The thermal decomposition process of Mo(CO)_6 on chemical vapor deposition was investigated by analyzing the effects of deposition temperature, pressure, and reaction gas on the phase change of deposited films. Mo_2C was deposited at or below 350℃ due to the incompleteness of thermal decomposition of Mo(CO)_6, but Mo films was successfully deposited at 400℃ or higher temperatures. The variation of deposition pressure did not change the dependence of decomposition process on deposition temperature. The activation energy of surface reaction was 5.8 ㎉/mole.

Agricultural ecosystem biodiversity monitoring and community variation analysis of insects were conducted from 2016 to 2018 in selected conventional and organic farming fields in Goesan district, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. The total number of 1,125 species in 16 orders and 207 families were identified. The numbers of species collected in the locations practicing organic farming were greater than the conventional farming both in the paddy fields (564 vs. 383 species) and the upland fields (471 vs. 365 species). Among them, Hemiptera had the most abundant of species, followed by Diptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera and Araneae. We calculated various index values of biodiversity (diversity index H’, richness index R, evenness index J’, dominance index D, and similarity index QS) based on quantitative measurements of species and individuals collected over three years of field monitoring. Variations in biodiversity index values in different agricultural systems show that the positive effect of organic farming is to produce more biodiversity than conventional farming systems. When compared to other index results reported in Korea, Japan and China, the richness index was higher and other index values were at similar levels.
AZ91D 합금의 기계적 특성에 미치는 유지온도 및 전단변형속도의 영향

본 논문은 낮은 밀도, 높은 비강도, 우수한 기계 가공성, 진동 흡수성, 치수 안정성 등으로 인하여 크게 주목받고 있는 경량금속인 AZ91D합금의 레오캐스팅(Rheo casting)시 유지온도와 전단변형속도등의 공정변수가 재료의 미세조직과 인장강도와 경도등의 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다. 그 결과 교반에 의해 수지상정(dendrite)이 파쇄되고 구형화됨을 관찰할수 있었고, 교반속도가 증가함에 따라 입자간의 응집을 파괴하는 전단응력이 증가하여 초정입자의 크기가 감소하고 β상(Mg17Al12)의 입계석출이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 온도가 낮고 교반속도가 증가할수록 입자미세화와 β상의 석출 중가로 인하여 경도는 증가하였으나, 입계에 주로 석출하기 때문에 인장강도와 항복강도, 연신율은 감소하였다. In this study, the rheocasting solidification process was applied in the production of AZ91D alloy with low density, high strength, good castability, and damping capacity. Changes of microstructure and mechanical properties with different holding temperature and shear strain rates were investigated. Dendritic α-phase was fragmentated by stirring, the size was decreased with increasing shear strain rate, and precipitation of Mg17Al12 phase was increased with decreasing holding temperature and increasing shear strain rate. In tensile test, U.T.S and Y, S were decreased while hardness was increased with decreasing holding temperature and increasing shear rate. This tendency of mechanical properties was closely related with the behavior of Mg17Al12 phase.

Background: Recently, patients' demands for emergency medicine are increasing, and most of prehospital medical care, including basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and triage, are provided by paramedics or emergency medical technicians. Evaluation of the adequacy of prehospital management and triage has become important for improving the quality and the effectiveness of the emergency medical system. Methods: The 202 patients who were transferred by ambulance with paramedics, nurses, or emergency medical technicians to the Emergency Department in Gil Medical Center from July 1, 1999, to September 31, 1999, were enrolled. This study was conducted prospectively by using the emergency physician,s log and newly devised protocols recorded by paramedics or nurses. Results: 1) Male to female ratio was 1: 0.8, and the peak age of the patients were the 4th(18.8%) and 6th decade(15.3%). 2) Of the 202 patients, 84 patients were transferred for trauma and 118 for medical problems. The mean transfer time was 6±1.73 minutes. 3) The validities of prehospital triage and decisions using the trauma severity measure and the disease severity measure, were 33.3% in trauma patients and 57.6% in medical patients.4) The results for the adequacy rate in prehospital management analyzed by using the rate of necessity of treatment. performance of treatment, and adequate treatment were as follows: oxygen supply.38.1/41.6/93.8 ; wound dressing. 19.3/71.8/92.9 ; immobilization of the cervical spine, 15.8/56.3/92.9 ; application of a spinal board. 12.9/42.3/72.7 ; application of a splint, 9.9/50.0/60.0 ; manual maintenance of an airway. 9.9/55.0/63.6 ; and CPR, 4.5/66.7/0. 5) Kind of ALS(Advanced Life Support) were not conducted(peripheral IV, EKG. intubation, medical administration. defibrillation, pacing). The rates of necessity of treatment were as follows: peripheral IV, 40.6%; ECG monitoring, 23.3% ; endotracheal intubation, 8.9% ; medical administration, 8.9% ; defibrillation. 3.5%; and pacing. 1.5% Conclusion: The adequacy of prehospital triage and decisions using trauma and disease severity measures was relatively low. To improve the adequacy of BLS(Basic Life Support) and to increase the performance of ALS(Advanced Life Support), we must create challenges to develop new protocols and to supplement new equipment.
Negative Fermi-Level Pinning Effect of Metal/n-GaAs(001) Junction Induced by a Graphene Interlayer

<P>It is demonstrated that the electric dipole layer due to the overlapping of electron wave functions at the metal/graphene contact results in a negative Fermi-level pinning effect on the region of the GaAs surface with low interface-trap density in the metal/graphene/n-GaAs(001) junction. The graphene interlayer plays the role of a diffusion barrier, preventing the atomic intermixing at the interface and preserving the low interface-trap density region. The negative Fermi-level pinning effect is supported by the decrease of the Schottky barrier with the increase of the metal work function. Our work shows that the graphene interlayer can invert the effective work function of the metal between high and low, making it possible to form both Schottky and Ohmic-like contacts with identical (particularly high work function) metal electrodes on a semiconductor substrate possessing low surface-state density.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
