \mathrm {H_2O}(\uparrow) '/> transformation occurs during the α–β phase transition by observing a decrease in OH<SUB>ad</SUB> resonance intensity.</P>

        ㅣ의 조음 특성에 관한 연구

        This study is experimental and in this study, the hypothesis written by Cho Oh-hyun (1998, 1999), which suggests the difference between the phonetic value of `ㅣ` in 15th century and at the present time, will be tested and examined. The method taken for experiment is that a sound value is assumed by analysing sounds, and the theoretical background and the method and the consequency of the experiment are described below: 1) The theoretical background ① Referring to the nature [+high] of `ㅣ` containing a wide variety of phonemic phenomenon and the explanation in 「Hun Min Jeong Yem - the Korean script」, the sound of `ㅣ` was possibly articulated in the area of the neutral position in the 15th century, however, at present it has been changed in to a unvoiced vowel and become the presently used [+high] sound of `ㅣ`. ② ① A wide variety of phonemic phenomenon, which did not exist in the 15th century, has been generated, for example, `ㄷ` palatalization and `ㄴ` a law of the initial sound of a syllable, a dental sound of `ㅈ`, `ㅊ`, `ㅉ` being changed to a palatal sound, a inherited overlapping vowel being changed to a single vowel and round vowelization. 2) a method for the experiment Seven male students from Seoul and seven male students from Kyeng-Ki provice, who are in the third year at Kon-kuk university, were selected and trained to be able to pronounce `ㅈ`, `ㅊ`, `ㅉ` both with a palatal sound and with a gum sound, and then `ㅣ` sound was abstracted and analyzed by the method suggested by P. Ladefoged in order to decide a range. The range already decided mentioned above were used to compare between the ranges of the presently used `ㅣ` and surrounding sounds of `ㅡ`, `ㅓ`, `ㅔ`. 3) the result of the experiment The experiment has proven that the phonetic value of `ㅣ` being articulated a sound which was higher than `ㅓ` position and in front of `ㅓ` position in the 15th century, is different from the sound of `ㅣ` presently used. As a result of the experiment, it is concluded that the sound of `ㅣ` was pronounced from near neutral position and the sound easily pronounced, which is explained in `Jung Seoung Hae in 「Hun Min Jeong Yem - the Korean script」is the same meaning of the neutral position.

Proceedings of International Symposium on East-West Medicine, Seoul. 244-254, 1999.-Obesity can be defined as a metabolic disease due to an increased state of fat tissues caused by an imbalance of calorie intake and use. Recently, in Korea by improvement and westernization of food intake, along with decrease in exercise activities, the prevalence of obesity has increased greatly. Our objectives were to study stability and effects of decrease in body fat by administering red ginseng compound preparation (known to have body fat decreasing effects in laboratory animals) to obesity patients on low calorie diets. Changes in weight and body fat were measured while carrying out calorie-restricted diets on patients for 4 weeks, then administering red ginseng compound preparation for another 4 weeks. The patients were 20 people whose BMI were 25kg/㎡ or over and whose percent body fat was also 30% or over when tested by bioelectrical conductivity. 1. Changes in weight were from 70.04kg(base line) to 67.43kg(after taking red ginseng compound preparation). 2. In similar sense, BMI decreased from 27.12kg/㎡(base line) to 26.56kg/㎡(after dieting), and further to 26.01kg/㎡ (after taking red ginseng compound preparation). The BMI seemed to decrease significantly compared to the baseline after the use of red ginseng compound. 3. Waist hip ratio was changed from 0.8858(base line) to 0.8728, but it was statistically insignificant. 4. The percent body fat was 35,16%(base line), 33.87%(after dieting), and 31.68%(after taking red ginseng compound preparation). 5. Complete blood cell count and blood chemisrty remained unaffected by the administration. 6. In concern to endocrinologic studies, T3 decreased from 118.7 to 98.2ng/dL, and T4 increased from 8.8 to 9.2㎕/ dL. Epinephrine showed a tendency to decreased from 0.27 to 0.25 ng/mL, and norepinephrine increased from 0.39 to 0.44ng/mL. 7. Leptin was not changed. 8. Some patients complained adverse effects; constipation(5 patients, may be due to diet therapy), fatigue (2 patients), pruritus(2 patients), flushing(s patients), dizziness(3 patients) and epigastric discomfort(2 patients). However their symptoms were mild, so medication did not stopped. In conclusion, loss of weight without significant side effects was observed during low calorie diet and red ginseng compound preparation administration. This is thought to be in relation to sympathetic nerve system rather than adrenal gland. Also, further long0term studies should be required, since the observed results were based on short-term changes in weight.

      • 일부 체육고등학교 학생의 자아개념 및 스트레스 요인과 대처방법에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was tried to find out the students stressful life events, their methods to cope with them, and their self-concept effecting on the coping method, to analize the relationship among these three variables, and to provide basic data which maintain and promote student's adaptability and mental health. The data were collected from total 216 students of a physical education high school in Gwansg-ju. The Questionnair survey was done from June 25 to July 5, 1991. The instruments were composed of; 1. A part of Choi's perceptual orientation scale for measuring Self-Perception of students. 2. Rosenberg's Questionnair for measuring student's evaluation of self-esteem. 3. Modified McCubbin's Adolescent-Family Inventory of Life Events and Changes and Adolescent Life Change Event Questionnaire by Oh and Han's Stressful Life Events. 4. Modified Patterson's Adolescent Coping Orientation for Problem Experience by Oh and Han's coping method. The survey questionnaire consisted of 30 questions related to self-concepts, 47 questions related to stressful life events, and 44 questions related to coping method. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, frequency, ANOVA, t-test, and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results were summarized as follows; 1. The mean score of self concept was 10.58. 2. The mean score of stressful life events was 6.31. 3. The mean score of coping methods was 120.28. 4. The relationship between general characteristics and self-concept represented significant differences in sex(t=3.27, P=0.00), academic score(F=4.81, P=0.00), leisure time(F=4.32, P=0.00), reading(F=3.52, P=0.01), going to college after graduation(F=7.04, P=0.00), and health condition(F=6.39, P=0.00). 5. The relationship between stressful life events and general characteristics represented significant differences in presence or absence of parents (F=3.49, P=0.00), academic score(F=4.29, P=0.00), and family atmosphere(F=-2.74, P=0.01). 6. The relationship between general characteristics and coping methods represented significant differences in religion(F=3.11, P=0.02), educational level of father(F=2.57, P=0.03), and leisure time(F=3.98, P=0.00). 7. The relationship between self-concept and coping methods(r=0.30, P=0.00), and stressful life events and coping methods(r=0.30, P=0.00) represented correlation statistically significant.

        Synthesis of MFI - Type Zeolites Under Atmospheric Pressure

        Silicalite and highly silicious ZSM-5 were synthesized using two reaction mixtures with different crystal growth environments, a dispersed low density mixture and a separated high density mixture, at 93 ±13℃ under the atmospheric pressure. Nucleation behavior and the transformation process of two mixtures were investigated utilizing various analytical techniques such as XRD, FT-IR, TGA, SEM, and pH measurement. During the induction period, the same intermediate phase was observed in both mixtures. The presence of this phase was found to be dependent on the degree of dilution of the reaction mixture. After the induction period, a sharp increase in both the degree of crystaliization and the pH of the reaction mixture was detected. This indicates that the pH change in the reaction mixture is closely related to the crystallization process. From these observations, a crystallization mechanism is proposed on the basis of the appearance of stable silicate species and the role of OH^- ions during the induction period. According to this mechanism, MFI-type zeolite grows by condensation reaction among the stable silicate species funned during the induction period.

        Hyun-jee Kang and Myungki Oh. 2018. A Study on Joke Misinterpretation in L2 Settings: Viewed from The Benign-Violation Theory. Studies in Modern Grammar 99, 161-176. This paper examines cases in which Korean college students might misinterpret superiority, incongruity, and sarcastic English jokes. In parallel the writer tries to bring to light possible background reasons for their misinterpretation from the perspective of the Benign-Violation Theory’ concepts of norm violation, commitment, and psychological distance. Arguably Korean college students are likely to misinterpret English humor codes influenced by their ingrained belief system of strict moral standard as well as insufficient exposure to particular genres of English jokes.

        백제 복성(複姓)의 출현과 그 정치적 배경

        Two?lettered family names only appear in the history of the Baekje Dynasty, and not in Goguryeo and Shilla. Baekje"s acceptance of family names seems to have been during the Hanseong period, and it is highly possibile that they came through the Nakrang and Daebang troops in 313. Accepting Chinese culture, the Baekje royal families used "Buyeo" family names. Such fact contains several meanings. First, it indicates the direct connection between the practice of using a family name and the embracement of Chinese culture. Second, it shows the Baekje people"s consciousness of a Bu"yeo heritage. Family name was first used by the Baekje royal family but the practice spreaded to the nobility class. Various one and two?lettered family names can be found in diplomatic letters, like the one?lettered names in the letter King Gae"ro?wang sent to China as shown in Nihon Shogi, as well as two?lettered family names recorded in Samguk Sagi. It should be noted that most of the family names in Baekje were two?lettered ones. The reason behind such fashion is unclear. The first letter might have been the result of taking the "King"s name" as family name, and the second letter might have been a regional name. Such phenomenon seemed to have had a relation with the situation in which Baekje"s national power was weakened or in disorder. Actually, since Baekje established a structure of coexistence between the central and the districts, since the end of the Hanseong period, the appearance of two?lettered family names increased. The political interests and privileges of the community led to a system of coexistence with the central line. The "King?Jwa"pyeong?Dal"sol" system, the system of mutual political balance sustained by triangular antipodes, was formed. However, in the late Sabi period this structure of coexistence was destroyed during the reigns of King Mu"wang and Eui"ja?wang. In that time, new families with one?lettered last names appeared, in conflicts within the Jwa"pyeong groups, in the Crown?prince investiture, foreign relationships with China, and during wartime. King Eui"ja?wang designed a new reform policy, in response to this emergence of new factions. He tried to reorganize the power structure and centralize the governing power. As a result, the Jwa"pyeong?Dal"sol system was seriously changed, and so was the structure of coexistence between the central and the districts. This directly contributed to the fall of Baekje.
