The semi-analytic sensitivity analysis using Pade approximation is presented for linear elastic structures. Although the semi-analytic method has several advantages, accuracy of the method prevents it from practical application. One of promising remedies is the use of geometric series for the matrix inversion. Though series expansion of order three has been successfully applied to the calculation of the structural sensitivity in the most range of the design perturbation, it is prone to have a slow convergence for large perturbation. To overcome this shortage, Pade approximation is introduced so that it can broaden the trust region of the perturbation without adding expansion terms. Numerical results show that the confident sensitivity can be obtained with tiny expenses of computation effort.
Online monitoring of IGBT junction temperature based on Vce measurement
Cao, Han,Ning, Puqi,Chai, Xiaoguang,Zheng, Dan,Kang, Yuhui,Wen, Xuhui The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2021 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.21 No.2
In this paper, an online junction temperature monitoring method based on the on-state voltage under high collector current density measurements for IGBT power modules is proposed. Unlike the conventional junction temperature monitoring method, the presented method can extract the junction temperature during operation without altering the modulation strategy or topology of the converter. The proposed method is verified by simulations and the JEDEC-51 standard recommended approach. To accurately extract the on-state voltage during operation, a measurement circuit that combines the advantages of both the active MOSFET clamp and the diode clamp is designed and tested. It has been shown to have good accuracy and a rapid response time. After the calibration results are obtained, the presented method is applied to a three-phase voltage source converter controlled by a closed-loop SVPWM modulation strategy.

Hippo/YAP signaling hinders cancer progression. Inactivation of this pathway contributes to the development of esophageal cancer by activation of Akt. However, the possible interaction between Akt and Hippo/YAP pathways in esophageal cancer progression is unclear. In this study, we found that ursolic acid (UA) plus 3′3-diindolylmethane (DIM) efficiently suppressed the oncogenic Akt/Gsk-3β signaling pathway while activating the Hippo tumor suppressor pathway in esophageal cancer cells. Moreover, the addition of the Akt inhibitor LY294002 and the PI3K inhibitor 3-methyladenine enhanced the inhibitory effects of UA plus DIM on Akt pathway activation and further stimulated the Hippo pathway, including the suppression of YAP nuclear translocation in esophageal cancer cells. Silencing YAP under UA plus DIM conditions significantly increased the activation of the tumor suppressor PTEN in esophageal cancer cells, while decreasing p-Akt activation, indicating that the Akt signaling pathway could be down-regulated in esophageal cancer cells by targeting PTEN. Furthermore, in a xenograft nude mice model, UA plus DIM treatment effectively diminished esophageal tumors by inactivating the Akt pathway and stimulating the Hippo signaling pathway. Thus, our study highlights a feedback loop between the PI3K/Akt and Hippo signaling pathways in esophageal cancer cells, implying that a low dose of UA plus DIM could serve as a promising chemotherapeutic combination strategy in the treatment of esophageal cancer.
The complete mitochondrial genome of fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)

The mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) can provide important information for understanding molecular evolution and phylogenetic analyses. The complete mitogenome of Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) was determined to be 15,365 bp in length and has the typical gene order found in Noctuidae mitogenomes, it includes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes and a A?T-rich region. The nucleotide composition was biased toward A?T nucleotides (81.09 %) and the AT skew of this mitogenome was slightly positive (0.004). All PCGs were initiated by ATN codons, except for cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene which was initiated by CGA. Eight of the 13 PCGs have the incomplete termination codon, T or TA. All the tRNA genes displayed the typical clover-leaf structure of mitochondrial tRNAs, with the exception of trnS1 (AGN). The A?T-rich region was 328 bp in length and consisted of several features common to the Noctuidae insects. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the S. frugiperda was within the Noctuidae.
