      • 금강 하류역의 어류상에 관하여

        황금화,전상린,김미옥,황종서 상명대학교 기초과학연구소 1992 기초과학연구 Vol.6 No.-

        금강 하류역의 어류상을 밝히기 위하여 1990년 2월부터 12월까지의 기간에 월 2회씩 총 6개 조사지소에서 수온과 염분도의 측정 및 어류의 채집을 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 월평균 수온은 2월에 3.58℃로 가장 낮았고, 8월에 29.71℃로 가장 높게 나타났다. 조사지소별 평균 염분도는 St. 1에서 0.015‰로 가장 낮았고, St. 6에서 9.45‰로 가장 높았다. 2. 총 58종에 30,680개체의 어류가 채집되었으며, 종구성비로 볼 때 일차담수어는 21종(36.2%), 주연성담수어는 18종(31.0%), 그리고 해산어는 19종(32.8%)으로 나타났다. 3. 각 조사지소 중에서 St. 1, 2에서는 일차담수어가 우세하였으며, St. 3, 4에서는 주연성담수어가 우세하게 나타났고, St. 5, 6에서는 해산어와 주연성담수어가 우세하여 염분도 측정결과와 잘 일치하였다. 4. 총 58종 중에서 웅어 Coilia ectens, 누치 Hemibarbus labeo, 瘟歷早 Microphysogobio tungtingensis, 밀자개 Peltobagrus nitidus, 황줄망둑 Tridentiger nudicervicus, 오셀망둑 Lophiogobius ocellicauda, 강주걱양태 Repomucenus olidus 등의 어종에서는 계절적인 이동을 볼 수 있었으며, 이러한 이동은 수은 측정결과와 잘 일치하였다. 5. 총 58종 중 한반도 고유종은 일차담수어인 각시붕어 Rhodeus uyekii, 가시납지리 Acanthorhodeus gracilis, 왜매치 Abbottina springeri, 줄몰개 Gnathopogon strigatus, 긴물개 Squalidus gracilis majimae, 돌마자 Microphusogobio yaluensis 그리고 흰수마자 Gobiobotia naktongensis 등의 7종이었다. 6. 어류의 월별 체장분포로부터 황줄망둑 Tridentiger nudicervicus, 가실망둑 Acanthogobius ommaturus, 오셀망둑 Lophiogobius ocellicauda, 꺽정이 Trachydermus fasciatus, 그리고 돌가자미 Kareius biocloratus 등의 산란기와 생장율이 추정되었다. Fish fauna was investigated at six stations in Kum-river estuary during the periods from Feb. to Dec., 1990, twice a month. In order to reveal the environmental influences on fish fauna, water temperature and salinity were measured in each station. The results are as follows: 1. Water temperature was the highest with 31 C in Aug. (all stations) and the lowest with 2 C in Feb. (St. 4, 5, 6). Salinity was the highest with 16.45%0 at St. 6 in Feb. and the lowest with 0.06%0 at St. 1 in July. 2. From the study of fishes were identified a total of 58 taxa representing 22 family, 47 genera, 55 species and 3 subspecies. The composition of fishes based on habitats was composed of 21 primary freshwater fishes, 18 pheripheral freshwater fishes and 19 marine fishes, respectively. 3. Primary freshwater fishes were dominated at St. 1 and St. 2, while pheripheral freshwater fishes and marine fishes were dominated at St. 5 and St. 6. It was in accordance with the distribution of salinity gradient. 4. Among 58 taxa, Coilia ectens, Hemibarbus hbeo, Microphysogobio tungtingensis, Pelteobagrus nitidus, Tridentiger nudicervicus, Lophiogobius ocellicauda and Repomucenus olidus were to be a seasonal migrations, it was corresponded with the variations of water temperature. 5. Among 58 taxa, Rhodeus uyekii, Acanthorhodeus gracilis, A bbottim springeri, Gnatbpogon stn gatus, Squalidus gracilis majimue, Microphysogobio yaluensis and Gobiobotiu naktongensis were the Korean endemic species in this study area. 6. From the distribution of monthly body length, Tridentiger nudicervicus, Acanthogobius ommaturus, Lophiogobius ocellicauda, Trachydemzus fmiutus and Kareius bicoloratus, could be estimated the spawning periods and growth rate.

      • Duchenne형 進行性 筋異養症 保因者 檢出에 Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism 이용에 관한 硏究

        We performed genetic analysis for detection of carrier state of Duchenne's muscular dystrophy (DMD). As genetic markers of the disorder, We used DNA-sequence polymorphisms detected with 6 different DNA probes derived from the vicinity of the DMD locus at genetic distance less than 15 cmo or from within the gene. on the short arm of X chromosome. In the family we studied. a consultand was a 29 years old woman whose maternal grandfather was a DMD patient who was unavailable. Therefore, all of her maternal aunts were DMD carriers whose next generations were requested for DNA studies. On the basis of linkage analysis. a proband and her niece were deemed to be unaffected with an accuracy of more than 99%, and we anticipated another two femals and one malt to be unaffected with 98% probability (normal serum creatine kinase level) where crossover events between intragenic(pERT 87.30) and flanking probes(pXUT23) were detected. but carrire risk of a female with the same haplotype was elevated to 41% taking account of an increased serum creatine kinase level. Two other females were predicted to be affected with 99.9 and 97.1% probabilities each. However. a genetic interpretation was impossible for one male in which a crossover breakpoint could not be determinied because of his mother's homozygosity of the alleles between crossovered alleles where hitherto pessibility of intragenic crossover could not be ruled out Our experience suggests that genetic diagnosis based on recombinant deoxyribonucleic acid techniques are assuming increasing importance. and provide a highly accurate method for carrier detection and prenatal diagnosis of DMD. By the way, despite the large number of intragenic and flanking DNA polymorhpisms available, uncertainties often remain in the genetic diagnosis of DMD. Pitfalls are presented by the large size of the region in which Duchenne's mutations can occur. Crossover events in this region. especially intragenic ones, which result in an exchange of DNA between two X chromosomes, can,rener DNA-marker studies inaccurate.

      • Fire-retardant plastic material from oyster-shell powder and recycled polyethylene

        <P>A series of plastic materials from recycled polyethylene (PE) and oyster-shell powder were prepared to test their fire-retardant properties with an aim of finding a practical way of waste recycling. Oyster-shell powder was found to be mainly composed of calcium carbonate and it decomposed to calcium oxide and carbon dioxide at temperature higher than ∼800°C, thus preventing fire from access of oxygen by the produced carbon dioxide. This fire-retardation mechanism is environmental-friendly, since another available method, the inclusion of halogen-containing compounds, normally generates toxic chemicals like dioxine during incineration. To improve mechanical properties of this composite material, surface of oyster-shell powder was coated with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB).         Association between gestational age at delivery and lymphocyte-monocyte ratio in the routine second trimester complete blood cell count

        Background: We aimed to determine whether routine second trimester complete blood cell (CBC) count parameters, including neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR), and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), could predict obstetric outcomes. Methods: We included singleton pregnancies for which the 50-g oral glucose tolerance test and CBC were routinely performed between 24 and 28 weeks of gestation in our outpatient clinic from January 2015 to December 2017. The subjects were divided into three groups according to their pregnancy outcomes as follows: group 1, spontaneous preterm births, including preterm labor and preterm premature rupture of membranes; group 2, indicated preterm birth due to maternal, fetal, or placental causes (hypertensive disorder, fetal growth restriction, or placental abruption); and group 3, term deliveries, regardless of the indication of delivery. We compared the CBC parameters using a bivariate correlation test. Results: The study included 356 pregnancies. Twenty-eight subjects were in group 1, 20 in group 2, and 308 in group 3. There were no significant differences between the three groups in neutrophil, monocyte, lymphocyte, and platelet counts. Although there was no significant difference in NLR, LMR, and PLR between the three groups, LMR showed a negative correlation with gestational age at delivery (r=-0.126, p=0.016). Conclusion: We found that a higher LMR in the second trimester was associated with decreased gestational age at delivery. CBC parameters in the second trimester of pregnancy could be used to predict adverse obstetric outcomes.

        Prostacyclin 분무형과 정주형이 폐동맥 고혈압에 미치는 효과

        Background: Prostacyclin administered intravenously has demonstrated intermediate pulmonary specificity and its aerosol form has an even greater pulmonary selectivity. There have been few systematic analyses of the difference in response according to the route of administration and the dose of administration of prostacyclin. So we have compared prostacyclin infusion versus inhalation in various concentrations in an animal model. Methods: Pulmonary hypertension was induced by continuous intravenous infusion of the vasoconstrictor U46619 and prostacyclin solutions of 10, 50, 100, 200 mcg/ml were inhaled using a jet nebulizer. Prostacyclin infusion was done at a rate of 100, 200, 400 ng/kg/min. Results: With inhalation of 10, 50, 100, 200 mcg/ml prostacyclin, PVR fell to values of 85%, 76%, 64%, 55% of the preinhalation value and SVR fell to values of 94%, 80%, 76%, 64% of the preinhalation value, respectively(p<0.05). PVR/SVR ratios decreased significantly in all inhalation doses(p<0.05). With infusion prostacyclin at a rate of 100, 200, 400 ng/kg/min, PVR fell to values of 73%, 60%, 50% of the preinfusion value and SVR fell to values of 68%, 54%, 38% of the preinfusion value, respectively(p<0.05). PVR/SVR ratios increased at an infusion rate of 400 ng/kg/min. Conclusion: Prostacyclin inhalation did not result in selective pulmonary vasodilation without causing any efects on the systemic vascular bed(absolute pulmonary selectivity). But it did cause more predominant vasodilation on the pulmonary vascular bed(relative pulmonary selectivity). By contrast, prostacyclin infusion caused more predominant vasodilation on the systemic vascular bed, creating the risk of severe systemic hypotension. (Korean J Anesthesiol 1998; 35: 413∼422)

        백반증 치료에 있어서 narrow - band UVB 의 효과

        N/A Background : Many modalities of treatment for vitiligo have been elucidated and yet the treatment of vitiligo remains to be a challenge. Objectives : The purpose of this article is to review our results and experiences with narrow-band ultraviolet B phototherapy for vitiligo. Method : We studied 9 patients with vitiligo who received narrow band UVB phototherapy for 6 months in our department. This is a retrospective analysis of our experiences and results. Results : Nine patients were able to be evaluated for the purpose of this analysis. Their ages ranged from 6 to 68 years(mean, 18.4 years). Six patients of 9 patients achieved more than 75% repigmentation with a mean of 25 sessions of phototherapy. The remaining three patients had 50%, 40% and 30% repig entation after 44, 40, and 45 sessions of phototherapy, respectively. Adverse effects were mild. Conclusion : Narrow-band UVB is a useful and well-tolerated therapy for vitiligo in comparsion with other therapies.
