Salmonella enterica serovar typhi, a Gram-negative food-borne pathogen, causes typhoid fever in humans. OmpC is an outer membrane porin of S. typhi expressed throughout the infection period. OmpC is potentially an attractive antigen for multivalent vaccines and diagnostic kit designs. In this study we combined in silico, in vitro and in vivo approaches to analyze various aspects of OmpC`s antigenic properties. The conserved region, in addition to secondary and tertiary structures, and linear B cell epitopes, were predicted. A number of results obtained from in silico analyses were validated by experimental studies. OmpC was amplified, cloned and then expressed, with the recombinant protein then being purified. BALB/c mice were immunized by purified denatured OmpC. The titer of antibody was raised. Results of challenges with the pathogen revealed that the immunity is non-protective. Most of the theoretical and experimental results were in consensus. Introduced linear B cell epitopes can be employed for the design of diagnostic kits based on antigen-antibody interactions.
La perspective éthique de la didactique des langues-cultures
Hoda Khayat,Hamid Reza Shairi,Rouhollah Rahmatian,Roya Letafati 고려대학교 응용문화연구소 2014 에피스테메 Vol.0 No.12
The ethical dimension of teaching is rooted in dynamicity which in turn is in an interrelated and trans-individuality space. This dynamicity is generated by forces which reflect the ways human subjects act. Insofar as ethics opens a perspective to the other individual, the ideal and the new action, we are in a deictic orientation which gives the symbolic gestures a pragmatic dimension. Thus, the interaction ethico-didactic provides teaching-learning process with a performative and anthropological sense. So, it would be interesting to use the applied predicates which relate the educational subject with other individual. In which sense are these predicates available to create ethical-didactic activities? Our task is therefore to examine the application of predicates which would lead us to an action or a social project created by the ethical sense.
Investigating the Effectiveness of an Integrated Approach to Teaching Literature in an EFL Context
( Hoda Divsar ),( Abdorreza Tahriri ) 범태평양응용언어학회 2009 범태평양응용언어학회지 Vol.13 No.2
In the present paper, three models for teaching literature including language-based, literature as content or culture, and literature as personal growth or enrichment were evaluated. Based on these models, an integrated model was suggested. An experimental study was carried out in order to examine the effectiveness of the suggested approach compared to a conventional and instructor-led one. One-hundred and twenty BA students majoring in English Literature took part in a one-semester experiment. For the experimental group, the integrated approach was utilized whereas the method used for the control group was based on content-cultural model according to which the course instructor provided all the necessary information without focusing on the linguistic or stylistic considerations. The post-test consisted of three parts: linguistic, interpretive and cultural sections. The results of the study confirmed the plausibility of the use of the suggested eclectic approach to teaching literature. Several pedagogical implications were drawn.
The Effect of Financial Liberalization on Economic Growth: The Case of Egypt and Saudi Arabia
Hoda MANSOUR,Soliman HASSAN 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.11
Theoretically, economic growth necessitates financial liberalization. Thus, the current research examines the effect of financial liberalization on economic growth in emerging nations, with a particular focus on Egypt and Saudi Arabia. To determine this effect, the study employs a model that uses Gross Domestic Product growth as the dependent variable and the following macroeconomic variables as financial liberalization indices: Broad money as a percentage of GDP, Domestic bank credit to the private sector as a percentage of GDP, Monetary sector credit to the private sector as a percentage of GDP, Net inflows of foreign direct investment as a percentage of GDP. All data is annual data of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the period 1970–2018 obtained from the World Bank open data website. The empirical investigation employs the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. The findings indicate that, after more than three decades of implementation, both countries’ financial and external liberalization policies do not have a favorable effect on their economies’ growth rates. Additionally, this study has led us to conclude that any financial liberalization policy in both countries must be preceded by the strengthening of these countries’ financial development and institutional frameworks, as well as the achievement of macroeconomic stability.
Some Ćiric Type Fixed Point Results in non-Archimedean Modular Metric Spaces

In this paper, we establish some Ciric type fixed point theorems in α−complete and orbitally T−complete non-Archimedean modular metric spaces. Meanwhile, we present an illustrative example to emphasis the realized improvements. These obtained results extend and improve certain well known results in the literature

Phytochemical investigation of the roots of Echiochilon fruticosum resulted in the isolation of two naphthoquinone derivatives. Compound 1 was identified as anhydroalkanin while compound 2 was identified as a new derivative 5-hydroxy 8-methoxy 2-(4-methylpent-1,3-dienyl) naphthalene-1,4-dione named as echiochiloquinone. In addition, caffeic acid 3, caffeic acid methyl ester 4 were isolated. The structures were determined by physical, chemical and spectral methods. The anti-inflammatory activity of the root extracts and compound 2 was evaluated utilizing both cotton pellet-induced and carragenin-induced rat paw edema. The ulcerogenic effect was also studied.
ARREST OF SHIPS : GATEWAY TO A SUCCESSFUL CLAIM
( Hoda Asgarian ) 고려대학교 법학연구원 2022 The Asian Business Lawyer Vol.29 No.-
When claiming against someone, the main concern is whether the claim can be secured and paid. It is the same in the field of the marine industry. In the marine industry, it is important to secure the claimant’s claims. One way to fulfill this is to arrest the ship, which enables the claimants to successfully reap the benefit of a claim. When an arrest warrant is issued, the vessel is detained to secure the maritime claim. There is always the question of jurisdiction and some countries are more favorable to the arrest than the others. Besides, as the ship is used for commercial usage, the unlawful detention may cause substantial financial loss to the owner; hence the claimant must be aware of the drawbacks, as he will be the one responsible for the impairment. Moreover, if the claimant agrees to the ship's release (either the shipowner secures the claim in other ways or agrees upon other terms) or the court decides so, the vessel remains under arrest. There are many issues raised by the arrest of the ship, and this essay will review the salient ones.

In this paper, we solve the three-dimensional biharmonic equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions of second kind using the full multigrid (FMG) algorithm. We derive a finite difference approximations for the biharmonic equation on a 18 point compact stencil. The unknown solution and its second derivatives are carried as unknowns at grid points. In the multigrid methods, we use a fourth order interpolation to producing a new intermediate unknown functions values on a finer grid, and the full weighting restriction operators to calculating the residuals at coarse grid points. A set of test problems gives excellent results.
