Study of Rehabilitation of Injured Knee Joint Applying Chaotic Theory in Human Body Motion

<P>Gait analysis is essential to identify accurate cause and knee condition from patients who display abnormal walking. Traditional linear tools can, however, mask the true structure of motor variability, since biomechanical data from a few strides during the gait have limitation to understanding the system. Therefore, it is necessary to propose a more precise dynamic method. The chaos analysis, a nonlinear technique, focuses on understanding how variations in the gait pattern change over time. Healthy eight subjects walked on a treadmill for 100 seconds at 60 Hz. Three dimensional walking kinematic data were obtained using two cameras and KWON3D motion analyzer. The largest Lyapunov exponent from the measured knee angular displacement time series was calculated to quantify local stability. This study quantified the variability present in time series generated from gait parameter via chaos analysis. Gait pattern is found to be chaotic. The proposed Lyapunov exponent can be used in rehabilitation and diagnosis of recoverable patients.</P>
LC-MS/MS를 이용한 S.D. Rat 혈장 중 Arctiin 분석법 개발

KIOM-MA128 is a novel oriental herbal medicine which is for atopic dermatitis and asthma. The purpose of this study was to develop on analytical method of arctiin in rat plasma after oral administration of KIOM-MA128. Analyte was separated on a Atlantis dC18 reverse phase column, using gradient mobile phase (A:B = acetonitrile: 0.1% formic acid in water) at a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. Detection was performed by electrospray positive ionization mass spectrometry using multiple reaction monitoring of the transitions of arctiin at m/z 552.4 → 372.8 and internal standard (carbamazepine) at m/z 237.0 → 194.5. The limit of quantification was 1 ng/mL for arctiin. The precisions were lower than 15% and the accuracy was between – 12.21 and 3.2%. The maximum concentration found in plasma samples was 4.1 ng/mL. The present method was successfully developed for detecting arctiin in plasma and this results would be utilized to the further study.

This investigation was undertaken to know how soft tissue facial profile could changed with age. The 3 serial lateral cephalometric roentgenograms of the twenty nine boys and twenty six girls between 9 and 13 years of age were studied and the findings seemed to warrant the following conclusions. 1. The author made the tables of means, standard deviations in each item, sex, age. 2. Soft tissue facial angle, soft tissue facial convexity including the nose tended to increase, but others tended to remain relatively stable. 3. Facial soft tissue thickness increased with age and the growth of facial soft tissue in the middle rgion (point A, LS, LI)was greater than others in the facial region. 4. In the soft tissue vertical proportions, GI'-Sn/Sn-Me' was 1.1, Sn-St/St-Me' was 0.51:1, Sn-LI/LI-Me' was 0.82.1 and those were stable with age.

成分改良된 Mokpo-MS를 利用하여 F_l用種子 採種方法과 採種能力을 究明코자 實驗한바 MS와 花粉親間 의 交互栽植時에 10a 當 F_l採種量은 어느 組合에서나 다 같이 MS 1 畦, 花粉親 1畦 交互畦栽植에서118~127kg의 F_l採種量을 얻었고 MS 2 畦, 花粉親 1 畦 交互畦 栽植에서는 101~ 118Kg, MS 3 畦, 花粉親 1 畦 交互畦 栽植에서는 86~89Kg의 F_l採種量을 얻었다. The F_1 seed production in per l0a has been produced by 118kg to 120kg with the one row planting of pollen parents and one row alternate planting of Mokpo-MS. The other hand, two rows planting of Mokpo-MS and one row alternate planting of pollen parents has been to produced by 101kg to 118kg and three rows planting of Mokpo-MS and one row alter nate planting of pollen parents has been produced by 86 to kg in F-l seed production.

Ectopic salivary tissue is an uncommon etiology of a neck mass in an infant. It is due to anomalous embryologic development of salivary tissue. We have experienced a case of cervical fistula due to ectopic salivary gland in 3-year-old male. The discharge is saliva-like and related to meals. Histopathologically, mucinous acini are located in lower dermis and subcutaneous fat. When a cystic neck mass or fistula is present on cervical area especially in children, an ectopic salivary gland should be considered as one of the causes. (Korean J Dermatol 2003;41(3) : 394∼396)

Lupus vulgaris, which is a progressive form of postprimary tuberculosis in patients with a moderate to high degree of immunity and tuberculin sensitivity, is the most common, most serious, and most variable type of cutaneous and mucous membrane tuberculosis. Domonstration of M.tuberculosis directly or in culture in some of these eruptions can be difficult. It is essential to demonstrate the presence of M.tuberculosis in a clinical sample for a definitive diagnosis of tuberculosis. With the discovery of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the DNA diagnostic approach for infection has developed in a short period. With the dual purpose of definitive and rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis, this study examined the usefulness of a nested PCR for detection of M. turberculosis. Compared with a single-step PCR, the two-step PCR was able to enhance sensitivity approximately 1,000-fold on the basis of bacterial counts and DNA quantity. We concluded that two-step nested PCR appeared to be the most useful PCR protocol for early and sensitive diagnostic method detecting M.tuberculosis in acid-fast stain negative specimens.
Ionizing 방사선이 MOS 소자에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

The analysis of a simple model for radiation-induced space charge buildup in the SiO₂layers of MOS(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) is carried out. The model assumes that holeelectron pairs are created in SiO₂layer by the radition and that some of the electrons thus created drift out of SiO₂layer under action of an applied potential across the oxide, V??while corresponding holes become trapped. in these experiments, MOS capacitors having 1100Å and 1950Å SiO₂thickness are exposed to X-ray. Both p-and n-type substrate and Al metal electrodes are used to evaluate characteristics of radiation induced positive charges. From the results of these experiments △V ?? and the number of holes trapped in SiO₂layer strongly depend on oxide thickness, electric field across the oxide layer and absorbed dose. Alwayys C-V(Capacitance-Volage) curve shifts negatively without any relation to substrate types and applied voltage during radiation. This means that trapped charges in the oxide are always positive.
