        This study was carried out to investigate the current nutritional problems owing to the increased consumption of westernized food in Korea and also was conducted to compare the nutritional characteristics of Korean traditional meal with those of the Western diet in similar serving size. The results obtained from nutritional evaluation are as follows: 1. The percentage of calories represented by carbohydrate: lipid: protein was 65:15:20 respectively for Korean traditional meal (Table setting of 3 Chop) therefore these ratios meet the dietary recommended allowances for Koreans. 2. Nutrient values of Korean traditional 3-Chop were shown to be better balanced than those of Western diet when the nutrients of the two types of diet were estimated by similar serving sizes and calories. 3. Compared to the Korean traditional meal, most fast foods were nutritionally imbalanced especially in that most of them showed higher amounts of fats. These results show that Korean traditional meals supply ideal nutrient intakes in contrasts to the westernized diet, therefore much work remains in developing a variety of menus and standard recipes for Korean traditional meals according to the changes in diet trends as well as emphasing the importance of Korean traditional meals as part of an ideal, well-banlanced diet.

      • Neuropeptide γ의 구조 및 생리활성

        생리활성을 지닌 신경펩타이드의 구조와 활성간의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 고상법으로 합성한 세종류의 neuropeptide γ(mammalian-,trout- 그리고 goldfish-neuropeptide γ)를 사용하여 연구하였다. Circular dichroism spectra에 의하면 mammalian-,trout- 와 goldfish-neuropeptide γ는 완충액 조건하에 모두 random한 구조를 나타내었다. 중성 및 산성 지질 존재 하에서, mammalian-과 trout- neuropeptide γ는 여전히 random한 구조를 취하였다. 그러나, goldfish-neuropeptide γ는 중성 및 산성지질하에서 부분적으로 α-helix구조를 나타내었다. 장관 수축활성에 있어서는 carp 장관, guinea-pig 회장 그리고 rat십이지장에 대하여 비교하였다. Carp에 대해서는 goldfish-neuropeptide γ= trout- neuropeptide γ>mammalian-neuropeptide γ순으로 활서이 나타났다. 그러나, guinea-pig 회장과 rat십이지장에 대해서 mammalian-neuropeptide γ는 어류 유래성 neuropeptide g들 보다 높은 수축활성을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과들은 neuropeptide γ들이 종-특이적인 활성을 나타낸다는 것을 제시한다. The relationship between structure and biological activity was studied on the three neuropeptides(mammalian-,trout- and goldfish-neuropeptide γ)that were syntheized by the solid-phase method. Circular dichroism spectra showed that mammalian-,trout- and goldfish-neuropeptide γadopted an undered structure in buffer solution. In the presence od neutral and acidic liposomes, mammalian-and trout- neuropeptide γ also took a random structure. However, goldfish-neuropeptide γ took an α-helical structure in acidic liposomes. The intestinal motility response was investigated with carp interstines, guinea-pig ileums and rat duodenums. In case of carp intestine, contractine activity was as follows:goldfish-neuropeptide γ= trout- neuropeptide γ> mammalian-neuropeptide γ. On the other hand, the contracile activity of mammalian-neuropeptide γ was more potent than trout- and goldfish-neuropeptide γ in the guinea-pig ileums and rat duodenums. these results suggest that neuropeptide γs showed the species-specific activity.

        The Working Group on the revision of Clinical Research Methodology for Acupuncture met in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 24 to 26 August 2005. The main objectives of the meeting were to review the regional publication guidelines for Clinical Research on Acupuncture, to make necessary revisions in the guidelines, to make recommendations on further collaboration and activities in the field of research on acupuncture, and to discuss scientific evidence-based approaches in the clinical research on acupuncture. Fourteen members from the eight Member States, one secretariat staff from the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific and ten observers from the Republic of Korea attended the meeting. The members presented their papers to review the current status of clinical research on acupuncture. The drafts of proposed revision to the previous guidelines for clinical research methodology on acupuncture were discussed extensively. The issues covered during the discussion included: the definition of the new terms; reorganization of clinical research design; revision and update of contents (e.g., control group); introduction of Institutional Review Board (IRB) on the section of ethical approval; additional outcomes including health-related quality of life (HRQOL), qualitative measures, etc. In the course of these discussions, the working group developed the revised guidelines for clinical research on acupuncture and made recommendations for promoting the dissemination of the revised guidelines.

      • 귤응애 및 귤진딧물에 대한 Oligota yasumatsui K.와 몇가지 무당벌레 變種의 捕食能力

        A study was conducted to evaluate the predatism of the staphilinid beetle(Oligota yasumatsui K.) and some lady beetles (five varieties of Harmonia axyrids, and Cocyinalla bruckii Mul.) on the citrus red mites (Panonychus citri McG.) and the citrus aphids(Toxoptera citricidus K.). The adults of the staphilinid beetle preyed on from 8.6 to 9.5 citrus red mites per day. The potentials of the lady beetle larvae (Harmonia axyridis var. 19-signata) to consume the aphids and the mites per day were 27.0 and 3.7 at the first stadium, 27.1 and 3.0 at the second stadium, 37.2 and 2.9 at the third stadium, and 46.0 and 2.9 at the fourth stadium, respectively. Regardless the varieties and/or species of the lady beetles, the adults much more consumed and prefered the aphids than mites. There was no specific relationships between predatism of the predators and temperature/humidity in this study.

      • CROSS형 ABS 센서 개발에 관한 연구

        Antilock Brake Sysytem(ABS) si the device for getting the braking force and the cornering force of the car. The ABS sensor consists of a permanent magnet and pickup coil. When the rotor and the sensor changes, The air gap between the rotor and the sensor changes. This disturbs the magnetic flux emanating from the permanent magnet and generates ac voltage in the pickup coil. The frequency fo this ac voltage changes with the speed of rotation, and in this way the system is able to measure the rotation speed of the wheel. The purpose of this report is to describe a development method of a new type sensor after analyzing two kinds of typical sensors.

      • 미더덕의 지질 및 Ex분중의 유리아미노산에 관한 연구

        우리나라 남해안 지방의 향토식품으로 즐겨먹는 미더덕의 지질의 특성과 Ex분중의 유리아미노산의 조성을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 미더덕의 조지질 함량은 1.6%였고 IV는 157이었다. 2. TLC에 의한 지질의 조성은 원점에서부터 polalipid, monoglyceride, sterol, tryglyceride의 순으로 나타났다. 3. 미더덕의 총지방산조성은 ??(17.26), ??(17.49), ??(14.27)순으로 가장 많았다. 4. 미더덕 중성지질의 지방산은 ??(23.57%), ??(14.33%), ??(14.0%)이 主된 조성이었고 극성지질의 지방산은 ??(20.82%), ??(11.66%), ??(11.19%)가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 5. 미더덕 지질의 총 지방산 중에는 포화지방산이 22.92%, monoenoic 지방산이 32.89%, polyenoic 지방산이 42.02%이었고 6. 미더덕지질의 중성지질과 극성지질의 지방산 중에는 포화지방산이 각각 43.14%, 30.67%, monoenoic지방산이 각각 30.43%, 18.25%, polyenoic 지방산이 각각 26.43%, 50.22%,였다. 7. 미더덕 Ex분중의 유리아미노산의 주된 조성은 glycine 28.92%, alanine 19.62%, glutamic acid 14.33%, proline 9.57%으로 나타났다. This study was aimed to investigate the lipid and free amino acid components in mideuduck which is one of the local foods offered in the south coast of Korea. The results of the investigation are as follows: 1. Total lipid components contained in mideuduck is 16% and the Iodine Value is 157. 2. The lipids components by TLC is in order of polar lipids, monoglyceride, sterol and triglyceride from the baseline. 3. The total fatty acids composition in mideuduck is in order of ??(17.26%), ??(17.49%), ??(14.27%). 4. The fatty acids of neutral lipids in mideuduck consist mainly of ??(23.57%), ??(14.33%), ??(14.0%). The fatty acid of polarlipids consist mainly of ??(20.82%), ??(11.66%), and ??(11.19%) 5. The fatty acids in mideuduck consist of 22.92% saturated fatty acids, 32.89% monoenoic fatty acids, and 42.02% polyenoic fatty acids. 6. The components of neutral lipids and polar lipids in mideuduck are 43.14% and 30.67% saturated fatty acids, 30.43% and 18.25% monoenoic fatty acids, and 26.43% and 50.22% polyenoic fatty acids resectively. 7. The main components of free amino acids in the extract of mideuduck are 28.92% glycine, 19.62% alanine, 14.33% glutamic acid and 9.57% proline.

        복합기능(Multi-functional) 의상의 디자인에 관한 연구

        The specific purpose of this study was to investigate if it was feasible to design and execute garments that were multi-functional in purpose for women living in an expended world of social and occupational interaction which rerequired flexibility and convenience in their clothing appropriate to their multiple roles in society. The study was to carry out based on the selected situations(business situation-social situation and private situation-social situation) and designs deduced from the situations. The garments could permit flexibility in style through adjustable features which could be attached to , or detached from, the garment depending on the occasion and need of the wearer. As the results of the study, the characteristics of multi-functional garments were found as follows: First, the garments could bring about flexibility in garment formation through adjustable details, overlay and patch, in order to increase the multi-functional usage of the garments. Second, the style of garments could be expressed design images to meet the needs of flexibility and convenience for the various occassions. Third, the multi- functional garments could meet the needs for time and economic values for the women who play multple roles.
