GPU-ACCELERATED SPECKLE MASKING RECONSTRUCTION ALGORITHM FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION SOLAR IMAGES
Yanfang Zheng,Xuebao Li,Huifeng Tian,Qiliang Zhang,Chong Su,Lingyi Shi,Ta Zhou 한국천문학회 2018 Journal of The Korean Astronomical Society Vol.51 No.3
The near real-time speckle masking reconstruction technique has been developed to accelerate the processing of solar images to achieve high resolutions for ground-based solar telescopes. However, the reconstruction of solar subimages in such a speckle reconstruction is very time-consuming. We design and implement a new parallel speckle masking reconstruction algorithm based on the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) on General Purpose Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU). Tests are performed to validate the correctness of our program on NVIDIA GPGPU. Details of several parallel reconstruction steps are presented, and the parallel implementation between various modules shows a significant speed increase compared to the previous serial implementations. In addition, we present a comparison of runtimes across serial programs, the OpenMP-based method, and the new parallel method. The new parallel method shows a clear advantage for large scale data processing, and a speedup of around 9 to 10 is achieved in reconstructing one solar subimage of 256$\times$256 pixels. The speedup performance of the new parallel method exceeds that of OpenMP-based method overall. We conclude that the new parallel method would be of value, and contribute to real-time reconstruction of an entire solar image.

In this paper, we report an improved transfer of graphene by directly picking up the graphene with target substrates and the comparison of such transferred graphene samples with other graphene samples transferred by the commonly used "PMMA-based transfer" method. Raman spectroscopy studies show that this "direct transfer method" does not degrade the graphene structure and field effect transistor measurements show that it does not introduce any extra doping in graphene; in contrast, PMMA-based transfer samples have strong n-type doping. We also find that graphene samples achieved by this direct transfer method show higher mobility than graphene obtained from the PMMA-based transfer method.
Utilization of electron beam to modulate electron injection over Schottky barrier
Qi Zhang,Junjie Qi,Yunhua Huang,Huifeng Li,Xin Li,Ruoshui Wang,Yue Zhang 한국물리학회 2011 Current Applied Physics Vol.11 No.3
Modulation of electron injection over Schottky barrier was realized by employing electron beam irradiation on the metal/ZnO-nanowire contact. The structure revealed a good response to the illumination at a scanning frequency of 0.1 Hz, which can be enhanced by increasing bias and decreased with the increase of electron beam energy. These phenomena can be attributed to the Schottky barrier formed at the metal/ZnO-nanowire interface which limits the electron transport across the contact. The electron beam irradiation gives rise to high efficiency of electron injection over the barrier, while the interplay between charge discreteness, coherent scattering, and Coulomb interaction may reduce the conductivity.

The purpose of this research is to examine how Wang Hong’s characteristics (expertise and attractiveness) and video content (informativeness and entertainment) affect consumers’ purchase intention in Wanghong Marketing, that is a representative form of live commerce in China. This study investigates whether Wang Hong’s trust plays a mediation role in the influence of Wang Hong’s characteristics and purchase intention and whether the trust in the product has a mediation effect on the characteristics of video contents and purchase intention. Also, we observed whether Wang Hong’s trust has an impact on trust in the product. Especially we examined how the Wang Hong-products’ fitness moderates the influence of Wang Hong’s characteristics on their trust and also paid attention to whether the product type (utilitarian vs. hedonic) can act as a moderation variable in the relationship between the characteristics of video content and the trust in the product. The data consists of 290 consumers who have purchased products through live commerce conducted by famous Wang Hong, and a structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The finding indicates that Wang Hong’s characteristics have a significant effect on Wang Hong’s trust. The characteristics of the video content have a significant effect on trust in the product. Besides, the higher the trust in Wanghong, the higher the reliability of the product. Regarding the moderating effect of the wanghong-products’ fitness, if the attractiveness is higher, then the trust of the wanghong becomes higher, but the expertise cannot play a moderating role. In terms of product type, compared with the hedonic product, when people purchase the utilitarian product, the informativeness of video has a greater impact on products’ trust, while the entertainment, there is no moderation effect.
