        Magnetic domain observations of (Tb0.3Dy0.7)Fe1.95 alloys

        The magnetic domain structures of (Tb0.3Dy0.7)Fe1.95 alloys were investigated using scanning probe atomic and magnetic force microscopies. Results demonstrate that the specimen surface presented corrugated and spiked domain configurations interpreted in terms of surface closure domains in cubic magnetic materials after the specimen was annealed at 673 K for 2 h in an ultra-high vacuum of 5×10−5 Pa. However, a thin soft magnetic Fe layer appeared on the specimen surface after annealing at 723 K for 2 h in a relatively high vacuum of 5×10−3 Pa. As a result, the demagnetized energy in the specimen surface is largely reduced and the interior magnetic domain configurations of the specimen are observed. The results maybe provide an approach for detecting the interior magnetic domain structures of TbDyFe alloys or other cubic magnetic materials.

        Identification and characteristics analysis of toll-like receptors family genes in yak

        Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are innate pattern recognition receptors that play an important role in host resistance to pathogenic microbes. In this study, we cloned the coding region of the yak TLR family (1–10) genes and used bioinformatics to analyze gene characteristics. Realtime fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect TLR expression levels in different tissues. Yak TLR genes exhibited high homologies with other species. At the nucleotide level, yak shared more than 96 % homology with cattle and sheep and 75–87 % homology with human and mouse. At the amino acid level, yak shared 90–99 % homology with cattle and sheep and 64–86 % homology with human and mouse. Yak showed close evolutionary relationship with cattle and sheep, which formed a branch of mammals together with TLRs from human, horse, and mouse, among others, and formed a branch with a longer genetic distance with chicken. TLR1, 2, 6, and 10 and TLR7, 8, and 9 were clustered in 2 individual branches, respectively. Fluorescent quantitation results showed that TLRs were expressed in all yak tissues, but different members showed different expression patterns. TLR2, 4, and 6 showed the highest expression in the spleen, followed by ovary, small intestine, kidney, and liver. TLR1, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 were most highly expressed in the kidney and showed higher expression in the liver, kidney, spleen, and other tissues. Our results will be useful for studies on immune molecular mechanisms and disease resistance breeding of yak and other plateau animals.

        Effect of Low-Temperature Heat Treatment on PM2.5 Adsorption Properties of GO Films

        To explore the mechanism of GO acting on PM 2.5, a graphene oxide (GO) film was prepared via a spraying method for air purification. The effects of different media, temperature and heat treatment times on the adsorption of PM 2.5 on GO film were investigated. The morphology, composition and structure of GO materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopy. When the vacuum heat-treatment temperature is below 80 ℃ and the atmospheric heat-treatment temperature is below 100 ℃, the air purification performance of the film does not change significantly. With the increase in the vacuum heat-treatment temperature, the removal efficiency of PM 2.5 by GO film decreases gradually from 95% to 83%. At different times, the vacuum heat treatment increases with time, and the film removal rate shows a downward trend. As the heat-treatment temperature and time increase, a certain redox reaction occurs in the GO, and the air purification performance decreases. At a temperature of 120 ℃ and a time of 8 h, the removal rate drops to 81.68%. The adsorption of PM 2.5 by GO film mainly relies on the action of oxygen-containing functional groups.

        Multi-objective optimization design of a centrifugal impeller by positioning splitters using GMDH, NSGA-Ⅲ and entropy weight-TOPSIS

        A centrifugal impeller with splitters was designed by three-dimensional (3D) inverse design method, and its efficiency, velocity non-uniformity at impeller exit and maximum equivalent stress of blades were optimized by providing the suitable blade stacking angle, work ratio and circumferential location of the splitter. First, 80 samples were generated by optimal Latin hypercube technique and the corresponding impellers were designed by 3D inverse design. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and fluid structure interaction (FSI), the optimization objectives were obtained. Then, the group method of data handling (GMDH) artificial neural networks was established to link the design parameters and objectives by the specific formulas. The reference-point-based non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-Ⅲ) was applied to search the Pareto front. Finally, the preferred impeller was selected by adopting entropy weight and the method of technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS). The results showed that the splitter of the preferred impeller had a circumferential location of 0.58, blade stacking angle of 28° and work ratio of 0.48. The nonuniformity at impeller exit and maximum equivalent stress of blades of preferred impeller obtained by NSGA-Ⅲ were decreased, while the efficiency was improved.

        A revival of 2D materials, phosphorene: Its application as sensors

        Black phosphorus, a prototype of phosphorene that has been known for a hundred years, has earned anew premium. Due to its unique properties such as direct band gap and tunable anisotropic properties, BPmayfind its broad applications in energy, sensing, photo-thermal devices and optoelectronics etc. In thisarticle, an inclusive review of some salutary properties of BP for its sensing application, have beenunderlined. However, its practical ability and scale-up applications are enigmatic as of yet and requiresignificant research and investigation. Therefore, this article motivates the researcher’s community todiscover more approaches to enhance the pragmatic ability of BP.

        Automatic identification and analysis of multi-object cattle rumination based on computer vision

        Rumination in cattle is closely related to their health, which makes the automatic monitoring of rumination an important part of smart pasture operations. However, manual monitoring of cattle rumination is laborious and wearable sensors are often harmful to animals. Thus, we propose a computer vision-based method to automatically identify multi-object cattle rumination, and to calculate the rumination time and number of chews for each cow. The heads of the cattle in the video were initially tracked with a multi-object tracking algorithm, which combined the You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm with the kernelized correlation filter (KCF). Images of the head of each cow were saved at a fixed size, and numbered. Then, a rumination recognition algorithm was constructed with parameters obtained using the frame difference method, and rumination time and number of chews were calculated. The rumination recognition algorithm was used to analyze the head image of each cow to automatically detect multi-object cattle rumination. To verify the feasibility of this method, the algorithm was tested on multi-object cattle rumination videos, and the results were compared with the results produced by human observation. The experimental results showed that the average error in rumination time was 5.902% and the average error in the number of chews was 8.126%. The rumination identification and calculation of rumination information only need to be performed by computers automatically with no manual intervention. It could provide a new contactless rumination identification method for multi-cattle, which provided technical support for smart pasture.

        Preparation of phosphate promoted Na2WO4/Al2O3 catalyst and its application for oxidative desulfurization

        Phosphate promoted Na2WO4/Al2O3 catalyst with 10 wt.% tungsten was prepared by simple impregnation method. Analytical characterization results showed that tungstate and phosphate were uniformly dispersed in alumina matrix and its structural properties were preserved. The effect of phosphate as promoter in catalyst activity was studied using dibenzothiophine (DBT) as model oil and the results reveal that it plays an important role in oxidation activity of Na2WO4/Al2O3 catalyst, in addition, the catalytic activity of Na2WO4/Al2O3 was increased gradually with increasing phosphorus contents up to 2.5 wt.%. The catalyst was recycled and the results show that no significant decrease in catalyst activity was observed even after five recycled runs. We also applied our catalyst in oxidative desulfurization (ODS) of FCC diesel oil (with sulfur contents 4100 ppm), andmore than 92% of sulfur was removed from diesel oil under mild reaction conditions
