In this paper we study consumption-labor supply decision of an agent who prepares for retirement at a known time in the future. The agent is assumed to have a preference which is represented by a von Neumann-Morgenstern utility function in which the felicity function has constant relative risk aversion over the composite of consumption and leisure. The composite is obtained by a Cobb-Douglas function. A general problem has been studied by Bodie, Detemple, Ortuba, and Walter (2004). We contribute to the literature by deriving Slutsky equations and conduct comparative statics. In particular, we show that the wealth effect can exhibit interesting property depending upon the time until retirement, as the interest rate increases.

모낭염 및 농가진 임상 양상을 보인 범발성 Trichophyton Rubrum 감염증 1례

Trichophyton rubrum is anthropophilic, Ectothrix, and the most common dermatophyte of a man. The characteristic lesions are one or more circular, sharply circumscribed, slightly erythematous, dry, scaly, patches with elevated border. Other variants are reported, such as granulomatous, bullous or verrucous, versicolor like lesions. We present a case of Trichophyton rubrum infection presenting as folliculitis and impetigo in a 32 years old male who have been treated with Prednisolone (90mg/day) for minimal change nephrotic syndrome. The skin lesion showed widely distributed scaly plaques, crusts and plaques, crusts and pustules mimicking folliculitis and impetgo. On KOH mount and PAS stain, fungal hyphae were noted and Trichophyton rubrum was isolated on the fungus culture. He was successfully treated by application of itraconazole topical ointment for 6 weeks without recurred lesions.

난소관련병변에서 복강체액내의 cytokine농도

목적:최근에 난소암을 비롯한 종양성 질환과 자궁내막증등의 부인과 내분비 질환에서 면역반응의 활성에 관여하는 cytokine에 대한 연구가 많이 되고 있어서 저자들은 난소관련병변들의 병인분석과 감별진단의 가능성 및 치료적 응용에 있어서 복강체내액에 cytokine의 이용가능성을 조사하여 보았다. 연구방법:조직학적으로 진단이된 양성난소낭선종 11예, 성숙낭성기형종 10예, 자궁내막증 23예, 그리고 난소암 11예를 대상으로 하여 복강내 체액을 채취하여 INF-γ, IL-1β, IL-5,IL-6, IL-10 및 TNF-α의 농도를 측정하였으며 통계처리는 일원분산분석법과 Scheffe 법 그리고 Mann-Whitney 법으로 하였다. 결과:난소암 환자에서 IL-6와 IL-10 의 농도는 다른 양성병변들에 비해서 의미있게 증가하였으며(p<0.05) 자궁내막증 환자에서 대조군에 비하여 IL-6와 IL-10 의 농도가 높았으며 특히 자궁내막증 병기Ⅲ과 Ⅳ인 경우에서 병기Ⅰ과 Ⅱ에 비교하여 IL-6와 IL-10 의 농도가 의미있게 증가되었다. 결론:복수내의 cytokine환경은 난소관련병변의 병인과 질병의 진행과정과 관계가 있을 것으로 사료되며 복강내체액의 cytokine 농도 측정은 난소암과 양성병변과의 감별진단 및 자궁내막증 환자으 중증도의 진단과 병인규명에 도움을 줄 수 있을것으로 생각된다. Objective: Recent studies have shown that mlitifunctional cytokines have been implicatrd in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of various ovarian cancer and endometriosis.This study was performed to determine the possibility of the clinical usefulness of peritoneal cytokines in patients with various ovarian lesions. Methods: Peritoneal fluid was obtained from patients with begin cystiv adenoma(n=11), being cystic teratoma(n=10), endometriosis(n=23), malignant ovarian tumor(n=11), and women without evidence of any pathology(n=7)at the time of laparotomy or operative laparoscopic surgery and were examined for the levels of INF-γ, IL-1β, IL-5,IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Statistical analysis was performed with the one way ANOVA, Scheffe test or Mann-Whitney test. Results: the mean concentration of IL-6 and IL-10 was significantly higher in pertioneal fluid specimens with ovarian cancer than other bengin pathology (p<0.05).Both IL-6 and IL-10 levels in pertioneal fluid specimens with endometriosis tended to be higher than normal, and of IL-6 and IL-10 were significantly higher in pertioneal fluid of women with severe endometriosis compaired to women with mild endometriosis (p<0.05). Conclusion: this study supports the concept that regional immunologic dysfunction might be involved in the disease process of various ovarian pathology such as ovarian cancer and endometriosis.A larger study would help in evaluating the potential use of local peritoneal cytolines ln differentiating ovarian cancer from other benign pathology, and demonstrating any association between concentrations of cytokines and severity of endometriosis.

프로야구단의 위기커뮤니케이션 전략 분석: 메시지 소구 및 기사제시 방식을 중심으로

[목적] 본 연구의 목적은 구단이 위기상황에 놓였을 때 사과 기사를 제공함에 있어 메시지 소구 및 기사제시 방식에 따른 위기 커뮤니케이션 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 구체적으로 프로야구단이 사과 기사를 전달함에 있어 이성적 중심의 사과 기사보다 감성적 중심의 사과 기사가 공중의 메시지 수용도에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상하였으며 사과 기사에 사진을 포함하는 것이 그렇지 않을 때보다 공중의 메시지 수용도에 긍정적으로 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상하였다. [방법] 실제로 존재하는 프로야구단을 선정하고 승부조작이라는 위기상황을 가정하여 해당 구단이 사과 기사를 노출할 때, 사과 기사의 메시지 소구 방식(이성적 사과 기사 vs. 감성적 사과 기사)과 기사제시 방식(기사 vs. 기사+사진)에 따른 요인 설계 실험연구를 실시하였다. 실험은 340명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 최종적으로 325부를 활용하였다. 자료 분석을 위하여 SPSS 23.0을 사용하였으며 기술통계분석(Descriptive Analysis), 확인적 요인분석(Confirmatory Factor Analysis), 신뢰도 분석(Reliability Analysis), t-검정(Independent t-test), 이원공분산분석(Two-way ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. [결과] 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로야구단이 전달한 사과 기사에 대해 이성적 소구 방식의 사과 기사보다 감성적 소구 방식의 사과 기사가 공중의 메시지 수용도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 프로야구단이 사과기사를 전달할 때 사진을 포함하는 것이 그렇지 않은 것보다 공중의 메시지 수용도 측면에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. [Purpose] The purpose of this research was to investigate the influence of professional baseball teams' message appeal type (emotional vs. rational) and message delivery method (article with photo vs. article without photo) on consumers' acceptance of the message. The hypotheses were two folds. First, compared with a rational apology article, a professional team's emotional apology article affected consumers' acceptance more positively. Second, a professional team's apology article with a photo attached influenced consumers' acceptance more positively than one without a photo. [Methods] To achieve the purpose of this study, the authors utilized a 2 (Message Appeal Type: emotional vs. rational) × 2 (Message Delivery Method: article with photo vs. article without photo) factorial experiment. An existing baseball team was selected and was assumed to have been involved in a game fixing situation. Out of 340 participants, 325 were used in the final analysis. Two-way ANCOVA of SPSS 23.0 was conducted to analyze the data. [Results] Findings revealed when a professional baseball team issued an emotional apology article, consumers were more positive about it than a rational one. Also when a professional team delivered an article with a photo, consumers accepted the article more positively than the one without a photo.

We observed a 55-year-old man who had granuloma pyogenicum on the medial border of the right fifth toe which developed after scratching of the wound. Histopathological findings showed many newly formed capillaries that had prominant endothelial cells and showed varying degrees of dilation without appearance of epidermal collarette signs. We tried intralesional treatment with triamcinolone acetonide (10mg%, 1/week*3). After 3 sessions of treatment, the lesion dramatically regressed nearly to normal size. In this work, the effect of the initial concentration of methanol and ethanol, and the addition of oxygen molecules were discussed to improve the hydrogen generation using non-thermal plasma reactor effectively. In addition, the effect of ozone decomposition catalyst of manganese dioxide and its quantity was investigated. First, hydrogen concentration increased until an initial concentration of about 40,000[ppm] of methanol and thereafter it was saturated. Henceforth, hydrogen concentration decreased with increasing the oxygen percent on the carrier gas of nitrogen about both substances. Related with the effect of catalyst, it increased upto 60[g], but it was not changed largely after that. Consequently, it is confirmed that the hybrid process using plasma process and catalytic surface chemical reaction is a very promising way to increase the efficiency of hydrogen generation as investigated in this work.

아토피 피부염 환자에서의 의인성 쿠싱 증후군

Iatrogenic Cushings syndrome is caused by administration of systemic steroids for some disorders, and is clinically characterized by truncal obesity, hypertension, fatigability, amenorrhea, hirsutism, abdominal striae, edema, glucosuria and osteoporosis. We report herein a case of iatrogenic Cushings syndrome in the treatment of atopic dermatitis. The patient, a 32-year-old male, had been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis and was intermittently treated with topical and systemic steroids for 12 years. He revealed facial edema, truncal obesity and striae distensae in both the axilla and abdomen. Steroids are one of the important agents in the treatment of atopic dermatitis but care must be taken in their administration. (Korean J Dermatol 1998;36(3): 548-550)
