        한방약물로부터 항고지혈증 치료약물개발(I) -수종 한약재의 항고지혈증 활성검색-

        Twenty-four Oriental herbal medicines including Platycodi Radix and Scutellariae Radix, etc., which have been used for the cure of hyperlipidemia, coronary heart, disease were evaluated for the 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A(HMG-CoA) reductase inhibition and antioxidant effect on a free radical, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) in vitro, and antihyperlipidemic effect on hyperlipidemic rats induced by Triton WR-1339 in vivo. 80% MeOH extract of eight herbs including Scutellariae Radix, Coptidis Rhizoma, Paeoniae Radix Rubra, Moutan Cortex Radicis, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam, Cinnamomi Ramulus and Crataegi Fructus inhibited the HMG-CoA reductase activities and exhibited a radical-trapping action on a stable free radical, DPPH. On Triton WR-1339-induced hyperlipidemic rats, four herbs including Scutellariae Radix, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam and Cinnamomi Ramulus showed respectively the significant suppression of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, phospholipid and LDL-cholesterol levels and serum transaminase(ALT and AST) activities. From these results, it is suggested that each 80% MeOH extract of Scutellariae Radix, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam and Cinnamomi Ramulus have effective antihyperlipidemic action against hyperlipidemia.

        In the previous reports, we selected 80% MeOH extract of 7 herbs including Scutellariae Radix(SR), Paeoniae Radix Rubra(PRR), Moutan Cortex(MC), Angelicae Gigantis Radix(AGR), Crataegi Fructus(CF), Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam(BCT) and Cinnamomi Ramulus(CR), which exhibited the inhibitory effect on HMG-CoA reductase and DPPH free radical scavenging effect in vitro, and antihyperlipidemic effects on antihyperlipidemic rats induced by Triton WR 1339 in vivo. Among them, SR, MC, AGR and BCT showed significant suppression of elevated serum LDL-cholesterol level, and AGR and CF showed significant liver weight increase on high cholesterol diet induced hyperlipidemic mice. And, SR, PRR, AGR, BCT and CR significantly suppressed the elevated serum total cholesterol and triglyceride levels on corn oil induced hyperlipidemic rats. Then, in order to research new antihyperlipidemic agents from the oriental medicinal herbs, we chose SR, AGR, CR and BCT which have the antihyperlipidemic effect in vitro and in vivo, and those herbs were systematically fractionated with organic solvent. EtOAc fraction of SR, hexane fraction of BCT, AGR and chloroform fraction of CR exhibited remarkably inhibitory effect on HMG-CoA reductase activity.

        지황(地黃)의 품질평가

        The dried roots of Rehmannia glutinosa (RG) have been used in the traditional medicine for treatment of diabetes, fever and dysuria, etc. In order to investigate the quality evaluation of the dried roots of RG, we conducted the physico-chemical and biological evaluation method. The amount of catalpol from commercial samples is very diverse about $0.00{\sim}3.89%$ by using HPLC method, because it is easily decomposed by processing of RG. So, we should try to identify the correlation with the contents of catalpol and biological activities of RG. We chose 3 samples which were a wide difference of catalpol contents between each sample (Sample-I; 3.4%, Sample-II; 2.8%, Sample-III; 0.05%). Sample-I and Sample-II were found to be more effective than Sample-III on the DPPH free radical scavenging effect and inhibitory effect on $H_2O_2-catalyzed$ lipid peroxidation in rat liver in vitro. And, Sample-I and Sample-II exhibited more significant effects than Sample-III on accelerating actions of the small and large intestinal transport, and diuretic action in mice. So, it is suggested that the quantitative determination of catalpol should be required for the tandardization of the dried roots of RG.

        80% extract of Gamigwaruhaebaekbaekju-Tang (GGHBT), Gagamgwaruhaebaekbaekju-Tang (GGGHBT) and Gamigwaruhaebaekwhanggum-Tang (GGHWT) remarkably showed inhibitory effects on HMG-CoA reductase, lipid peroxidation of rat liver and LDL oxidation, and DPPH free radical scavenging effect in a dose-dependent manner. Especially, GGHWT which is formulated with Trichosanthis Fructus, Pinelliae Tuber, Aurantii Immatures Fructus, Magnoliae Cortex, Allii Macrostemi Bulbus, Cinnamomi Ramulus and Scutellariae Radix on the basis of Gwaruhaebaekbaekiu-Tang listed on the traditional medicinal references showed more effective hypocholesterolemic activities in vitro bioassay than the other prescriptions.

        중ㆍ고등학교 영어교과서에 나타난 조동사 Can의 분포에 대한 코퍼스언어학적 연구

        Textbook is very important in English learning and teaching. The goals of this paper are (i) to analyze the distributions of modal auxiliaries in middle school and high school English textbooks and (ii) to compare the analysis results with those of the general- purpose English corpora. Our study is based on Corpus Linguistics, and we are using corpus-analysis methods and tools in our research. In our study, we consider English textbooks as corpus texts and we will analyze them with NLPTools, which is a corpus- analyzing program. After we survey the distributions of modal auxiliaries, we will focus on a modal auxiliary can. We will examine not only syntactical distributions of a modal can but also semantic/functional distributions of this modal in English textbooks. In order to analyze the semantical distributions of can, we will use semantic tags and divide its semantic/functional category into three groups: ability, permission, and possibility. We will also divide the syntactic distributions into the nine verb phrase structures. After we closely examine the syntactic and semantic/functional distributions of a modal can, we will compare the analysis results with those of the LLC Corpus, the LOB Corpus, and the British National Corpus. Through the study, we want to show that the actual distributions and usages of a modal can in middle and high school English textbooks are a little different from those in other general-purpose English corpora.

        가미과루해백황금탕의 항고지혈증 효과

        Gamigwaruhaebaekwhanggum-Tang (GGHWT) have been evaluated for antihyperlipidemic effects on experimental hyperlipidemic rats and mice induced by Triton WR-1339, corn oil and high cholesterol-diet. Especially, GGHWT is formulated with Trichosanthis Fructus, Pinelliae Tuber, Aurantii Immaturus Fructus, Magnoliae Cortex, Allii Macrostemi Bulbus, Cinnamomi Ramulus and Scutellariae Radix. Oral administration of GGHWT at 500 mg/kg/day for 3 days significantly inhibited the increase of serum triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol, liver triglyceride in hyperlipidemic rats induced by Triton WR-1339. And, GGHWT significantly inhibited the increase of serum triglyceride in hyperlipidemic rats induced by corn oil. Also, administration of GGHWT (500 mg/kg, once daily for 1 week, p.o.) prevented the increase of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, liver total cholesterol and triglyceride in 1 % cholesterol-diet fed mice. These results suggest that GGHWT is effective for the treatment of hyperlipidemia.

        그림책을 활용한 시각장애 유아 대상 프로그램 개발

        본 연구의 목적은 시각장애 유아를 대상으로 하는 그림책 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 프로그램 개발을 위해 시각장애 유아, 그림책, 그림책 프로그램에 대한 문헌 고찰을 실시하였고 시각장애 유아를 대상으로 한 교육기관에서 요구 조사를 시행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 1차 교육 프로그램을 개발한 후 전문가 검토를 실시하여 타당도를 검증하고 전문가 의견을 수용하여 최종 프로그램을 완성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 시각장애 유아 대상 그림책 프로그램은 그림책 프로그램의 보편성을 따라 교육 목표를 설정하였으며 시각장애 유아의 특수성을 고려하여 경험중심 교육의 교수 원칙을 도입하였다. 최종 프로그램은 총 10차시의 교육 활동으로 구성되었다. 교육 활동에는 시각장애 유아들이 잔존감각을 충분히 활용하여 그림책을 능동적으로 즐길 수 있는 활동들이 포함되었다. 본 연구는 그동안 그림책 프로그램 개발에서 주목 받지 못했던 시각장애 유아를 위한 구체적인 그림책 프로그램을 개발하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며 추후 시각장애 유·아동을 대상으로 한 교육 현장에서 실행되기를 기대한다. The objective of this study is to develop a picture book program for visually impaired young children. For this purpose, literature reviews about visually impaired children, picture books and educational programs using picture books, and a needs survey in an educational institution for visually impaired young children were conducted. Based on the literature review and the needs survey, the first program was developed. After verification through expert peer review and opinion, the modified program was completed. The picture book program for visually impaired young children developed through this study has set educational goals according to the universality of picture book programs and introduced the teaching principles of experience-centered education in consideration of the specialty of visually impaired young children. The program of this study is composed of 10 sessions, including activities where visually impaired young children could enjoy picture books by making full use of their residual senses. This study could be used as a specific program for visually impaired young children who have been out of the spotlight in picture book programs.

        대황황련해독탕의 항고지혈증 작용

        Whangryunhaedok-Tang (WT) is formulated with Coptidis Rhizoma, Phellodendri Cortex, Scutellariae Radix and Gardeniae Fructus, and Daewhang-whangryunhaedok-Tang (DWT) is made by the combination of Rhei Rhizoma, a wellknown anticostipation drug in WT. Therefore, DWT has been evaluated for antihyperlipidemic effects on experimental hyperlipidemic rats and mice induced by corn oil and high cholesterol-diet. Oral administration of DWT significantly inhibited the increase of serum triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol levels, and the decrease of serum HDL-cholesterol levels in hyperlipidemic rats induced by corn oil. Also, oral administration of DWT significantly prevented the increase of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol, and liver total cholesterol and triglyceride in 1% cholesterol-diet fed mice. These results suggest that DWT is effective for the treatment of hyperlipidemia.

        틈새정당의 전략과 제도화

        본 논문은 틈새정당(niche party)의 전략과 제도화에 초점을 맞춘 이론을 통해 민주노동당의 성공과 실패를 설명하고자 한다. 2000년 좌파 계급정당으로 등장해 4년 만에 17대 국회의원 선거에서 10석의 의석을 획득해 성공적인 원내진출을 이루었던 민주노동당은 이후 지속적으로 감소하는 정당 지지도와 내부 정파갈등으로 인한 분당과 신설합당 등을 거쳐 2014년 헌법재판소의 해산 판결로 인해 역사의 뒤안길로 사라지게 되었다. 실패로 종결된 민주노동당의 정치적 실험으로부터 중요한 학문적 함의와 현실적 교훈을 도출하기 위하여, 본 논문은 메귀드(Meguid)의 틈새정당 이론을 비판적으로 차용한다. 새롭게 등장한 틈새정당의 정치적 위협에 대응하는 기존 거대정당들의 최선의 전략은 메귀드가 이론화한 바대로 각 정당들의 이념적 위치에 따라 적응 혹은 적대 전략이다. 이에 대응하는 틈새정당의 최선의 전략은, 본 논문에서 확장한 이론적 논리에 따르자면, 중화전략과 유인전략의 조합이다. 틈새정당이 중화-유인 전략을 일관되게 추진하기 위해서는 조직적 체계성, 지도부의 의사결정 자율성, 당 구성원 사이 가치의 동질화, 유권자들로부터 얻는 지속적 실체성 등으로 평가하는 정당 제도화가 뒷받침되어야 한다. 이러한 분석틀을 바탕으로 본 논문은 2004년 17대 총선 이후 2012년 19대 총선까지 민주노동당이 중화-유인 전략을 지속적으로 추진하지 못한 이유를 정당 제도화 수준의 하락을 통해 설명한다. This article seeks to explain the success and failure of the Korean Democratic Labor Party (KDLP) by using a theory of niche party strategy and institutionalization. Since its successful inroad into the National Assembly in 2004, just four years after its foundation, the KDLP has suffered from declining support rates and the split and merger resulting from endemic factional strife. It eventually disappeared after the constitutional court’s decision to disband in 2014. To draw important implications from the KDLP’s political experiment in the Korean party politics, this article critically employs Meguid’s niche party theory. According to her theory, mainstream parties’ best strategy toward a niche party’s political threat is either an accommodative or an adversarial strategy, depending on their ideological position. A niche party’s best strategy is then the combination of neutralization and inducement, according to the extended theoretical logic developed in this article. Party institutionalization is necessary for a niche party to pursue the best strategy, which can be assessed by systemness of party organization, autonomy of party leaders, value infusion of party members and supporters, and reification in voters’ mind. Using this theoretical framework, we explain why the KDLP has not been able to pursue consistently the neutralization-inducement strategy from the 17th to the 19th National Assembly elections by empirically assessing the institutionalization of the KDLP.
