Granuloma annulare (GA) is a common non-infectious granulomatous disease. Generalized GA is the second most common variant of GA. It is often associated with recalcitrant disease progression despite treatment. The lesion of generalized GA typically presents widespread papules that coalesce to form annular plaques over the whole body. We report a case of a patient with disseminated papules and coalescing annular plaques, primarily involving the intertriginous area and mimicking tinea corporis or cruris. Histopathological findings confirmed the lesion as GA. This case underscored the unusual clinical presentation of generalized GA. A case of GA localized to the intertriginous area has rarely been reported. Given the recalcitrant nature of the disease, dermatologists should consider generalized GA as a differential diagnosis in patients with an annular lesion involving the intertriginous area. Thus, we report this as an atypical case of generalized GA localized to the intertriginous area. (Korean J Dermatol 2021;59(10):797∼800)

목적: Demonstrate a new instrument, technique or procedure 방법: In this video, we showed how to remove huge ovarian tumors in sinlgel port laparoscopic surgery by SW KIM`s method. SW KIM`s method is the technique to put a huge ovarian tumor into a specially designed extremely large endopouch (XXXL: 30x30㎠sized) using two conventional laparoscopic needle holders and one laparoscopic grasper and gravity by changing the patient`s position. After identifying the infundibulopelvic and uteroovarian ligaments salpingooophorectomy including huge ovarian tumor was performed by LigaSure. And then ovarian tumor was located in the pelvic cavity by changing the patient`s position into reverse-trendelenberg position and a XXXL endopouch was inserted and un-rolled inside the abdominal cavity. To insert a huge tumor into the XXXL endopouch, the endopouch was opened in triangular shape. Bilateral apex of baseline of trianglular opening of the endopouch was hold by two needle holders and then the upper apex was hold by a grasper. After holding three point of endopouch opeing, the patient`s position was changed into deep trendelenberg postion, then the tumor came into the endopouch by gravity. While changing the patient`s position, 2 needle holders and a graspers were moved into the pelvic cavity from the abdominal cavity. Aftere identifying the tumor inside the endopouch, tumors could be removed through the single port opening site or transvaginally in laparoscopic hysterectomy case without spillage of ovarian tumor. 결과: The advantage of SW KIM`s method is to remove ovarian tumor without spillage in a single port laparoscopic surgery by putting it into the large endoscopic bag despite narrow space. 결론: Using a specially designed 30×30 cm sized XXXL Endopouch and SW Kim`s technique, huge ovarian tumors could be removed without spillage in single port laparoscopic surgery.

This research investigates the impact of charge spreading on the data retention of three-dimensional (3D) silicon-oxide-nitride-oxide-silicon (SONOS) flash memory where the charge trapping layer is shared along the cell string. In order to do so, this study conducts an electrical analysis of the planar SONOS test pattern where the silicon nitride charge storage layer is not isolated but extends beyond the gate electrode. Experimental results from the test pattern show larger retention loss in the devices with extended storage layers compared to isolated devices. This retention degradation is thought to be the result of an additional charge spreading through the extended silicon nitride layer along the width of the memory cell, which should be improved for the successful 3-D application of SONOS flash devices.

In this paper, we investigate visible light stress instability in radio frequency (RF) sputtered a-IGZO thin film transistors (TFTs). The oxygen flow rate differs during deposition to control the concentration of oxygen vacancies, which is confirmed via RT PL. A negative shift is observed in the threshold voltage ($V_{TH}$) under illumination with/without the gate bias, and the amount of shift in $V_{TH}$ is proportional to the concentration of oxygen vacancies. This can be explained to be consistent with the ionization oxygen vacancy model where the instability in $V_{TH}$ under illumination is caused by the increase in the channel conductivity by electrons that are photo-generated from oxygen vacancies, and it is maintained after the illumination is removed due to the negative-U center properties.
Identifying the Hierarchical Value Map of a Washing Machine using Laddering Technique

Objective: The aim of this study is to present the product designing process that reflects user’s affective value in the perspective of user experience. Background: The user experience is the important issue rising in the product design area. However, there is lack of methods to identify and analyze the user experience factors. Method: In the first stage, the system characteristics and context of use for the product are analyzed, and the user needs are gathered. The second stage connects the elements considered in the first stage to construct a relation matrix. In the third stage, the hierarchical value map is visualized based on the relation matrix. Results: To validate the proposed method, the case study on washing machine was performed. We defined three elements of user experience for the control panel of a washing machine: 18 system properties, 27 contexts of use, 11 values. Each element was connected to others based on the relationship between the elements. Conclusion: ‘Accuracy’, ‘aesthetics’, ‘compatibility’, ‘easy-to-understand’, and ‘durability’ were revealed as the key values. Application: The study proposed ways to understand the relationship among the user value for products, physical properties and the context of use of the product.

In this paper, we investigated the anomalous hump in the bottom gate staggered a-IGZO TFTs. During the positive bias stress, a positive threshold voltage shift was observed in the transfer curve and an anomalous hump occurred as the stress time increased. The hump became more serious in higher gate bias stress while it was not observed under the negative bias stress. The analysis of constant gate bias stress indicated that the anomalous hump was influenced by the migration of positively charged mobile interstitial zinc ion towards the top side of the a-IGZO channel layer.

의료용으로 사용되고 있는 고분자는 체내에 적용했을 경우 초기의 염증반응이 종종 문제점으로 대두되며, 이는 면역세포의 활성산소의 배출과 관련되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 부작용을 해결하기 위해 항산화제를 필름표면에 코팅하여 활성산소 발생 저해에 의한 항염증 효과를 평가하고자 하였다. Macrophage에 의한 염증 효과를 평가한 결과, 항산화제가 코팅된 polylactic acid 필름에서 pro-inflammatory cytokine의 생성이 저해됨을 확인하였다. 또한 항산화제 코팅 시 코팅제로 사용되는 고분자의 종류 및 분자량에 따른 방출 거동을 관찰한 결과, 고분자의 종류 및 분자량에 따라 항산화제의 방출 제어가 가능하였다. 이는 항염증 반응에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 항산화제 코팅 polylactic acid 필름을 제조함으로써 다양하고 광범위한 체내용도 전개가 가능할 것으로 생각된다. Polylactic acid (PLA) films have been widely used in medical devices for surgical treatments. However, their use has been associated with complications, such as inflammation around the PLA film implant area. Several antioxidant agents have been incorporated on the surface of PLA films to suppress initial excessive inflammatory reactions through the quenching of reactive oxygen species (ROS) released from macrophages. The suppression of inflammation was evaluated by measuring the levels of various pro-inflammatory cytokines produced by the macrophages. In addition, by measuring quercetin release behavior, we determined the optimum type and molecular weight of the film coating polymer for the effective suppression of inflammation. These results suggest that the incorporation and controlled release of quercetin could be a promising method to reduce inflammation induced by PLA films.

The nitric oxide(NO) is a major factor contri buting to t he loss of neurons in ischemic st roke. demyelina t ing diseases, and other neurodegenerative di sorders . But it is known that NO is not function ing as a direct neurotoxin. NO combined with superoxide(02-) by the diffusion-contl'O ll ed reaction, formed a peroxin it ri te anion (ONOO-)‘ which this s pecies has been shown to contribute to oxidative s igna ling and damage. ONOO stimuJates apoptosis in many cell types. whether ONOO acts direct ly as an ox idant 0 1' the induction of apoptosis is because of the radicals derived from ONOO- decompositi on . But. the mecha ni sm by which ONOO- induces apoptosis is un clear although subsequent forrnation 0 1' reactive oxygen s pecies(ROS) has been suggested in a few reports The aim of this study is to investigate the a nti -apoptotic pathway by inhibi tion 0 1' ONOO synthesis t hrough scavenging of ROS us ing s pecific wavelength 0 1' light irradiation . The present study investi gated the a nti -apop totic effect of the specific wavelength 0 1' irradi ation in Sodium Nitroprusside(SNP) t reated SJ-I-SY5Y ceJls, by MTT, DNA fragmentation, and flow cytometric assay and th rough western blot and caspase-3, -9 activity assay for confirmation of caspase pathway. Also. NO reJease and ROS leveJ was measured in order to observe the changes of NO involved in radical by Griess reaction analysis and DCF'-DH. Results showed that the cell viability were r educed by about 50% of control group by SNP treatment, but re covered to about 80% by 590nm irradiation . The apoptotic cells were observed by flow cytomet ry and DNA fra g mentation assay in SNP-treated group‘ but 590nm irradiation led apoptotic feature to be reduced . Released NO a nd ROS level were increased after SNP treatment but ROS level was dec reased in 590nm irradi at ion - treated group, in spite of high NO concentration fo llowing SNP treatment Also. SNP t reatment led cytochrom C release but 590nm irraidiation inhibit it, hence the expression 0 1' caspase-3 and -9 was dec reased sign ificantly‘ These results showed that 590nm irradiation protect neuronal death thl'Ough bl ocking of NO-induced mi tochondri al apoptotic pathway. Also, it suggests that specific wavelength of irradi ation was used for prevent ion from neurodegenerative disordcr progression
