Vanadium, a dietary micronutrient, has been reported to present interesting biological and pharmacological properties, including superoxide and nitric oxide scavenging effects. Low-dose ionizing radiation (LDR) is known to damage DNA and cause apoptosis of peripheral immunocytes by producing reactive oxygen species (ROS). The aim of this study was to elucidate the capacity of immune activation of Jeju water containing vanadium on immunosuppression caused by LDR. We examined the ROS production, DNA damage, cell apoptosis and proliferation of peripheral immunocytes in irradiated mice drinking different concentrations for 90 days; V0 (vanadium 0㎍/L, control), V1 (vanadium 15~20㎍/ L) and V2 (vanadium 20∼25㎍/L). Compared to V0 control where level of ROS showed tendency to increase, the ROS production was attenuated in peripheral immunocytes of irradiated mice drinking V1 and V2. DNA damage of peripheral immunocytes triggered by LDR significantly increased in mice drinking V0 compared to non-irradiated control, whereas V1 and V2 dramatically induced remission of DNA damage. On the observation of apoptosis of peripheral immunocytes, V1 and V2 showed the potency to reduce the number of apoptotic cells. On the other hand irradiated mice drinking V0 exhibited raised number of apoptotic cells. From the results obtained, we speculated that Jeju water containing vanadium (V1 and V2) has a potential role in decreasing DNA damage and apoptosis of immune cell by inhibiting ROS production. Consistent with this, Jeju water containing vanadium (V1 and V2) exhibits a capacity to enhance cell proliferation of peripheral immunocytes, which is suppressed by LDR as shown in V0 control. Collectively, Jeju water containing vanadium reduced DNA damage and apoptosis and induced the stimulatory potential on immunocytes. Theseresults suggest that Jeju water containing vanadium sustained immune activities under immunosuppression caused by LDR.

신경회로망을 사용하여 학습에 의해 ATM망에서 서비스 quatity제어를 하도록 했다. ATM에서는 입력traffic 특성이 매우 다양한 multimedia traffic형태를 취하고 있으므로 망제어기는 입력의 상황변화에 유효 적절하게 대처해야 한다. 신경회로망의 많은 뉴론을 사용하여 여러가지 망의 제어함수 값을 역전파(Bark-Propagation)시키면서 입력 traffic과 서비스quality관계를 학습하여 입력 traffic의 변화를 다양한 traffic이 혼합되어 입력될 때 적절히 대처하도록 했다. 본 연구에서는 두종류의 서로다른 traffic이 ATM망에 입력되었을 때 망의 여러가지 함수를 학습하여 요구되는 서비스 quality를 유지하도록 망제어기를 구현했다. SUN SPARC Station 1+에서 SLAM Ⅱ를 사용하여 시뮬레이션했다. For service quality control, we describe a learning methode using neural network in the Asynchronous Transfer Model(ATM) communications network. Because the variety characteristics of the source traffic are not known and the service quality requirements change over time, building an efficient network controller which can control the network traffic is a difficult task. In the suggested methode we use back-propagation Neural Networks for the learning the relations between the offered traffic and service quallity. Two bit-rate classes are considerd in the simulation. The controlled cell loss rate the decision boundary learned by the Neural Network are represented as the result. The proposed control method using Neural Network is suitable for variety situations, because Neural Network can adaptively control the parameter by learning the relation between the offerd traffic characteristics and service qualities. The effectiveness of the methode is demonstrated by its application to basic call admission control. Using SUN SPARC station 1^(+), SLAMⅡ, we simulated the ATM traffic control model.

<P>A new and mild synthetic approach for the N-arylation of 2-pyridones with diaryliodonium salts has been developed. Most reactions proceed readily at room temperature in the presence of 10 mol % of copper chloride. As a result, a wide range of N-arylpyridine-2-ones were synthesized in yields of 23% to 99%. With this method, an antifibrotic drug, Pirfenidone, was successfully synthesized in 99% yield within 30 min at room temperature.</P>
교통 CCTV 영상 로그 분석을 통한 실시간 차량 속도 및 교통량 측정 정확도 향상 연구

고속도로의 속도 및 교통량 측정을 위해서는 각 구간마다 여러 센서를 설치하여 데이터를 수집한다. 본 연구에서는 영상 내 도로의 형태를 실시간적으로 자기 학습하고 도로 차선 별 속도와 교통량을 측정하기 위해 교통 CCTV 영상을 활용한다. 각 도로 구간을 촬영한 교통 영상에서 추출한 이동 객체 로그에서 영상 내 도로형태를 학습하고 학습된 차선 별 속도 및 교통량을 실시간에 측정한다. 또한 이미지 처리에서 발생한 이동 객체 로그의 에러를 검출하고 이를 보정하여 속도 및 교통량 측정의 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 방법을 제시하고자 한다. Various sensors are installed in each section of a highway in order to measure the traffic speed and volume of the highway. This research uses real-time traffic CCTV videos to measure the traffic speed and volume. It identifies the shape of the traffic lane displayed in the CCTV videos by a self-learning method. The shape of traffic lane is learned from the moving objects log extracted from the video. Subsequently, the traffic speed and volume of the each lane are measured in real-time. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the accuracy of traffic speed and volume measurement by detecting and correcting the errors of image processing for CCTV videos.
