        Pulmonary blastoma is a very rare primary neoplasm of the lung. We experienced a case of pulmonary blastoma in a 40 years old man. The mediobasal segmentectomy of the right lower lobe was performed. The patient was discharge on the postoperative days 6. There is no evidence of recurrence or metastasis on followup study during 7 months period after operation.

        The primary objective of this research program is to provide a fundmental mechanism of involved reactions using a modified upflow and downflow multistage perked bed bioreactor. As a first stage of this reaserch program, the following theoretical principles was applied. 1) Principle of electroneutrality where the molar concentrations of cation and anion in solution are the same. 2) Relationship between the concentration of bicarbonate anion and pH as follows [HCO_3^]=K_11P_TY_(CO_2)10^(pH-K1) Based upon the above two principles, a series of experimental works was conducted to elucidated the relationship between the concentration of CO2 and pH related in the concentrations of cations and anions.

        The efficiency of a competitive market equilibrium depends on all of the decentralized decision-makers having full information. The market mechanism itself plays an informational role by conveying information in the form of relative prices to decision-makers about the relative costs and benefits of different actions. It is obvious that perfect insurance and financial markets of the type required for pareto optimality do not exist on practice. It is useful to consider the reasons why insurance and financial markets may fail to exist and why those that do exist may not exploit all of the mutual benefits to risk-sharing. Two types of informational externalities impede the functioning of insurance and financial markets, generally referred to as adverse selection and moral hazard. One way to distinguish between adverse selection and moral hazard is to remember that adverse selection in a problem of asymmetric information before entering into a transaction, whereas moral hazard is a problem of asymmetric information after the transaction has occurred. The problems created by adverse selection and moral hazard are an important impediment to well functioning insurance and financial markets, so market failure occurs because of those problems. Hence the purpose of this paper is to examine and analysis the problems of adverse selection and moral hazard, and then to seek the economically corresponding schemes of asymmetric information from adverse selection and moral hazard. For this purpose, this paper consists of four major sections Chapter Ⅰ involves the necessity, the purpose of this study. Chapter Ⅱ. explains the nature of risk, peril and hazard. In chapter Ⅲ. this paper will analysis the market failure from the asymmetric information of adverse selection and moral hazard. Also it explains the theoretical models of moral hazard. Finally chapter Ⅳ offers the economically corresponding schemes of the problems from adverse selection and moral hazard, and the conclusion. That is, there are some solutions such as lump-sum tax-financed subsidies on locks·burglar and smoke alarms, private production and sale of information, government regulation, financial intermediation, collateral and net worth, monitoring and enforcement of restrictive covenants etc.

      • Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors versus angiotensin II receptor blockers in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction patients with diabetes mellitus undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is an important factor of adverse cardiovascular events in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) inhibitors is associated with improved clinical outcomes, however, there are limited data comparing the effectiveness of two different RAAS inhibitors in STEMI patients with DM undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug-eluting stents (DES).</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>A total of 3811 eligible STEMI patients with DM were enrolled in Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry (KAMIR). They were stratified into two groups: Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) group (n=2691) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) group (n=1120). To adjust baseline confounding factors, we performed propensity score matching (PSM) analysis and evaluated individual and composite major clinical outcomes between the two groups up to 2years.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>After PSM, a total of 1049 well-matched pairs were generated. Baseline clinical, angiographic and procedural characteristics were well-balanced between the two groups. The incidence of death, recurrent myocardial infarction (MI), revascularization and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) were not significantly different between the two groups up to 2years,</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>In the present study, ACEI and ARB showed comparable effectiveness and safety on individual and composite clinical outcomes in STEMI patients with DM who underwent successful PCI with DES at least up to 2years.</P>

        A Study on the Block Shear Strength according to the Layer Composition of and Adhesive Type of Ply-Lam CLT(Ply-Lam CLT의 층재 구성 및 접착제 종류에 따른 블록전단강도에 관한 연구)

        본 연구에서는 공학목재로 목구조건축에 주로 사용되는 집성재 및 CLT 그리고 Ply-lam CLT의 블록전단시험을 실시하여 강도 및 파괴 유형을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 Ply-lam CLT의 라미나 및 합판의 수종, 접착제의 종류 및 Layer구성 등 최적생산을 위한 제조조건을 구명하고자 하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 블록전단시험을 통해 집성재, Ply-lam CLT, CLT 순으로 높은 강도를 나타냈다. 특히, 낙엽송 합판과 낙엽송 라미나의 복합구조로 제조되는 Ply-lam CLT의 전단강도는 집성재 전단강도 기준인 7.1 N/mm<sup>2</sup>을 통과하였다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 집성재, CLT, Ply-lam 접착에 사용된 접착제 종류에 따른 전단강도의 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 Ply-lam CLT의 경우에는 라미나와 합판의 수종에 따라 Ply-lam CLT의 전단강도의 차이를 나타냈다. 그 결과는 낙엽송 > 남양재 ≒ 육송 합판 순으로 높은 강도를 나타났다. Ply-lam CLT의 최적구성은 낙엽송 합판과 낙엽송 라미나를 사용하는 경우이며 접착제는 용도에 따라 PRF, PUR을 선정하여 사용하면 될 것으로 판단된다. 목질재료 유형에 따른 전단강도 파괴 양상 결과 분석을 통하여 집성재는 shear parallel-to-grain, CLT는 rolling shear, Ply-lam CLT는 shear parallel-to-grain과 rolling shear가 복합적으로 나타났다. 이는 전단강도 결과와 밀접한 관련이 있으며 rolling shear로 인하여 CLT보다 Ply-lam CLT에서 더 높은 전단 강도를 나타내는 것으로 판단된다. In this study, a block shear strength test was conducted to compare and analyze the strength and failure mode on the glued laminated timber, CLT, and Ply-lam CLT, which are mainly used for the construction of wood construction as engineering wood. Through this, the Ply-lam CLT manufacturing conditions for optimum production, such as the type of lamina, plywood, adhesive, and layer composition, were investigated. The results are as follow. Through block shear strength test, it showed high strength in the order of glued laminated timber, Ply-lam CLT and CLT. In particular, the shear strength of Ply-lam CLT, which is made of a composite structure of larch plywood and larch lamina, passed 7.1 N/mm<sup>2</sup>, which is a Korean industrial standards for block shear strength of structural glued laminated timber. In addition, in this study, there was no different in shear strength according to the adhesive type used for glulam, CLT, and Ply-lam CLT adhesion. However, in the case of Ply-lam CLT, the difference in shear strength of Ply-lam CLT was shown according to the type of lamina and plywood. The results showed high strength in the order of Larix kaempferi > Mixed light hardwood ≒ Pinus densiflora, sieb, et, Zucc plywood. The optimal configuration of Ply-lam CLT is when larch plywood and larch lamina are used, and it is decided that the adhesive can be used by selecting PRF and PUR according to the application. The results of block shear strength failure mode by type of wood based materials were analyzed. The failure mode showed shear parallel-to-grain for glulam, rolling shear for CLT, and shear parallel-to-grain and rolling for ply-lam CLT. This is closely related to shear strength results and is decided to indicate higher shear strength in Ply-lam CLT than in CLT due to rolling shear.

        Polarized Light-Emitting Diodes Based on Patterned MoS<sub>2</sub> Nanosheet Hole Transport Layer

        <P>Here, this study successfully fabricates few-layer MoS2 nanosheets from (NH4)(2)MoS4 and applies them as the hole transport layer as well as the template for highly polarized organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The obtained material consists of polycrystalline MoS2 nanosheets with thicknesses of 2 nm. The MoS2 nanosheets are patterned by rubbing/ion-beam treatment. The Raman spectra shows that {poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-alt-benzothiadiazole), poly[(9,9-di-n-octylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-alt-(benzo[2,1,3]thiadiazol-4,8-diyl)]} (F8BT) on patterned MoS2 exhibits distinctive polarization behavior. It is discovered that patterned MoS2 not only improves the device efficiency but also changes the polarization behavior of the devices owing to the alignment of F8BT. This work demonstrates a highly efficient polarized OLED with a polarization ratio of 62.5:1 in the emission spectrum (166.7:1 at the peak intensity of 540 nm), which meets the manufacturing requirement. In addition, the use of patterned MoS2 nanosheets not only tunes the polarization of the OLEDs but also dramatically improves the device performance as compared with that of devices using untreated MoS2.</P>

        Evaluation of Flexural Performance According to the Plywood Bonding Method of Ply-Lam CLT(Ply-lam CLT의 합판 접합방식에 따른 휨 성능 평가)

        본 연구에서는 층재 수종과 길이방향의 합판 접합방식과 접합부의 접착제 도포 여부에 따른 휨 성능 및 파괴 양상 분석을 통하여 합판을 코어로 사용한 CLT에 적합한 합판의 접합 방식을 최적화 하고자 하였다. 더글라스 퍼 층재의 경우 길이방향 접합에 의해 휨탄성계수 약 11.5% 감소, 휨강도는 접착제 도포 및 접합방식에 따라 증가 또는 감소하였다. 접착제 미도포 butt joint, 접착제 도포 half lap joint, butt joint 조건이 최적조건으로 도출 되었다. 낙엽송 층재의 경우 길이방향 접합에 의해 휨강도는 약 15%, 휨탄성계수는 약 40% 감소하였으며 접합방식에 따른 차이를 나타내지 않았다. half lab joint와 tongue & groove joint 사용 시 합판 층의 접합부에서 휨에 파괴를 1차적으로 방지해줌으로써 중층의 층재로 전달되는 하중을 감소시켜 주는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 Ply-lam CLT 제조과정에서 낙엽송 층재를 사용하는 경우 접합방법에 따른 차이를 나타내지 않았으며 더글라스퍼 층재를 사용할 경우 butt joint와 half lap 접합 방식이 적합할 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study is to optimize the bonding method of the plywood suitable for cross-laminated timber (CLT) with plywood as a core by analyzing the flexural performance and failure mode according to the lamina species, the method of bonding plywood in the longitudinal direction, and whether or not adhesive is applied to the joint. In the case of the Douglas fir lamina layer, the modulus of elasticity decreased by about 11.5% due to longitudinal bonding, and the modulus of rupture increased or decreased according to the adhesive application and bonding method. The optimal conditions were derived as the butt joint without adhesive, half lap joint with adhesive, and butt joint. In the case of the larch lamina layer, the modulus of rupture and the modulus of elasticity decreased by about 15% and 40%, respectively. When using the half lab joint and tongue & groove joint, it is believed that it reduces the load transmitted to the middle layer by primarily preventing the failure on flexure at the joint of the plywood layer. From the results of this study, the larch lamina layer used in the manufacturing process of Ply-lam CLT did not show any difference based on the bonding method. Butt joint and half lap joint bonding method are determined to be suitable when using Douglas fir lamina layer.
