        Objectives : Coronary and cerebrovascular disease with high mortality is a major factor in arteriosclerosis. Pro-inflammatory cytokines damage vascular endothelial cells, leading to vascular inflammation. These vascular inflammation can build up cholesterol and thrombus to cause atherosclerosis. Methods : In this study, we researched the effect of ChungHyul-Plus for vascular inflammation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) stimulated with tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Change in mRNA expression of inflammatory cytokines (CCL5, CXCL8, CX3CL1, and MCP-1), cell adhesion molecules (VCAM-1 and ICAM-1), and anti-inflammation modulators (KLF2 and eNOS) were quantified by qRT-PCR. Results : ChungHyul-Plus decreased expression of inflammatory cytokines and cell adhesion molecules and increased anti-inflammation modulators expression in TNF-α stimulated HUVECs. Conclusions : These results suggest that ChungHyul-Plus can be used in the treatment and prevention of vascular inflammation and arteriosclerosis.

        특허권 강화는 기술혁신을 촉진하는가? : 한국의 특허법 개혁을 중심으로 Evidence From the Korean Patent Law Reforms

        1970년대 말 이후 취해진 미국의 일련의 특허권 개혁과 1994년에 체결된 TRIPS협약을 계기로 특허권 강화와 기술혁신간의 상관관계에 대한 수많은 실증연구가 1990년대 들어 행하여지고 있다. 그러나 최근의 실증연구결과들은 특허권강화가 기술혁신을 촉진하는 유효한 수단인가에 대해서 명확한 결론을 내리지 못하고 있어, '특허의 역설(Patent paradox)'이라 불리고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라의 특허 및 연구개발 지출 자료를 활용하여 특허권 강화(특허법개혁)가 기술혁신활동에 유효한 인센티브로 작용하는 지를 살펴보았다. 분석결과 1980년대 말의 특허법 7차 개정과 1990년대 중반의 11차 개정이 연구개발 지출과 특허출원건수로 측정한 기술혁신활동에 긍정적으로 작용하였음을 발견하였다. 그러나 우리의 추정방법이 제도개혁의 직접적인 영향만을 추정하는 것이 아니라 여타의 거시적 충격까지 포함할 가능성이 있기 때문에 조심스러운 해석을 요한다. By influencing the incentives to innovate, the strengthening of patents may affect economic growth in important way. An important question for many countries is whether patent law reforms induce more innovation. This paper examines the role of patents in innovation, utilizing Korean data on patent applications, expenditure of R&D, sales and concentration ratio. The evidence suggests that the strengthening of patents was a significant determinant of innovation in Korea. However, in our estimations, we do not completely eliminate the effects of other macro shocks. Therefore, we interpretate our results as representing an "upper bound" of Korean firms' responses to patent law reforms.

        네모나프라이드의 유효성 및 추체외로 부작용 : Haloperidol 및 Risperidone과의 자연관찰적 개방형 비교연구 A Naturalistic Open Comparative Study with Haloperidol and Risperidone

        Objectives : This open prospective study was performed in order to evaluate the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects of nemonapride in the schizophrenic patients, and was compared wit one of typical antipshchotics. haloperidol and one of atypical antipsychotics, risperidone. Methods : Thirty male and female schizophrenic patients(DSM-Ⅳ) were treated for 12 weeks with haloperidol(n=10), risperidone(n=10) and nemonapride(n=10). The overall efficacy was assessed at baseline, 1st week, 2nd week, 4th week, 8th week, and 12th week by the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale for Schizophrenia(PANSS). Also the overall safety was assessed in the same time period by the Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale(ESRS). Results : There were no significant differences in PANSS scores(total, positive, negative, and general psycho­pathology subscale) among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride groups, Treatment responders, defined as at least 20% reduction of baseline total PANSS score, were achieved by 8 patients(80%) in haloperidol group, 10 patients(100%) in risperidone group, and 8 patients(80%) in nemonapride group. And there were no significant differences in ESRS total scores among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride group. Inter-group comparison among haloperidol, risperidone and nemonapride group, as assessed by the ESRS, revealed no significant differences in the shifts to the maximum score, 9.4(±9.4), 6.2(±8.4), and 11.3(±8.1) respectively, and also revealed no significant differences in the mean time reaching the maximum score, 4.5(±4.5) week, 7.8(±4.8) week, and 4.6(±4.4) week, respectivily. Conclusion : There wee no significant differences in the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects among haloperidal, rispecridone and nemonapride groups. These results suggest that nemonapride was as efficacious and safe in he treatment of schizophrenia, as well known and widely used antipsychotics, haloperidol and risperidone.

        The purpose of the study lied in searching for the injury of women soccer player. For analyzing this, the study distributed 405 questionnaires in middle school women teams(222 questionnaires) & high school teams(183 questionnaires). The common injured part of female soccer player is the leg(33.89%), and then the feet(30.52%), the arms(16.28%), the waist area*8.56%), the head(6.42%), the chest(2.29%), the neck(2.04%).

        미기상규모 영역의 온실기체 승온효과에 관한 수치연구

        The change of land use such as the construction of way in mountainous area and tunnel leads to the quantitative change of the greenhouse gas. This study tried to clarify the effect of the change of land use around Miryang Ice Valley on thermal environment of micro-meteorological scale by numerical experiment. We carried out several numerical experiment under different atmospheric conditions with different amount of greenhouse gases. Heating rate increased by the greenhouse gas in the ground level is average of 0.0073 K/day. And the increasing rate is smaller than the daily average heat crossing quantity.

      • 천연항균성 물질을 이용한 Vibrio vulnificus의 살균 및 독소생성 억제효과

        생선회용 해산물에 오염되어, 생식한 경우 발생되는 패혈병의 원인균주인 Vibrio vulnificus의 생육 및 독성생성을 억제할 목적으로 천연 항균제인 Grapefruit종자추출물(GPSE)을 이용하여 그 항균효과를 검토하였다. In vitro 시험결과, Vibrio vulnificus에 대한 GFSE의 생육최소저해농도는 50~100 ppm 정도이었으며, Vibrio vulnificus 균체세포틀 100 ppm 농도의 GFSE 용액으로 처리하고 전자현미경 촬영시료로 조제하여 촬영한 후, 미생물형태을 무처리대조구와 비교, 검토한 결과, GFSE 처리로 세포막 기능이 파괴되어 세포내용물이 균체외부로 유출되어 균체의 생육이 억제되고 균체내부가 빈 ghost 형태의 균체수가 증대되어 GFSE의 항균효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 생선회용 해산물에 GFSE를 근육주사하고 Vibrio vulnificus를 접종한 수조내에서 사육하여 채취한 어육부를 마쇄하여 일정량씩을 표준사료에 첨가해서 통닭용 병아리를 실험동물로 하여 사양실험을 실시한 결과. 체중증가율, 단백질이용효율, 혈청내 효소활성, 혈청의 주요성분함량 등에 있어서, GFSE 처리수조내에서 사육한 해산물을 첨가한 시료시험구의 경우, 무첨가사료처리구와 비교할 때 뚜렷한 차이를 목격할 수 없었으며, GFSE 첨가에 따른 실험동물의 성장저해 또는 독성현상을 유발하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 아울러, 각 처리구에서 사양한 해산물의 어육부에 오염된 Vibrio vulnificus의 균수를 측정한 결과, 250ppm 이상의 GFSE 처리구에서는 Vibrio vulnificus를 전혀 검출할 수 없었다. To prevent food-poisoning outbreaks by Vibrio vulnificus the antimicrobial efficacy of grapefruit seed extract (GFSE) was examined. Minimal inhibitory concentration (in vitro) for the microorganism was found to be 50~100 ppm. Transmission electron micrographs of Vibrio vulnificus showed the biocidal action of this natural antimicrobial agent would be related to specific respiratory effect coupled with the destruction of permeable function of microbial cell membrane. After Anguilla japonia GFSE-injected to the body was incubated in the seawater contaminated by Vibrio vulnficus the fish meats were taken up, mixed with control diet and used as a diet in the feeding experiment. In this experiment the effect of GFSE treated with fish muscle on body weight protein efficiency ratio, serum enzymes and serum blood component of broiler chicks was investigated. It is proved from this study that there is neither Vibriosis nor toxicity associated with GFSE itself and fish meats treated with it when it is injected to the fish body at a level of 250 ppm or less.

        본 연구는 전통적인 컴퓨터 그래픽스에 영상기반 모델링과 렌더링을 수행하기 위한 편리한 시스템 구조를 만드는데 그 목적이 있다. 영상을 기반으로 하고, 원시 기하모델을 이용한 모델링과 렌더링은 기존의 접근보다 편리하며, 사실에 가까운 영상을 생성할 수 있다. 이러한 접근은 기존의 모델링을 편리하고, 사실과 가깝게 작업할 수 있게 하며, 영화산업에 접목하여 확장되고 발전되어질 수 있다. This study attempts to construct a system structure through which modeling and rendering based on images are conveniently conducted in the traditional computer graphics. The modeling and rendering which are based on image and using the primitive model of geometry are more convenient than the existing approaches andcan make images more analogous with the real. The new approach which is constructed in this study makes the existing modeling more convenient, and though this approach one can work in a situation rather similar to the real. In addition, this approach could be extended and developed in conjunction with the film industry.

      • 새로운 3가 유기루테늄 착물의 합성과 반응

        The paramagnetic organoruthenium (Ⅲ) complexes (η^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl₂(PR₃) (PR₃=PMe₃, PEt₃,PiPr₃, PCy₃, PMe₂Ph, PMePh₂,PPh₃, P(p-C_6H₄CH₃)₃, DPPE, DPPB, Py), (2a~2k) were synthesized by the reaction of [(η^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl₂]₂(1) with 1 equivalent of the corresponding phosphines (PR₃). The effective magnetic moment (μ_eff=1.65~2.07 B.M.) derived from the magnetic susceptibility measurements of the complexes (2a~2k) were consistent with the presence of a $quot;$quot;single$quot;$quot; unpaired electron in the molecule. Treatment of dichlororuthenium (Ⅲ) complex (η^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl₂(PR₃) (2) (i) with KBr in acetone afforded the dibromoruthenium (Ⅲ) complex (η^5-C_5Me_5)RuBr₂(PR₃) (PR₃=PPh₃), (ii) with sodium amalgam in diethylether led to th bis (phosphine) derivatives (η^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl(PR₃)₂(PR₃=PMe₃, PMePh₂), and (iii) with carbonmonoxide gave to the carbonyl derivatives (η^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl(PR₃)(CO) (PR₃=PMe₃, PPh₃).
