Image Blurring Estimation and Calibration with a Joint Transform Correlator

The Joint Transform Correlator (JTC) has been the most suitable technique for real time optical pattern recognition and target tracking applications. This paper proposes a new application of the JTC system for an analysis of the blurring effect of the optical images caused by a defocused lens. We present the relation between the correlation peak, optical transfer function (OTF), and the amount of blurring caused by focusing error. Moreover, we show a possibility of calibrating the blurred image by simply measuring the correlation peak.

고등학교 한문 교과서 현토의 문제점

This study is to point out errors in added postpositional words (APW) in the 7th Curriculum Sino-Korean textbooks for high schools. This study also presents how to correct the errors. Sino-Korean textbooks for high schools contain APWs. However, they do not show the exact meaning of sentences, and they are not suitable for reading. In addition, they can not sustain the original structure. Some parts are confusing to decide whether they are sentences with APWs or mixed sentences of Korean and Chinese. Therefore, I classified the errors of APWs into three categories: substantives, declinable words, and honorific titles. To correct the errors, I suggest two ways: i) agreement between pauses and APWs and ii) development and succession of traditional APWs. 본 연구는 제7차 교육과정 고등학교 한문교과서를 대상으로 현토문의 문제점을 지적하고 그 개선안을 제시하고자 하였다.고등학교 한문교과서에는 현토문을 수록하였는데 문장의 의미를 정확하게 반영하지 못하고, 읽기에도 적합하지 않으며, 한문 본래의 틀을 유지하지도 못하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 심지어 현토문인지 국한문 혼용문인지 구분하기 어려운 부분도 있다. 이에 본고는 현토의 문제점을 體言用言尊稱의 오류 등으로 구분하여 고찰하였다.아울러 이러한 문제점의 해결 방안으로 휴지(休止)와 토(吐)의 조화를 추구할 것, 전통적으로 사용해온 토를 발전적으로 계승할 것 등 두 가지를 제안하였다.

Coded Single Input Channel for Color Pattern Recognition in Joint Transform Correlator

Recently, we reported a single input channel joint transform correlator for the color pattern recognition which decomposes the input color image into three R, G, and B gray components and adds those components into a single gray image in the input plane. This technique has the merit of a single input channel instead of three input channels. However, we found this technique has some problems with discrimination impossibility in the case of a simple primary color pattern which results in the same gray level through the addition process. Thus, we propose a modified coding technique which selectively recombines the decomposed three R, G, and B gray components instead of the simple adding process. Simulated results show that the modified coding technique can accurately discriminate a variety of kinds of color images.

拙修齋 趙泰徵의 師門 辨誣 考察

Jolsujae (拙修齋) Cho Tae-jing was a respected figure who studied under Myungjae Yoon Jeung pursuing sincere learning and devout practice. Both his poems and Mansi (挽詩) and ritual texts written by his acquaintances to express condolences after his death were published as 『Jolsujaejip』 consisting of six volumes and three books. Later generations evaluated Jolsujae as a person who strived for virtuous deeds rather than writing. like the evaluation, the poems he left are plain, instructive, and sincere instead of being literature full of splendid rhetoric or unique ideas. From the perspective of literature, it is difficult to say that he made noteworthy achievements in his works in terms of the quantity and quality, but <Shinbyeon Myeongjae Seonsaeng Pimuso (伸卞明齋先生被誣疏)> contained in Volume 3 seems remarkable in the aspects of Cho Tae-jing’s own devotion to the master (師門; Samun), the full account of destructing 『Rhoseoyugo』, and the logic of responding to Hoenisibi (懷尼是非). Since Cho Tae-jing has not been noted in the academic world, this paper first introduces his life and studies, considers the full story of Samun Byeonmu (師門 辨誣 ), and then examines the significance of Jolsujae’s petition. Hoenisibi ended officially in 1716 through King Sukjong’s Disposition of Byeongsin (丙申處分). Pointing out the deeds of Yun Seon-geo including the father and son’s and the problems of 『Rhoseoyugo』, Shin Gu filed a petition, which led to the Disposition of Byeongsin after all. When Oh Myeong-jun (吳命峻), Eom Gyeong-su (嚴慶遂), and Lee Hong-je (李弘濟) supported Shin-gu’s raising of the issue, King Sukjong defined his position to agree with Oh Myung-jun and so on. Later, when Kim Chang-jip (金昌集) raised an objection again, King Sukjong changed his position and ordered them to destroy 『Rhoseoyugo』. Accordingly, Cho Tae-jing wrote a petition with his Samun to defend them; however, it was not delivered to King Sukjong, and Cho Tae-jing was imprisoned in Uigeumbu instead. Cho Tae-jing who failed to make a defense passed away the following year, and the resentment of his failure was included not only in his poems but in the writings of his acquaintances, too. Cho Tae-jing’s logic of defense is similar to that of those who defended Yoon Seon-geo and the father and son. However, he made more precise logic by securing richer evidence. His logic was not only influenced by the arguments of the predecessors but had influence over the advocacy of the latter generations for Samun. One evidence is that Yun Gwang-so (尹光紹) quoted Cho Tae-jing’s phrases just as they were in his petition. Meanwhile, Cho Tae-jing argued that those who attacked Yoon Seon-geo and the father and son ignored the overall context of the article and drew up the report by selecting only the sentences they needed. However, he showed that limitation, too, as he used the same means. 졸수재 조태징은 진실한 학문과 독실한 실천을 추구한 인물로 명재 윤증의 문하에서 존경받았다. 그가 남긴 詩文, 그리고 그의 死後에 지인들이 애도의 뜻을 담아 지은 挽詩 및 祭文이 6권 3책의 『졸수재유고』로 간행되었다. 후인들은 졸수재를 文辭보다는 德行에 힘쓴 인물로 평가하였다. 평가가 대변하듯 그의 詩文은 화려한 수사나 독특한 발상의 문예적 특징보다는 투박하지만 교훈적이며 진솔함이 두드러진다. 문학적으로는 작품의 양과 질의 측면에서 주목할 만한 성취를 이루었다고 보기 어려운데, 권3에 수록된 <伸卞明齋先生被誣疏>는 조태징 본인의 師門을 위한 헌신, 『노서유고』 毁板의 顚末, 懷尼是非의 대응 논리 등의 측면에서 주목할 만한 글이다. 조태징은 그동안 학계에서 주목하지 않았던 인물이기에 본고는 그의 생애와 학문을 먼저 소개하고, 그의 소장을 중심으로 師門 辨誣의 顚末을 고찰한 다음 졸수재의 소장이 가지는 의의를 살펴보았다. 회니시비는 1716년 숙종의 이른바 丙申處分을 통해 공식적으로는 일단락되었다. 尹宣擧 부자의 행적과 『노서유고』의 문제점을 지적하여 申球가 상소하였는데 이 일이 병신처분의 발단이 되었다. 신구의 문제 제기에 대해 吳命峻, 嚴慶遂, 李弘濟 등이 옹호하자 숙종은 오명준 등의 주장이 옳다는 입장이었다. 이후 金昌集이 다시 반론을 제기하자 숙종은 입장을 바꾸어 『노서유고』의 훼판을 지시하였다. 이에 조태징이 同門들과 함께 소장을 지어 辨誣에 나섰으나 소장은 숙종에게 전달되지 않았고 조태징은 의금부에 투옥되었다. 변무에 실패한 조태징은 이듬해 운명하였으며 실패의 한은 그의 시문뿐 아니라 지인들의 글에도 담겼다. 조태징의 변무 논리는 윤선거 부자를 옹호했던 사람들의 논리와 유사하다. 그러나 그는 보다 풍부한 근거 자료를 확보하여 정밀한 논리를 만들었다. 그의 논리는 앞 사람들의 주장에서 영향을 받은 동시에 후인들의 師門 옹호에 영향을 끼쳤다. 尹光紹의 소장에서 조태징이 사용한 표현이 그대로 원용된 점이 하나의 증거이다. 무엇보다 회니시비의 전말을 이해하는 데 매우 중요한 자료이다.

금강 선유 한시 연구

충남의 공주는 현재 인구 10만 정도의 소도시이다. 하지만 전통시대에는 백제의 고도, 군사적 요충지, 교통의 요지로 명성이 높았다. 뿐만 아니라 충청감영의 소재지로서 군사ㆍ행정적으로 중시되었다. 공주의 금강은 계룡산과 함께 공주를 대표하는 산천의 하나였다. 서해로부터 강줄기를 따라 상류까지 물자 수송의 중요한 수로였을 뿐만 아니라 경기와 호남을 오가는 이들의 왕래가 잦았다. 게다가 공산성과 어우러져 빼어난 경관을 형성함으로써 船遊地로도 유명하였다. 교량이 건설되고 육상 교통이 발달함에 따라 금강에서의 뱃놀이 모습을 기억하는 사람은 많지 않다. 오히려 현재 금강의 모습만으로 본다면 뱃놀이가 가능했을까 하는 의구심마저 생긴다. 하지만 금강에서 지어진 많은 한시 작품들은 주변의 빼어난 경관에 감탄을 자아내고 있으며, 화려했던 뱃놀이 모습도 생생하게 묘사하였다. 전통시대 공주가 겪은 장소 경험을 일일이 언급할 수는 없지만 백제의 고도, 仁祖의 駐蹕은 대단히 의미 있는 경험이다. 무령왕릉을 비롯한 유물유적, 그리고 公山城의 雙樹亭과 雙樹亭事蹟碑는 공주라는 장소가 겪은 의미 있는 경험을 오랫동안 지속적이며 반복적으로 사람들에게 전달하는 매개체가 되었다. 계룡산 역시 국립공원으로 지정되어 갑사나 동학사를 비롯한 사찰을 찾는 이들과 등산을 목적으로 탐방에 나서는 발길이 이어진다. 그러나 금강은 전통시대 공주를 대표하는 경관이었음에도 불구하고 그 명성과 옛 모습을 오늘에 전달해줄 매개체가 부족한 실정이다. 본고는 사람들의 기억에서 사라져가는 금강의 선유 모습을 한시 속에서 찾아내어 공주의 중요한 장소였던 금강의 모습을 살펴보고자 하였다. 금강에서의 선유는 공산성 주변에서 이루어지는 경우와 부여의 백마강까지 찾아가는 경우가 있었다. 前者를 近遊, 後者를 遠遊로 구분하여 船遊가 이루어진 장소, 규모, 시인들의 감성을 검토하였다. 선유는 유람이라는 목적이 있기 때문에 같은 장소에서 지어진 한시들에 비해 장소의 특성을 반영하기보다는 유흥을 담고 있는 경우가 많았다. 공주와 부여는 백제의 고도이며 빼어난 경관을 갖추었다는 공통점이 있지만 백제의 멸망에 대한 상심의 정도는 백마강 유람에서 지어진 한시에 더 짙게 나타났다. Gongju in Chungcheongnam-do is now a small town with a population of about 100,000. However, it was renowned for its ancient, military, and transportation points during the Baekje era. In addition, it was considered military/administrative as the site of the Chungcheong Provincial Office. The Geumgang River in Gongju was one of the representative mountains and streams of Gongju along with Mt. Gyeryongsan. It was not only an important waterway for the transport of goods from the Yellow Sea to the upstream of the river, but also a place where they frequently traveled to and from Gyeonggi and Jeolla provinces. It was also famous for its historical site, as it combined with Gongsansong Fortress to form a magnificent view. Not many people remember the sight of boating on the Geumgang River as bridges were built and land transportation developed. Rather, it raises doubts that boating may have been possible based on the current appearance of the Geumgang River. However, many poem created on the Geumgang River are admired for the outstanding scenery around it and vividly depict even the spectacular boating scenes. Although it is difficult to mention the experience of Gongju in the traditional era, the ancient city of Baekje, the stopover of King Injo, is a very meaningful experience. This became a medium for the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong and other relics, as well as the Ssangsujeong and the Ssangsujeong Memorial Stone of Gongsansong Fortress, to convey to people the meaningful experience of Gongju for a long time continuously and repeatedly. Mt. Gyeryongsan is also designated as a national park, so visitors to the temple, including Gapsa and Donghaksa, visit the temple for hiking purposes. Despite the fact that Geumgang was the scenery representing the traditional Gongju, however, it lacks the medium to deliver its fame and its ancient form today. The study sought to find the boating in the Geumgang River in the poem, which is disappearing from the memory of the people, and examine the image of the Geumgang River, which was an important place in Gongju. Boating in the Geumgang River was sometimes carried out around Gongsansong Fortress and even to Baekmagang River in Buyeo. The sensibility of the places, sizes and poets where boating occurred was reviewed by separating the former as Geunyoo and the latter as Wonyoo. Boating often contains entertainment rather than reflecting the characteristics of the place compared to the poem written at the same place because it has cruising purposes. Gongju and Buyeo are Baekje’s ancient cities and have a great view in common, however, the degree of mourning for the fall of Baekje is more apparent in the Chinese poem written during the cruising of Baekmagang River.

영상의 Blurring 효과에 따른 JTC 시스템의 광 패턴 분석

Joint transform correlator(JTC) is a well known optical method for a pattern recognition. The JTC optically compares the reference image with the sample image, and then examines match or mismatch by acquiring a correlation peaks. We present the image blurring effect on the pattern recognition using the JTC system, and also the characteristics of discrimination ability of the given patterns caused by the image blurring.

3차원 영상의 색상분석 및 보정에 관한 연구

색상의 분석 및 보정을 위한 새로운 방식을 제안한다. 새로운 방식은 기존의 단순한 색상의 합성 과정 대신에 적색, 녹색, 청색의 성분을 재결합하는 방식을 사용한다. 최종 결과에서는 다양한 색상의 영상을 정밀하게 분석한 내용을 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 결합 변환 상관기(JTC)를 사용하여 색상을 분석하였으며 일반적인 3차원 물체 뿐 아니라 기본 색상에 대하여도 분석 가능함을 보인다. 3차원 영상의 색상 분석 및 보정을 위하여 다시점 카메라 랜더링 방법을 도입하였다.
