A Study on Prediction of the Base Pressures for an Axi-Symmetric Body

A flow modeling method has been developed to analyze the flow in the annular base (rear- facing surface) of a circular engine nacelle flying at subsonic speed but with a supersonic exhaust jet. Real values of exhaust gas properties and temperature at an altitude of 30, 000 feet are employed. Potential flows of the air and gas streams are computed for the flow past a separated wake. Then a viscous jet mixing is superimposed on this inviscid solution. Conserva- tion of mass, momentum and energy for the wake flow field is achieved by multiple iterations with modest computer requirements.

<P>Ni/Cu two-step plating is a promising metallization technique because low contact resistance and improved contact adhesion can be achieved after the Ni annealing process. Also, narrow fingers, which are required for high-efficiency solar cells, can be formed by plating. However, the reliability of contact adhesion is still considered one obstacle to industrializing solar cells with plated metal contacts. In this experiment, the influence of ARC opening methods on plated contact adhesion was investigated because the roughnesses of the Si surfaces produced by using pico-second laser ablation and photolithography may be different. Also, the annealing process was conducted before and after plating Cu/Ag metal stacks. The sequence of the annealing can be significant for efficient production because plating is a wet process while annealing is a dry process. The contact adhesion was measured by using a peel-off test. The test was conducted on a 1.5-mm-wide by a 60 similar to 70- mm-long bus bar area. A 3.2-N/mm adhesion force was recorded as a highest average value along the bus bar.</P>

It seems very difficult to comply with upcoming stringent emission standards in vehicles. To develop low emission engines, better quality of automotive fuels must be achieved. Since sulfur contents in diesel fuels are transformed to sulfate-laden particulate matters as a catalyst is applied, it is necessary to provide low sulfur fuels before any Pt-based oxidation catalysts are applied. In general, flash point, distillation $90\%$ and cetane index are improved but viscosity can be worse in the process of desulfurization of diesel fuel. Excessive reduction of sulfur may cause to degrade viscosity of fuels and engine performance in fuel injection systems. This research focused on the performance of an 11,000 cc diesel engine and emission characteristics by the introduction of ULSD, bio-diesel and a diesel oxidation catalyst, where the bio-diesel was used to improve viscosity of fuels in fuel injection systems as fuel additives or alternative fuels.
Embedded system architecture for an WLAN-based dual mode mobile phone

<P>This paper presents new embedded system architecture (ESA) for improving the voice quality in a WLAN/Cellular dual-mode mobile phone. The proposed architecture is based on a dual-core scheme and its main functional blocks are composed of VoIP Remote Procedure Call (VRPC), an audio bridging scheme, and a Server-Assisted Call Management (SACM) algorithm. In order to illustrate the aims of the proposed approach, prototype systems are implemented, and evaluated by measuring average Mean Opinion Score (MOS), and Mouth-To-Ear (M2E) delay. The experimental results show that the proposed approach results in greatly improved voice quality.</P>

정부의 지식행정시스템은 2001년 도입 이래 그 동안 각 기관의 실정에 맞게 많은 발전을 거쳐 사용자들이 업무를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 필수적인 시스템으로 자리를 잡았다. 하지만 최근 정보보안(내부자료 유출 방지, 해킹 피해 최소화 등)의 요구가 증가함에 따라 기존의 네트워크를 업무망과 인터넷망으로 분리하는 네트워크 분리가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 변화에서 지식행정시스템은 시스템 분할의 기준이 없어 일방적으로 업무망에만 설치되는데 이렇게 될 경우 지식행정시스템의 일부 기능이 제한되고 사용자의 사용성이 떨어지며 외부 사용자는 접근이 불가능하게 되는 문제가 발생한다. 정보보안 강화라는 네트워크 분리의 목적을 달성하면서도 사용자의 불편함을 최소화하기 위해서는 업무망에 있는 지식행정시스템을 업무망과 인터넷망에 분할하여 설치하는 새로운 모델이 필요한데, 기존에 제안된 분할 방법은 분할 목적이 다름으로 인해 적용하기가 어려웠다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 분리 환경에 맞는 새로운 시스템 분할 요인으로 외부사용자 참여도, 내부시스템 결합도, 인터넷 결합도를 제시하고 요인별 측정치에 따른 위치를 결정하여 네트워크 분할환경에서의 효율적인 지식행정시스템 모델을 제안하고 문화체육관광부의 지식행정시스템에 적용한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 지식행정시스템 모델을 사용하면 네트워크 분리환경에 따라 발생한 시스템의 제한된 기능의 정상화가 가능하고, 불가능했던 외부 사용자의 접근이 가능하며, 사용자의 불편함을 완화시킬 수 있다.

유럽을 포함한 많은 선진국들은 자동차 배기가스에 대한 환경규제를 만족하기 위해서 노력을 하고 있다. 가솔린 엔진에 비해서 문제가 되는 디젤엔진에서 배출되는 배기가스 즉 질소 산화물과 입자상 물질을 저감하려는 노력은 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 11,000cc 대형 터보 디젤엔진에 배기가스 순환장치를 설치하여 질소산화물을 효과적으로 저감하는 기술을 개발하고자한다.
