This paper presents the impact behavior and damage of laminated composite plates subjected to the low-velocity impact. For this purpose, a pendulum impact test for impact behavior and C-scan for impact damage are done. Test materials are carbon/epoxy laminated composite plates and stacking sequences [0/90]_4, [0/45_2/-45]_s, [45_2/-45/90]_s, [0/45/-45/90]_s and [0/26/51/77/-77/-51/-26/0].

Video-on-Demand is undoubtedly a promising technology for many important applications. Several periodic broadcast techniques have been proposed for the cost-effective implementation of such systems. However, there is a server delay for all of them. To address the shortcoming, we present a new scheme improving the staggered broadcasting by jointly using prefix caching scheme of VOD system in P2P environments. In thins paper, each client plays a role in the first segment staggered broadcasting server to serve the prefix stream to other clients that request the same video stream. The buffer can be empty after the client has served the following client. As a result, we are able to achieve no service latency time and the low buffer space.

The aerozolization is one of possible Brucella transmission mechanisms, particularly in air-borne exposed laboratory workers. In this study, seven laboratory workers were potentially exposed to B. abortus via aerosols. Two laboratory workers who sniffed an agar plate several times were considered to be at high risk for acquiring the disease, 5 workers who did not work directly with the strain were be considered at low risk of infection. Prophylactic antibiotics of doxycycline 200 mg/day and rifampin 600 mg/day were offered for 6 weeks in high risk workers and 3 weeks for low risk workers respectively. Enrolled workers were advised to check for serological testing of Brucella species every 3 weeks during a total period of 12 weeks. Compliance with taking medicine was 57.1% (4/7) and compliance for completing the serological tests was 85.7% (6/7). None of the laboratory workers developed clinical disease or tested positive serologically during 3 months of seroloaical testing and 1 year of clinical follow-up.

F. Rhodes는 위상공간 X의 기본군 π_1(X,x_0)의 개념을 변환군(G,X)의 기본군 σ(G, x_0, X)의 개념으로 일반화 하는 과정[1]을 소개하였고(Rhodes, 1966), 기본군 σ(G, x_0, X)의 상군 σ_xo(G,x_0,X)를 정의하였다.(Rhodes, 1968). 이 논문에서는 기초점의 기본군에 대한 역할을 조사하고, 특히 Rhodes의 정리들을 일반화하여 σ(G, x_0, X)와 σ_x_0(G, x_0, X)의 성질을 조사하였다.

Background: The diffusing capacity of the lung is influenced by multiple factors such as age, sex, height, weight, ethnicity and smoking status. Although a prediction equation for the diffusing capacity of Korea was proposed in the mid-1980s, this equation is not used currently. The aim of this study was to develop a new prediction equation for the diffusing capacity for Koreans. Methods: Using the data of the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a total of 140 nonsmokers with normal chest X-rays were enrolled in this study. Results: Using linear regression analysis, a new predicting equation for diffusing capacity was developed. For men, the following new equations were developed: carbon monoxide diffusing capacity (DLco)=-10.4433-0.1434${\times}$age (year)+0.2482${\times}$heights (cm); DLco/alveolar volume (VA)=6.01507-0.02374${\times}$age (year)-0.00233${\times}$heights (cm). For women the prediction equations were described as followed: DLco=-12.8895-0.0532${\times}$age (year)+0.2145${\times}$heights (cm) and DLco/VA=7.69516-0.02219${\times}$age (year)-0.01377${\times}$heights (cm). All equations were internally validated by k-fold cross validation method. Conclusion: In this study, we developed new prediction equations for the diffusing capacity of the lungs of Koreans. A further study is needed to validate the new predicting equation for diffusing capacity.
Presenilin-2 유전자 이식에 의한 alzheimer 질환모델동물의 개발

알츠하이머는 신경세포에 Aβ-42의 침적으로 신경원섬운 농축이나 시냅스 상실 풍이 발생하여 나타나는 신경퇴행성 질환이다. 치매의 원인 단백질인 Aβ는 APP가 secreatasr에 절단되어 형성되며 APP내에 돌연변이는 퍽상적인 Aβ-40보다 Aβ-42의 비정상적인 형태를 더욱 많이 형성하여 치매를 유발하는 것으로 보고피었다. 이와 더불어 60세 "1전에 발생하는 조기유발성 치매는 presenilin이라는 단백질에 의해서 촉진되며, 특히 PS-2가 중요한 유발원으로 생각피고 았다. PS-2는 Aβ-42의 생성을 촉진시킬 뿐만 아니라 apoptosls동안에 caspase에의해 정상과 다른형태로 절단되었다. 그러나 PS-2가 정확히 어떠한 기작에 의해서 Af의 생성을 촉진시키고 apoptosis에 관여하는지는 밝혀져 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조기유발성 치매의 원인 단백질을 이용한 인간화모델동물을 생산하핀 이를 이용하여 치매의 발생기작을 연구하며 치매 치료제의 유효성과 안전성을 평가하는데 기여하고자한다. 당해 연로에는 정상 마우스치 각 조직에서 PS-2 유전자의 발현을 관찰하여 다양한 조직에서 PS-2가 발현 됨을 확인하였다. 또한 순부분리된 재조합 유전자를 마우스 수정란에 주입하여 3마리의 pTet-tTAK 유전자가 삽입된 형질전환 마우스를 개발하였고 pTet-wild PS-2 마우스 1마리와 pTet-N1411 PS-2 마우스 3마리를 생산하였다. 확인된 마우스는 double transgenic 마우스를 생산하기 위차여 교배에 와해 4마리의 doubftransgenic 마우스를 생산하였다. 현재 개발된 마우스를 이용하여 tetracycline 발현 온도를 실시중이며 다른 종류의 형질전환 마우스를 개발 중에 있다. Inp'ret-tTAK transgenic ndce, the expresslon of transactivator increase with dose of tetracycline.Thus, modei animals mated from each Tet-PS-2M and Tet-tTAK transgenic animal will beuseful for eTarγline the mechanisms and drug screen.
