유럽연합(EU)의 디지털 문화유산 정책: 정책의 내용과 함의
송병준 ( Song¸ Byungjoon ) 한국이탈리아어문학회(구 한국이어이문학회) 2020 이탈리아어문학 Vol.0 No.61
In the European Union, cultural industry or cultural creative industry is the field that receives the most benefits of digital technology, such as establishment and utilization of cultural heritage platform, commercial utilization through digitaliagtion of cultural heritage, and distribution of cultural goods using broadband. In particular, the digitalization and utilization of cultural heritage has a strong nature of science and technology policies that presuppose technological support, unlike traditional cultural policies such as Capital of Cultural. Therefore, the digitalization and utilization of cultural heritage is recognized as a new creative industry in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, which encompasses digital technology standardization, research and development, building clusters and network platforms in the cultural sector, and strengthening intellectual property rights. Since the digital cultural heritage program is a policy that embraces rapidly changing digital technologies, it is implemented in conjunction with the development and application of several new technologies through the European Union's science and technology policy like a Horizon 2020. As such, the digital cultural heritage program has a complex character as a group of programs in Creative Europe, which is a cultural policy conducted against the background of institutional and technical support through a digital single market and science and technology policy.
CMOS Linear Power Amplifier with Envelope Tracking Operation
Byungjoon Park,Jooseung Kim,Yunsung Cho,Sangsu Jin,Daehyun Kang,Bumman Kim 한국전자파학회JEES 2014 Journal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science Vol.14 No.1
A differential-cascode CMOS power amplifier (PA) with a supply modulator for envelope tracking (ET) has been implemented by 0.18 μm RF CMOS technology. The loss at the output is minimized by implementing the output transformer on a FR-4 printed circuit board (PCB). The CMOS PA utilizes the 2nd harmonic short at the input to enhance the linearity. The measurement was done by the 10MHz bandwidth 16QAM 6.88 dB peak-to-average power ratio long-term evolution (LTE) signal at 1.85 GHz. The ET operation of the CMOS PA with the supply modulator enhances the power-added efficiency (PAE) by 2.5, to 10% over the stand-alone CMOS PA for the LTE signal. The ET PA achieves a PAE of 36.5% and an ACLRE-UTRA of ?32.7 dBc at an average output power of 27 dBm.
Your age is showing : An analysis of identity fraud in online game classification systems
Byungjoon Yoo(유병준),Daehwan Ahn(안대환),Seongmin Jeon(전성민) 한국벤처창업학회 2012 한국벤처창업학회 학술대회 Vol.2012 No.4
Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) has become a very popular business area to study as it represents new patterns of collaboration and social interaction in the virtual world. In this study, we empirically raise the issues of identity fraud in MMORPGs. In principle, the online game classification system controls the scope of users’ activities with regard to the level of age appropriateness. However, the results from this study cast doubt on the effect of the current classification system in that distinctive behavior differences were not found to exist from one age group to another. Specifically, the econometric and multivariate analyses show that the behaviors of the group whose ages are around 40 is very similar to those of the group whose ages are under 14.
A High Gain and High Harmonic Rejection LNA Using High Q Series Resonance Technique for SDR Receiver
Byungjoon Kim,Duksoo Kim,Sangwook Nam 한국전자파학회JEES 2014 Journal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science Vol.14 No.2
This paper presents a high gain and high harmonic rejection low-noise amplifier (LNA) for software-defined radio receiver. This LNA exploits the high quality factor (Q) series resonance technique. High Q series resonance can amplify the in-band signal voltage and attenuate the out-band signals. This is achieved by a source impedance transformation. This technique does not consume power and can easily support multiband operation. The chip is fabricated in a 0.13-μm CMOS. It supports four bands (640, 710, 830, and 1,070MHz). The measured forward gain (S21) is between 12.1 and 17.4 dB and the noise figure is between 2.7 and 3.3 dB. The IIP3 measures between - 5.7 and - 10.8 dBm, and the third harmonic rejection ratios are more than 30 dB. The LNA consumes 9.6 mW from a 1.2-V supply.
Long Tail in Daily Deal Industry
Byungjoon Yoo(유병준),Seongmin Jeon(전성민) 한국벤처창업학회 2012 한국벤처창업학회 학술대회 Vol.2012 No.4
The renowned Pareto rule of 80/20 has been challenged in the electronic marketplace with the emergence of long tail economy. Mass customization on top of the Internet infrastructure is expected to explain these changes of product concentration. In this paper, we empirically analyzed the micro-transactional data of a Groupon-like daily deal web site to identify the changes of product and customer concentration. The results show the long tail pattern aligned with the previous research on the e-commerce literature on the long tail. We find that the notification setting on email or SMS about daily deal influences the patterns of sales concentration.
Competition among Firms in Digital Convergence era
Byungjoon Yoo,Hyunyoung Lim 한국경영과학회 2010 Management Science and Financial Engineering Vol.16 No.2
Digital convergence which means the convergence of industry areas related to digital technologies is an important phenomenon in business, which will decide the fates of firms in the near future. The only firms which can create synergy effects from digital convergence are expected to be the winners in the fierce competition of digital convergence era. In our analysis, we examine the strategy of an integrated firm which has businesses in two different industry areas which are related to each other. By using a game theoretical model, we show how the integrated firm can win over two single separated firms which have business in only one industry area each by leveraging the two businesses the integrated firm has. In our welfare analysis, we also show that this convergence may be even beneficial to consumers, which seems counter?intuitive to social concerns about anti?competitive behaviors by integrated firms. Additionally, we study comparison between industry convergence and product convergence.
Byungjoon Kim,Jong-seop Koo,Duksoo Kim,Sangwook Nam IEEE 2017 IEEE geoscience and remote sensing letters Vol.14 No.4
<P>This letter proposes a novel frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar to achieve high wall-clutter rejection with a low-order high-pass filter (HPF). The proposed radar has two phase-locked loops (PLLs) and a phase controller. One transmitter PLL generates a chirp signal for transmitting (TX chirp) signal, the other a local-oscillator (LO) PLL generates a chirp signal for mixing (LO chirp), and the phase controller controls a phase of a reference clock entering the transmitter PLL. When the phase controller advances by a half-period of the reference clock, the PLL tracks and locks onto the advanced reference clock, and the TX chirp signal is advanced by a half-period of the reference clock. If longer advanced time is needed, the above-mentioned process (advance, track, and lock) is repeated after PLL locking. In this manner, long advanced time can be achieved with a fine time-resolution. The use of appropriate advanced time decreases the time gap between a wall-reflection signal and the LO chirp signal, and increases the ratio of target beat-frequency to wall beat-frequency. This enables a low-order HPF to fully attenuate wall-clutter. Moreover, this technique decouples the relationship between the wall's distance and the HPF's cut-off frequency. The radar was implemented and measured. The wall was located at 1.5 m and the target was located at 3 m. The measured results show that a second-order HPF attenuates by more than 20 dB for the wall beat-frequency signal, while it does not attenuate the target beat-frequency signal.</P>
