Due to the development of the CNC machine tool and CAM software, sculptured surface machining can be broadly used in die and mold industries and ball end milling process is often used for the sculptured surface machining. It is found out how feedrate affects the precision of the machining and also tried to study the most suitable feedrate in specific cutting condition. Two eddy current sensors were used for measuring tool deflections of X, Y axis, dynamometer for cutting force and roundness tester for roundness. It was found that the tool deflection is getting better as tool path is going to farther from the center of convex surface. The reason is that the cutting force is increased as the tool approaches to the center. Examining the roundness, cutting force and tool deflection characteristics, it was found that the most suitable feedrate is 90mm/min in convex surface and 120mm/min in concave surface.

This paper presents a novel fabrication method of scalloping-free and footing-free vertical electrodes for micromachined capacitive inclinometers with a high sensing resolution. The proposed fabrication method is based on additional crystalline wet etching of a (1 1 0) silicon that is bonded to a silicon substrate with a patterned insulator layer. The sensing electrodes, which are aligned to the (1 1 1) plane, have very smooth sidewalls because the morphological defects formed by the silicon deep reactive ion etching (DRIE) process are drastically reduced in the crystalline wet etching. The fabricated capacitive inclinometer with smooth sensing electrodes was evaluated in terms of capacitance change and resolution. The capacitance of the fabricated inclinometer is changed from −0.246 to 0.258 pF for the inclination angle (−90° to 90°). The temporal deviation of the capacitance is as small as 0.2 fF, which leads to a high resolution of 0.1° or less for ±45°.

Yun‑Fei Teng,Li Xu,Mei‑Yan Wei,Chang‑Yun Wang,Yu‑Cheng Gu,Chang‑Lun Shao 대한약학회 2020 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.43 No.12
Viruses have always been a class of pathogenicmicroorganisms that threaten the health and safety of humanlife worldwide. However, for a long time, the treatment ofviral infections has been slow to develop, and only a fewantiviral drugs have been using clinically. Compared withthese from terrestrial environments, marine-derived microorganismscan produce active substances with more novelstructures and unique functions. From 2015 to 2019, 89antiviral compounds of 8 structural classes have been isolatedfrom marine microorganisms, of which 35 exhibit anti-H1N1 activity. This review surveys systematically marinemicrobial-derived natural products with antiviral activityand illustrates the impact of these compounds on antiviraldrug discovery research.
The EGF/hnRNP Q1 axis is involved in tumorigenesis via the regulation of cell cycle-related genes

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) Q1, an RNA-binding protein, has been implicated in many posttranscriptional processes, including RNA metabolism and mRNA splicing and translation. However, the role of hnRNP Q1 in tumorigenesis remains unclear. We previously performed RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP)-seq analysis to identify hnRNP Q1-interacting mRNAs and found that hnRNP Q1 targets a group of genes that are involved in mitotic regulation, including Aurora-A. Here, we demonstrate that altering the hnRNP Q1 level influences the expression of the Aurora-A protein, but not its mRNA. Stimulation with epidermal growth factor (EGF) enhances both binding between hnRNP Q1 and Aurora-A mRNA as well as the efficacy of the hnRNP Q1-induced translation of Aurora-A mRNA. The EGF/hnRNP Q1-induced translation of Aurora-A mRNA is mediated by the mTOR and ERK pathways. In addition, we show that hnRNP Q1 up-regulates the translation of a group of spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) genes. hnRNP Q1 overexpression is positively correlated with the levels of Aurora-A and the SAC genes in human colorectal cancer tissues. In summary, our data suggest that hnRNP Q1 plays an important role in regulating the expression of a group of cell cycle-related genes. Therefore, it may contribute to tumorigenesis by up-regulating the translation of these genes in colorectal cancer.

Compared to hiding information into digital image, hiding information into digital text file requires less storage space and smaller bandwidth for data transmission, and it has obvious universality and extensiveness. However, text files have low redundancy, so it is more difficult to hide information in text files. To overcome this difficulty, Wang et al. proposed a reversible information hiding scheme using left-right and up-down representations of Chinese characters, but, when the scheme is implemented, it does not provide good visual steganographic effectiveness, and the embedding and extracting processes are too complicated to be done with reasonable effort and cost. We observed that a lot of traditional and simplified Chinese characters look somewhat the same (also called lookalike), so we utilize this feature to propose a novel information hiding scheme for hiding secret data in lookalike Chinese characters. Comparing to Wang et al.`s scheme, the proposed scheme simplifies the embedding and extracting procedures significantly and improves the effectiveness of visual steganographic images. The experimental results demonstrated the advantages of our proposed scheme.

Objective: Valproic acid (VPA) is an anticonvulsant and commonly long term used as a mood stabilizer for patients with mood disorders. However its chronic effects on the hematological changes were noticed and need to be further evaluated. In this study, we evaluated, in Taiwanese Han Chinese patients with bipolar disorders (BD), the chronic effects of VPA or VPA plus dextromethorphan (DM) on the hematological molecules (white blood cell [WBCs], red blood cells [RBCs], hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets). Methods: In a 12-week, randomized, double-blind study, we randomly assigned BD patients to one of three groups: VPA plus either placebo (VPA+P, n = 57) or DM (30 mg/day, VPA+DM30, n = 56) or 60 mg/day (VPA+DM60, n = 53). The Young Mania Rating Scale and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale were used to evaluate symptom severity, and the hematological molecules were checked. Results: Paired t test showed that the WBC, neutrophils, platelets and RBCs were significantly lowered after 12 weeks of VPA+P or VPA+DM30 treatment. VPA+DM60 represented the protective effects in the WBCs, neutrophils, and RBCs but not in the platelets. We further calculated the changes of each hematological molecules after 12 weeks treatment. We found that combination use of DM60 significantly improved the decline in neutrophils induced by the long-term VPA treatment. Conclusion: Hematological molecule levels were lower after long-term treatment with VPA. VPA+DM60, which yielded the protective effect in hematological change, especially in the neutrophil counts. Thus, DM might be adjunct therapy for maintaining hematological molecules in VPA treatment.
Energy Evolution Principles of Shock-Wave in Sandstone under Unloading Stress
Yun Cheng,Zhanping Song,Xiaoxu Chang,Tong Wang 대한토목학회 2020 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.24 No.10
Excavation process often induces the unloading rock mass to be in different damage stages, thus changing the propagation and attenuation characteristics of shock-wave energy in rock mass. This paper involved an investigation on the energy dissipation principles during unloading stress process. First, the paper presented small disturbance impact tests to acquire shock-wave data using the modified split Hopkinson pressure bar device. Then we discussed the shock-wave characteristics under different unloading stresses, attenuation characteristics of shock-wave energy at distance and its effects on unloading stress on the attenuation characteristics of shock-wave energy. Results showed that the presence or absence of unloading stress in sandstone had significant effect on shock-waveform. The shock-wave energy showed a spatial exponential attenuation characteristic, and the decay coefficient indicated that the variation degree in low unloading stress region was significantly greater than that in high unloading stress region. The unloading stress cut-off point was σ/σc = 23.88%. The shock-wave energy at different locations declined with a trend of slight decrease and rapid attenuation, illustrated that the closer the incident end of the sandstone was, the greater the attenuation degree of the shock-wave energy would be. This paper also analyzed the attenuation rate of shock-wave energy and corresponding different sensitivity to unloading stress, showed that the relationship between attenuation rate and unloading stress could be exposed by a composite linear exponential equation. Therefore, the conclusions can provide reference for the attenuation evolution analysis of shock-wave energy in the excavated rock mass.
