        Route Optimization of Container Ships Using Differential Evolution and Gray Wolf Optimization

        Container ships carry most of the world's cargo volume. Hence, Maritime transportation forms the backbone of the world merchandise trade. Today, with the advancement of shipbuilding technology and the increasing frequency of maritime transport, determining the optimal route for container ships has become more and more important for ship-ping lines and port managers. Accordingly, in the present study, we intend to investigate the ship routing problem us-ing a mixed integer linear mathematical programming model. In order to solve the proposed model, we have used the meta-heuristic algorithms of differential evolution and gray wolf optimization in MATLAB software. In the end, it was shown that the proposed mathematical model and solution approaches can assist ship operators and terminal managers in making reasonable optimization decisions.

        Influence of Rabbit Sire Genetic Origin, Season of Birth and Parity Order on Doe and Litter Performance in an Organic Production System

        The aim of this study was to compare both the performance of litters derived from two sire genetic origins (SGO), Vienna Blue (VB) and Burgundy Fawn (BF), along successive seasons of birth (SB; winter, spring, summer and autumn), and doe reproductive performance in an organic production system. A total of fifty-eight does consisting of a mixture of crosses of several medium-large size breeds at different parity order (P, 1 = nulliparous; 2 = primiparous; ${\geq}3$ = multiparous) and twelve males (6 VB and 6 BF) were housed indoors at environmental conditions that followed seasonality. An extensive reproductive rhythm was used and kits were weaned at $46{\pm}6$ d of age. Doe reproductive performance and the data of 105 litters (55 from VB and 50 from BF SGO) were recorded throughout the SB. No statistically significant differences related to SGO effect were observed. As regards parity order, multiparous does showed higher live weights (LW) (p<0.05), total born (p<0.01), total born alive (p<0.05) per delivery, and litter weight of born alive (p<0.05), but lower milk output at 21st d than primiparous does (p<0.05). The extensive reproductive rhythm mainly increased litter performance at birth in multiparous does but was not sufficient to permit a complete recovery of body reserves lost during lactation. Autumn SB negatively affected doe LW variation between deliveries. The number of pups born and born alive per delivery (p<0.05) and litter size at 21 d of age and at weaning (p<0.01) were lower during hot SB. Due to the lower litter size of pups born in summer and autumn, their individual weight at 21st d of age and daily individual growth rate 0 to 21 d were higher than those of pups born in winter (p<0.001). Litter performance at 21st d of age and individual pup pre-weaning growth rate were poorer for those born in spring than in other seasons due to the harmful effects of increased environmental temperatures. SB affected most of the performance traits of does and young rabbits reared under the organic farming system. The rabbits seemed better suited to organic rearing conditions during winter than in other seasons. The worst results overall were obtained in the spring SB, whereas the hot SB negatively affected both doe energy balance and prolificacy. In conclusion, the pups of the 2 SGO showed good pre-weaning performance and seemed suited to the organic rabbit production system.

      • Comparison of various 9-12%Cr steels under fatigue and creep-fatigue loadings at high temperature

        The present article compares the cyclic behaviour of various 9-12%Cr steels, both commercial grades and optimized materials (in terms of creep strength). These materials were subjected to high temperature fatigue and creep-fatigue loadings. TEM examinations of the microstructure after cyclic loadings were also carried out. It appears that all the tempered ferritic-martensitic steels suffer from a cyclic softening effect linked to the coarsening of the subgrains and laths and to the decrease of the dislocation density. These changes of the microstructure lead to a drastic loss in creep strength for all the materials under study. However, due to a better precipitation state, several materials optimized for their creep strength still present a good creep resistance after cyclic softening. These results are discussed and compared to the literature in terms of the physical mechanisms responsible for cyclic and creep deformation at the microstructural scale.

        Management of Reproduction on Small, Medium and Large Rabbit Farms: A Review

        One of the main goals of small, medium and large farms is to improve the reproductive performance of rabbit does. Stocks of lower productivity can be improved by crossing with intensive breeds. A better nutritional status of both foetuses and suckling kits has a positive effect on their later productivity. Overfeeding young females before first mating can lead to conditions of fattiness. Using restricted feeding or higher fibre content in the feed and changing it for a higher level ad libitum feeding about one week prior to first mating leads to longer lifespan and higher productive level. Intensive reproductive rhythm creates a negative energy balance in does : they are unable to consume enough feed (energy) for the nutritional requirements of foetus and lactation, and therefore lose most of their fat reserves. Furthermore, primiparous does also expend energy because they are still growing. Under intensive conditions, the 42-d reproductive rhythm (re-mating 11 days after parturition) is recommended. Under extensive conditions, the 18 or 25-d mating interval with 35 to 42-d weaning could be suitable. On small farms, natural mating is favoured; on large farms AI is commonly employed. The main advantage of AI is the all-in, all-out system. Hormonal (PMSG) treatment is used with AI to increase receptivity on d 11. Frequent and high level PMSG use can lead to higher anti-PMSG antibody rates. Lower level (max. 20 IU) and less frequent PMSG injection or non-hormonal alternative methods (short dam-litter separation, changing nursing method or lighting programs) are recommended for this reason.

      • 오프라인 프로그램을 이용한 로봇 비전시스템

        In this paper a manufacturing robot system is developed for the purpose of increasing the flexibility against changing product model. This system performs the soldering task. The module to solder the circuit is composed of robots(AC-L5) and automatic solder machine (SOLDER KING Ⅲ), is programmed 0LP(off-line programming) technique. The general kinematic and dynamic features of robot are analyzed to apply the error calibration of the AC-1.5 and the real assembly line. Robot teaching by using vision image at eye-on-hand reduces the setup time to cope with changing product model. The developed cells from the above results were installed and operated in the real camera back-cover assembly line where the work time and the soldering quality were improved compared to an ordinary cell using SCARA robot and the rate of the bad product is reduced in the process. Also, the task teaching in off-line program is 50 times faster than an ordinary on-line teaching method after the completion of one setting, contribution to the increase and efficiency of production and tasks.

        말하기 연계 글쓰기 교육의 수업 사례

        This study is about Writing-Speaking integrated education lesson about Ewha Womans University case. In Ewha Womans University, <Korean Language and Writing> has been operated as the only course for communication education. The goal of this curriculum is to develop the ability for logical speaking and writing, but the focus of the education is writing. But there are many students who find critical thinking and logical writing difficult. Relatively speaking, they think it is not difficult to speak oneself. Accordingly, I suggest the effective communication education methods for the integration education between speaking and writing. In this course, as students performed verbal description, group presentation and individual interview, they experienced various speaking and writing. This process contributed to less students' emotional burden and raise the interest in writing. The students have on time learning a close association speaking and writing, also realizing communicative importance by the many interactive act. And furthermore, it could increase the ability to organize their own idea and explain logically. This study has signification in suggesting the possible education method in one course through the change of class management. 본고에서는 이화여자대학교의 <우리말과 글쓰기> 수업 사례를 중심으로 말하기와 글쓰기를 효율적으로 연계할 수 있는 교육 방법에 대해 살펴보았다. <우리말과 글쓰기> 과목은 자신의 생각과 느낌을 논리적인 글과 말로 표현할 수 있는 능력을 키우는 것을 목적으로 하는데, 그중에서도 글쓰기에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 그러나 대부분의 학생들은 자신의 생각을 말로 표현하는 것보다 글로 표현하는 것에 두려움을 가지고 있는 경우가 많다. 이에 본고에서는 학술적인 글쓰기 능력을 향상시키기 위해 말하기가 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지를 모색하고자 하였다. 글쓰기 수업 과정 중에서 학생들은 말 그림 그리기, 조별 발표와 토론, 개별 면담 등의 다양한 말하기 활동을 수행하는데, 이러한 과정을 통해 학생들은 글쓰기에 대한 부담을 줄이는 동시에 흥미를 유발할 수 있으며, 말하기와 글쓰기가 별개의 과정이 아님을 스스로 깨닫게 된다고 생각한다. 궁극적으로는 다양한 방식의 말하기 활동을 글쓰기와 병행함으로써 자신의 생각을 체계화하고 이를 논리적으로 표현하는 종합적 의사소통 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다고 생각한다. 본고에서 소개한 수업 사례는 글쓰기 교육 과정에서 활용할 수 있는 여러 가지 교수 방법 중 하나일 뿐이다. 앞으로 수업 현장에서 적극적으로 활용하고 학습자 특성에 따라 차별적으로 적용할 만한 보다 체계적이고 세분화된 교수 방법을 모색해야 할 것이다.

        防毒湯 및 防毒湯加菱實의 Cyclophosphamide 副作用 抑制에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        韓醫學에 있어서 癌의 治療에 대해서는 韓藥을 利用한 抗癌劑의 開發과 아울러 東·西醫學의 結合을 통한 治療 效果의 增大 方向에서 化學療法과 放射線療法의 副作用을 減少시키는 藥劑 및 處方에 대한 硏究가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 防毒湯은 황기 人蔘 五味子 補骨脂 白朮炒 麥門冬 當歸 복령 半夏 陳皮 등 十味의 약물로 구성되어 處方으로 健脾·益氣·補腎의 作用을 가지고 臨床事例分析을 통하여 抗癌劑 副作用에 의하여 주로 발생되는 消化障碍 肝障碍 脫毛 血液學的 變化 및 免疫機能低下 등의 改善에 대한 報告와 抗腫瘍效果 및 免疫反應에 대한 實驗的 報告가 있었으며, 또한 菱實은 韓國과 中國, 日本 등에서 胃癌이나 胎毒, 酒毒에 使用되고 있다. 이에 防毒湯 및 防毒湯加菱實의 抗癌劑 副作用에 대한 抑制 效果를 實驗的으로 立證할 필요성이 있다고 생각되어 흰쥐에 化學療法劑인 cyclophosphamide를 注射하여 副作用을 誘發시키고, cyclophosphamide 投與 前後 各 5日間 防毒湯과 防毒湯加菱實을 投與한 다음 GOT, GPT, BUN, creatinine, 白血球數, 赤血球數, 血小板數를 測定하였으며, 腹腔癌을 誘發시킨 雄性 생쥐에 防毒湯 및 防毒湯加菱實 投與 5日後 cyclophoshamide를 注射하여 副作用을 誘發시키고 白血球數, 赤血球數, 血小板數를 測定하였다. 防毒湯 및 防毒湯加菱實은 cyclophoshamide의 副作用에 대한 抑制 效果가 있는 것으로 사료되어 동서의학의 결합을 통하여 암치료에 유효하게 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. In order to investigate the effects of Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei on reducing side-effects of cyclophosphamide to the rats, and mice which have abdominal tumor after Sarcoma-180 cells were transplanted, cyclophosphamide, the anti-cancer agent, was injected in order to induce the side-effects, and the extract of Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei was administrated through mouth from 5 days before the injection to 5 days after the injection, and observe GOT, GTP, BUN, creatinine, number of leukocyte, erythrocyte an thrombocyte. The results are summarized as follows: 1. In the effects of the inhibition of side-effects on the liver function, the GOT and GPT activity were proved to be reduced by the Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei. 2. In the effects of the inhibition effect on the side-effects on the kidney function, the BUN was proved to be reduced by the Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei but creatinine remained in all groups. 3. In the number of leukocyte, erythrocyte and thrombocyte, the sample group of Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei that did not have cancer showed an increase compared with control group. While, there was no distinguishable development in the study on the cancer-carrier mice. As the result of above experiment, it is presumed that Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei have proven to have inhibitory effect on side-effects of cyclophosphamide. We can conclude that Fangdutang and Fangdutangjiawei will be useful for cure of the cancer in occidental and oriental medical world.

      • 高脂肪性食餌로 因한 高脂血症 白鼠에 首烏延壽丹이 미치는 影響

        This study was done in order to investigate the effect of Suoyensudan on hyperlipidemia. Results: 1. The level of serum total cholesterol was decreased with the significance in the sample groups as compared with the control groups. 2. The level of serum HDL-cholesterol was increased with significance in sample groups as compared with the control groups. 3. The level of serum phospholipid was increased with significance in Sample 1 group as compared with Control 1 group, but Sample 2 group did not show significance as compared with Control 2 group. 4. The level of serum β-lipoprotein was decreased with the significance in Control 1 group, but control 2 group did not show significance. 5. Rate of total cholesterol vs. HDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol vs phospholipid were increased in the sample groups as compared with the control groups. Conclusion; It is considered that Suoyensudan respectively had recovering effect on the Hyperlipidemia induced by cholesterol in male rats. So it can be use to prvent and treat hyperlipidemia and related deseases.
