The photodegradation of IPA according to coating conditions was examined by TiO₂/P-25-coated. POF. The following results can be concluded. In the photoactivity of TiO₂-coated POF, ethanol solvent was higher than other solvents. Inorganic(KR-400), organic(A-9540) and inorganic-organic hybrid(GPTMS·TMOS) resins were used as binder. TiO₂ coated surface of POF was clear with all binders. Organic binder(A-9540) showed the highest activity for IPA degradation. But organic binder was degraded by TiO₂, inorganic binder had lower binder ability than others. The optimum activity obtained when the ratio of TMOS and P-25 was 0.05~1:1.

Inorganic(KR-400), inorganic-organic hybrid(TMOS) and organic(A-9540) resins were used as binder. Ti0₂ coated surface of aluminum metal plate was clear with all binders. The activity for IPA degradation appeared to range in order A-9540>TMOS>KR-400. The optimum activity obtained when the ratio of TMOS and P-25 was 1.6:10, and when the ratio of A-9540 and P-25 was 1.0:6.0.
데스크탑 마이크로 성형시스템의 가진성형에 따른 동특성 연구

In this study, a desktop forming system which enables hydro dynamic bearing forming was developed. It consists of power train system, frequency forming system, manufactured Die-set, and controller of desktop forming system. The desktop micro forming system is focused on a higher load capacity and a shorter forming time than conventional system. Therefore it was designed for power train capability and load condition of Ball Screw. Moreover, a Piezo actuator was installed to make accurate machining possible, however, the Piezo actuator generate noise and vibration. Thus we performed the analysis of dynamic characteristics through the experiment about developed system in order to reduce such problems and discuss the alternative methods.

Studies on carbon fiber epoxy composite is being conducted broadly in industries because of its specific stiffness, specific strength and good fatigue resistance. Because carbon fiber epoxy composite has high vibration characteristics, if existing metal material is alternated by carbon fiber epoxy composite, structure will be low weight, satisfy 1st bending natural frequency and have high fatigue resistance. In this study, research on to manufacture hybrid propeller-shaft using carbon fiber epoxy composite instead of current steel propeller shaft of rear wheel drive vehicle. For this, change of 1st bending natural frequency by the number of layers of carbon fiber epoxy composite on the outer surface of aluminum shaft was observed. Compared the change of 1st bending natural frequency by FEA with computer simulation and vibration test. Through this, the amount of increase in 1st bending natural frequency of hybrid shaft by the increase in number of layers of carbon fiber epoxy composite and high vibration characteristics of hybrid shaft was acknowledged.

In this paper, gear system for Micro-press actuator parts is developed. The micro-press system consists of AC geared servo motor, gear system and high precision ball screw. Herein, the micro-press gear system not only forms the micro thin foil valve but also forms the hydro dynamic bearing for a high precision rotational equipment. we analyzed the transmitted power capacity of gear system and torque, angular velocity of ball screw, because we are to select the appropriate servo motor and then we apply result of analysis to the micro press system. For the next step, we plan to study for the development of forming speed for a productivity with high precision.

As a result of the enlarging pool of unvaccinated children and young adults, there has been an increase in measles in our countries. In these situation, it has been reported that measles associated pneumoinia is easily complicated with fatal respiratory failure, espycially in immunocompromised patients. Herein we report the case of lethal measles pneumonia after allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in adults proven by autopsy. Recently, one case of measles was encountered in 39-year-old female patients after allogenic bone marrow transplanted case (chronic myelogenous leukemia), who progressed into interstitial pneumonia pattern, despite treatment including antibiotics, immunoglobulin. The patient died of giant cell pneumonia compatible with that of measles which was comfirmed in the section of necropsy lung specimen. (Korean J Infect Dis 33:301∼309, 2001)

Balanced approach can help initial outcomes

Purpose: To evaluate patient triage pattern and outcomes according to types of liver transplantation as part of a new liver transplant program developed in an East Asian country with a limited number of deceased donors. Methods: Medical records of initial 50 liver transplantations were reviewed retrospectively. Results: Twenty-nine patients underwent deceased donor liver transplantation (DDLT) and 21 patients underwent living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). Mean model for end-stage liver disease scores of recipients of DDLT and LDLT were 24.9 ± 11.6 and 13.1 ± 5.4, respectively (P < 0.0001). Twenty-eight patients had HCCs and 17 of them (60.7%) underwent LDLT, which was 80.9% of LDLTs. There were 2 cases of perioperative mortality; each was from DDLT and LDLT, respectively. Median follow-up was 18 months. Overall patient and graft survival rates at 6 months, 1 and 2 years were 95.7%, 93.4%, and 89.8 %, respectively. There was no significant difference in survival between DDLT and LDLT. Overall recurrence-free survival rates of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients at 6 month, 1, and 2 years were 96.3%, 96.3%, and 90.3%, respectively. There was no significant difference in recurrence-free survival between DDLT and LDLT. Conclusion: As a new liver transplant program with limited resource and waiting list, patients with critical condition could undergo DDLT whereas relatively stable patients with HCCs were mostly directed to LDLT. We recommend a balanced approach between DDLT and LDLT for initiating liver transplant programs.
