        Discursive resistance, insistence and appeasement: The frontiers of discourse and their semiotic functions

        From linguistic point of view, discourse is an individual action which is the product of language use. Such an action that ties outward and lived experiences of enunciator with inward quest of language into discourse is our main focus of attention alongside other related issues which this study tries to investigate thoroughly. Among diverse functions of discourse three characteristics entitled resistive, insisting and appeasing are those properties that are the foundations of many discourses. Discursive resistance negates an assertive and stabilized status with creation of different and novel situation. The most important issue of assertive status negation of a discourse is to open the way to a new perspective which represents the trajectory of discursive and can prepare the situations of development and transcendence. Resistance and insistence redefine discursive power. Accordingly, power can change the situation of assertive status with quantitative extension of its presence. Now, it should investigate how and based on which functions the discourse will encounter dynamic process of appeasement and changes assertive and stabilized circumstances? The main objective of this study is to analyze three dimensional feature of discourse which are resistive, insisting and appeasing attributes in the framework of semiotics.

        Cultural Semiotics Analysis of Carpet and Furniture in Iranian Lifestyle

        The present study seeks to analyze cultural semiotics of carpet and furniture place, as significant objects rooted in Iranian culture for centuries, and in the process of paradigmatic and syntagmatic, they examine the functional, anthropological, semantic and value differences in Iranian cultural discourse. Thus, the main question is “what has been the influence of carpet and furniture as the main household objects in Iranian lifestyles during the contemporary era, and what elements and concepts of our identity and culture have transformed in this interaction?”. According to the findings of this research, it can be argued that carpet, together with many of its meanings in the contemporary era, has lost its central position, become smaller and found an auxiliary function alongside other furniture. Its practical value has diminished, and sometimes has an amusing aspect, while the furniture has enjoyed many signs meanings and has not only changed Iran's lifestyle in the contemporary era, but it also caused a greater distinction and formality of communications. It also acts as a sign of power and distinctive relations. As a result, it is understood how the objects are measured and valued based on social class and tastes in the contemporary lifestyle.

        Le style tensif et le conflit du sens dans le texte littéraire: le cas de “Le chien et le flacon” de Baudelaire

        The tensive style, as developed by the semiotic discourses, has built an interaction between two levels of discourse, namely the intensity and extensity. First of all, we may return in terms of content and secondly in terms of the expression of literary text. The tensive intersection of these two planes of language creates a tension that gives rise to conflicts of meaning. From what tensive process is it possible to study these conflicts? In what tensive style is a relationship with the cultural style established? This essay aims to demonstrate it through the poetic text of Baudelaire, the conflict in meaning while using the tensive style and the role it plays in the choice of value nder construction. Le style tensif, tel qu’il est élaboré par la sémiotique du discours, construit une interaction entre deux niveaux du discours, à savoirl’intensité et l’extensité. La première peut nous renvoyer au plan du contenu et la deuxième au plan de l’expression du texte littéraire. Del’intersection tensive de ces deux plans du langage se crée une tension qui donne lieu à des conflits du sens. A partir de quel processus tensif est-il possible d’étudier ces conflits ? En quoi le style tensif peu-il établir un rapport avec le culturel ? Cet essai aura pour objectif de montrer, à travers le texte poétique de Baudelaire, le conflit du sens tout en ayant recours au style tensif et au rôle qu’il joue dans le choix des valeurs en construction.

        Nostalgia as the Figure of Semiotic Mediation in the Literary Discourse: The Case Study of Shemiran House by Goli Taraghi

        Nostalgia, originally a psychological term, is a recurrent concept in the literary works. The meaning of the term encompasses homesickness, regret for past, and a desire for an earlier time. The immigrant authors have also dealt with the theme of nostalgia to a great extent. In this article, the authors by choosing the Shemiran house, the novel written by Goli taraghi Persian contemporary immigrant writer, aims to respond to the following question by adopting post ─ Greimassian approaches to semiotics. How and under what circumstances nostalgia would be considered as semiotic and discursive mediation? How it would be possible to establish a relationship between this notion and the question of identity in the host culture? In the light of theoretical frame work of tensive semiotics, cultural mediation and semiosphere theory of Lotman, the hypothesizes of this article in one hand prove that nostalgia creates a tensive zone which is temporally and spatially bounded and on the other hand it causes the transmission of values to the present time of enunciator which results in the scission of being and the challenge between Self and I. The interaction of guest and host semiosphers leads to the formation of a hybrid identity as well.

        La perspective éthique de la didactique des langues-cultures

        The ethical dimension of teaching is rooted in dynamicity which in turn is in an interrelated and trans-individuality space. This dynamicity is generated by forces which reflect the ways human subjects act. Insofar as ethics opens a perspective to the other individual, the ideal and the new action, we are in a deictic orientation which gives the symbolic gestures a pragmatic dimension. Thus, the interaction ethico-didactic provides teaching-learning process with a performative and anthropological sense. So, it would be interesting to use the applied predicates which relate the educational subject with other individual. In which sense are these predicates available to create ethical-didactic activities?Our task is therefore to examine the application of predicates which would lead us to an action or a social project created by the ethical sense.
