γ-Secretase inhibitors which prevent Notch activation are emerging as potent therapeutics for various inflammatory diseases, including ischemic stroke and rheumatoid arthritis. However, their indiscriminate distribution in the body causes serious side effects after systemic administration, since Notch proteins are ubiquitous receptors that play an important role in cellular functions such as differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. In this study, hyaluronan nanoparticles (HA-NPs) bearing a γ-secretase inhibitor (DAPT) were prepared as potential therapeutics for rheumatoid arthritis. In vivo biodistribution of the DAPT-loaded HA-NPs (DNPs), labeled with near-infrared dye, were observed using a non-invasive optical imaging system after systemic administration to a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model. The results demonstrated that DNPs were effectively accumulated at the inflamed joint of the CIA mice. From the in vivo therapeutic efficacy tests, DNPs (1mg DAPT/kg) significantly attenuated the severity of RA induction compared to DAPT alone (2mg/kg), which was judged from clinical scores, tissue damage, and neutrophil infiltration. In addition, DNPs dramatically reduced the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IFN-γ, MCP-1, and IL-6, -12, -17) and collagen-specific auto-antibodies (IgG1 and IgG2a) in the serum of the CIA mice. These results suggest that DNPs have potential as therapeutics for rheumatoid arthritis.
The Oxidation of Odorants from Wastewater Sludge Using Four Different Oxidants

The odorants from wastewater sludge treated with four different chemical oxidants, i. e., potassium ferrate, sodium hypochlorite, sodium permanganate, and calcium nitrate, were analyzed. The release of odorants from the treated sludge was not completely eliminated, only retarded, possibly due to the low one time doseof oxidants. In a comparison of the concentration profiles of methyl mercaptan and dimethyl sulfide, calcium nitrate was the best of the four different oxidants at reducing their emission. For methyl mercaptan, calcium nitrate gave the best result, while for dimethyl sulfide, potassium permanganate was found to be the best oxidant. From this study, it was found that the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) would be an easy and inexpensive parameter for the monitoring of the release of offensive odors.

The teaching to letter and pronumciation is basic of language learning. Traditionally, knowledge of language is regard as grammar, so many people is hard and trouble. But this area is meaningful and significant. The differences are as follows: ◁표 삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) The difference of 'teaching to letter and pronuciation' for SK and NK is originated in purpose of education and a point of view. Thus we find out the differences in two educational process. First, the purpose of education for NK is construction for Party and Revolution. So the contents are constructed by Kim Ll-sung ideology. Second, the point of view to NK's knowledge of language education is theoretical value. But SK is regard as pratical value. Third, SK' process regard teaching method as important.

N-Alkylthebaine derivatives were synthesized by using northebaine. Northebiane was synthesized by the treatment of DAD to thebaine in acetonitrile. N-substituted thebaine derivatives were then obtained by alkylation of northebaine with alkyl halide and potassium carbonate in dimethylformamide solution. Intermediates of new thebaine derivatives were obtained through Hetero Diels-Alder reaction. In the Hetero Diels-Alder reaction, trifluoroacetaldehyde and N-alkylthebaine were used as a dienophile and a diene respectively. The new thebaine derivatives, also called as jndolornorphinan derivatives, were obtained through hydrolysis, reduction and then Fisher indole synthesis of the intermediates. Fisher indole synthesis of Cl4-substituted thebaine derivatives provides new jndolomorphinan derivatives. These new jndolomorphinan derivatives are potential canidates as acting pain killer.
