      • Development in Conservation Technology for Tenebrio molitor (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) Genetic Resource

        As demand for Tenebrio molitor increases in animal feed market, improvement of mass-rearing indoor system became more crucial. This study is aimed at establishing the technology for conserving genetic resource of Tenebrio molitor, and increasing the technology utilization. This year, in advance, this experiment was designed for examining the developmental characteristics of eggs and larvae. To research the developmental characteristics under different temperatures, eggs, larvae and papae were treated at 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5 and 30°C. At 25°C, larvae were exposed to various photoperiod conditions, LD 14:10, 12:12, and 10:14. The results show that the temperature range which affected hatching was 15~32.5°C. To achieve 70 percent or higher hatching rate 17.5~27.5°C was required. Furthermore, hatching occurred within 10 days, when the eggs were treated in 22.5~27.5°C. In regard of larval development, shorter developmental period, and higher pupation and eclosion rates were observed in 25~27.5°C. The shortest larval period was recorded at 14L:10D. At 10L:14D, in contrast, pupae showed the lowest chance of eclosion. Overall, larval development was optimal in long-day condition.

        Channel Defect Analysis Method of a-IGZO TFTs on Polyimide for Flexible Displays

        In this paper, we introduce a method enabling faster and more innovative analysis of the channel characteristics of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) manufactured on flexible substrates through electrical property analysis. The TFTs used in the present evaluation were a-IGZO TFTs with different oxygen flow rates (OFRs), which have been reported on frequently in the past, to confirm the effectiveness of the new evaluation method. The interface characteristics of the IGZO and the insulator were confirmed by density of state (DOS) extraction using photoexcited charge collection spectroscopy (PECCS). Defects of the TFT active layer were confirmed through the capacitance-time (c-t) method. It was confirmed that the smaller the OFR, the smaller the carrier lifetime due to the presence of oxygen vacancies. In conclusion, by obtaining the same results as previously reported physical analyses, the proposed electrical channel characteristics analysis of IGZO TFTs was shown to be a reliable analysis method.

      • 장애인 환자의 전신마취 하 반복된 치과치료에 대한 조사

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the dental treatment of patients with disabilities, especially according to the frequency of general anesthesia, and to propose the improvements in oral care. The subjects of the present study were 85 patients including age, sex, medical condition, dental treatment and the number of general anesthesia. The patients were divided into regular and irregular check groups according to their follow-up patterns. These two groups were compared for the frequency of general anesthesia and the type of repeated treatment. The results showed that restorative treatment was superior in numbers under first visit of general anesthesia. And more general anesthesia was performed in the irregular recall check group compared with the regular recall check group. This survey suggest that easy access to a dental clinic and the convenience of treatment is needed. On the other hand, there is a time limit on the dental care for disabilities by the dentist. Therefore oral care training program should be simultaneously provided for parents to improve the efficiency of dental care at home. In conclusion, efforts should be made for more comprehensive and effective dental care including regular recall check and preventive home care for disabilities.

        기후변화는 인간의 활동으로 인해 발생되는 이산화탄소를 비롯한 다양한 온실기체, 도시화 등의 원인으로 발생하며 우리나라의 경우 기후변화의 직접적인 영향과 더불어 동북아시아의 급속한 경제성장으로 인한 온실가스 배출 증가에 따른 영향을 직· 간접적으로 영향을 더욱 받을 것으로 전망된다(한국 기후변화 평가보고서 2014, 기상청). 이에 따라 발생할 수 있는 이상기후나 집중호우, 이상홍수 등은 근본적으로 기후변화에 의해 발생하는 현상으로 수공구조물을 설계함에 있어 변화되는 기상현상을 고려하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 최근 기후변화로 인한 집중호우 및 태풍 등으로 농업용저수지의 설계빈도를 초과하는 폭우가 빈번히 발생하고 있으며, 폭우로 인해 유발되는 홍수는 농업용저수지의 수문학적 안정성에 따라 저수지 상· 하류 지역에 큰 피해로 이어질 수 있다. 또한, 한국 기후변화 평가보고서(기상청, 2014)에 따르면 한반도의 경우 지표 유출량이 미래로 갈수록 증가할 것으로 전망하고 있어 수리시설물의 안전에 대한 국민적, 국가적 관심도가 증대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기상청관할 기상관측소 지점의 강우데이터를 수집하여 확률강우량 경향성 분석을 실시하고, 분석결과를 강우-유출모형에 적용시켜 농업용저수지의 설계홍수량 변화를 검토하여 미래발생 가능한 불확실성에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

        A Study on the Electrical Characteristic Analysis of c-Si Solar Cell Diodes

        A study on the electrical characteristic analysis of solar cell diodes under experimental conditions of varying temperature and frequency has been conducted. From the current-voltage (I-V) measurements, at the room temperature, we obtained the ideality factor (n) for Space Charge Region (SCR) and Quasi-Neutral Region (QNR) of 3.02 and 1.76, respectively. Characteristics showed that the value of n (at SCR) decreases with rising temperature and n (at QNR) increases with the same conditions. These are due to not only the sharply increased SCR current flow but the activated carrier recombination in the bulk region caused by defects such as contamination, dangling bonds. In addition, from the I-V measurements implemented to confirm the junction uniformity of cells, the average current dispersion was 40.87% and 10.59% at the region of SCR and QNR, respectively. These phenomena were caused by the pyramidal textured junction structure formed to improve the light absorption on the device’s front surface, and these affect to the total diode current flow. These defect and textured junction structure will be causes that solar cell diodes have non-ideal electrical characteristics compared with general p-n junction diodes. Also, through the capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements under the frequency of 180 ㎑, we confirmed that the value of built-in potential is 0.63 V.

        Comparative Analysis of the Korean Population of Magnaporthe oryzae by Multilocus Microsatellite Typing

        Rice blast fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae, inflicts serious damage to global rice production. Due to high variability of this fungal pathogen, resistance of newly-released rice cultivars is easily broken down. To understand the population structure of M. oryzae, we analyzed the genetic diversity of the Korean population using multilocus microsatellite typing. Eleven microsatellite markers were applied to the population of 190 rice isolates which had been collected in Korea for two decades since the 1980's. Average values of gene diversity and allele frequency were 0.412 and 6.5, respectively. Comparative analysis of the digitized allele information revealed that the Korean population exhibited a similar level of allele diversity to the integrated diversity of the world populations, suggesting a particularly high diversity of the Korean population. Therefore, these microsatellite markers and the comprehensive collection of field isolates will be useful genetic resources to identify the genetic diversity of M. oryzae population.

        Integrated Risk Management Method Development for Multiple Aerospace Projects Using a Single Index Expression

        Aerospace industry is integrated with state-of-the-art technology but uncertainty is increasing due to the lack of accumulated data. In addition, projects at aerospace research and development institutions have become large and complex. Accordingly, the organization’s top level has recognized the importance of risk-informed decision-making and performed risk management to operate the organization successfully. However, it is difficult to set the priorities of risk treatment as a whole in the aspect of managing risks of the organization because each project may have a difference in methods for the risk identification, assessment and determining risk levels. Thus, it is required to develop a standardized and quantitative method that can integrate risks in the level of each project to identify the status of risk management intuitively at the top level for all projects performed by the organization. This paper presents an index-based scheme for an organization-level risk management. To obtain the organization-level risk index, the risk index of each project is summed up by applying the weighting factors representing the priority of the project in the organization, such as budget. The risk index of each project is calculated by summing the levels of the risks and applying the weight factor according to the target schedule. The risk level is determined by probability and severity of the risks, which are calculated according to the quantitative evaluation standard. Based on this method, a risk model(R-Model) is established and applied to a research institute by using real data for 3 years. By analyzing the trends of the index, it can be confirmed that R-Model helps intuitively identify risks and make decisions at the top level. This paper is significant in developing an index-based scheme for an organization-level risk management and validating the proposed scheme through a case study on real projects of a major aerospace research institute.

        This plan explores the marketing potential for the use of Big Data along with visual analytics in neonatal intensive care units. The goal of this technology is to provide more efficient and streamlined data collection and display methods for an extremely vulnerable segment of the population. The applicability of this technology is explored through various business models which address the short, medium, and long term marketing goals, such as SWOT, TOWS, and a Strategic Road Map. The results provide strong support for potential market application in Korea as well as abroad.

        Charging Compensation Layer on Polyimide for Enhanced Device Stability in Flexible Technology

        In this paper, we propose a structure that prevents the charging eff ects that occur in devices fabricated on polyimide (PI)substrates. In general, when fabricating a device on a PI substrate, an inorganic barrier layer is fi rst deposited to preventpenetration of oxygen and moisture. In this study, we confi rmed that fl uorine ions were induced from PI by bias stress andproposed a SiOCH/SiO 2 double layer as a barrier to prevent charging. Then, Al/PI/SiO 2 /Al and Al/ PI/SiOCH/SiO 2 /Al metal–insulator–metal capacitors were manufactured. The capacitor characteristics before and after application of bias stress wereverifi ed through current–voltage (I–V) and capacitance–voltage (C–V), which are electrical characterization methods, andsecondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), which is a physical analysis method. As the voltage increased, the capacitance andcurrent of the Al/PI/SiO 2 /Al capacitor varied, but those of the Al/PI/SiOCH/SiO 2 /Al device did not change. Finally, SIMSanalysis confi rmed that the PI-derived fl uorine ions replaced the Si–CH 3 bonds within the SiOCH fi lm with Si–F bonds,thereby preventing capacitance and current fl uctuations.
