In recent years the research and development about the new material proceeds rabidly and actively in the building industry. As building structures become biger, higher and more soecialized, so does the demand for material with higher strength. The repair of initially leaded high-strength reinforced concrete structures using carbo fiber sheet(CFS) was investigated experimentally. The test results indicate that CFS is is very effective for strengthening the damaged structures and controlling deflections of the repaired structures. When carbon fiber sheet rehabilitation of high strength concrete structures haven diagonal crack the increase in the number of CFS layers didn,t effect the increase in the strength of concrete.

Mokpo area has natural advantages for ship building and good Infra-Structure such as railroad, harbor(construction of a new output), the west coast highwasy, Muan international airport nearby. This good Infra-Structure will enable Mokpo a nucleus city of the distribution industry in the Yellow sea rimland with the steady increasing trade with China and this will stimulate the shipping industry to leads to a demand for ships. To prepare for this need, the analysis of the international shipbuilding market conditions and the investigation of the present state of domestic and Mokpo area's shipbuilding industry are performed ahead of the futre growth plan of Mokpo area's shipbuilding industry. In this study, by examining the state of small and midium sized shipbuilding yards in Japan, the problems and the solutions of those in Korea is clearly found. Moreover, the problems are listed and th counterplans of ship production technique which the small and medium sized shipbuilding yards have in common in Korea and the manpower supply plan in Mokpo area are suggested. Under the aim of having small and medium sized shipbuiling yards which have the strenthened competitiveness and a sound base of the shipping and distribution industry in the near future, the action plans are proposed and the direction of the future growth study are presented.

A series of 2-alkyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-2,6-diazacyclopenta[b]anthracene-5,10-diones (4a-f) was synthesized and their in vitro cytotoxic activities were evaluated against six human cancer cell lines (HCT15, SK-OV-3, SNB19, A549, MCF7 and MCF7/ADR). They all appeared to be less potent than doxorubicin against all doxorubicin sensitive human cancer cell lines tested. However, these compounds retained considerable cytotoxic activity against the doxorubicinresistant cell line MCF7/ADR, implying their therapeutic potential to treat doxorubicin-resistant tumors. The most active compound 4c was equipotent with doxorubicin against HCT15 cell line.

<P>Rhodamine-labelled dieckol (<B>1</B>) synthesized through a click reaction was found to be localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of RAW 264.7 cells. Anti-inflammatory activity of compound <B>1</B> was considerably greater than that of dieckol itself.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Rhodamine-labelled dieckol localized in the ER of RAW cells. Steel fiber and polymer are used widely for reinforcement material of RC structures because of its excellences of the durability, serviceability as well as mechanical properties. The purpose of this study is to investigate the shear behavior of polymer cement high strength concrete beams mixed with steel fiber. The compressive strength of concrete was based on the 100×200 mm cylinder specimens. The compressive strength of concrete are 320 kgf/㎠, 436 kgf/㎠ and 520 kgf/㎠ in the 28 days. The static test was carried out to measure the ultimate load, the initial load of flexural and diagonal cracking, crack patterns and fracture modes. Also, load-strain and load-deflection examined. During the test cracks were sketched against the load values according to the growth of crack. Result are as follows; (1) The failure modes of the specimens are increased in rigidity and durability with mixing steel fiber and polymer. (2) The load of initial crack was similar a theory of shear-crack strength. (3) The deflection and strain at failure load of Polymer-steel fiber high strength concrete beams were increased, improving the brittleness of the high strength concrete.

Abstract This work is a study on modeling of concrete mix proportioning. Although concrete is one of the most important materials for construction, its production system is not so well organized in comparison with other materials. The hetrogeneous nature of concrete and concrete materials create numerous variables which influence the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. The relationships between the different variables are formulated into equations. The regression analysis was done by using the computer program Statistical Analysis for Engineers. A computer program was written for proportioning the different ingredients of concrete using the derived equations.
