      • A Navigation System for Service Robot using Stereo Vision and Kalman Filtering

        Widodo Budiharto,Ari Santoso,Djoko Purwanto,Achmad Jazidie 제어로봇시스템학회 2011 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2011 No.10

The objective of this paper is to propose a method for navigating a vision-based service robot using stereo vision and Kalman Filtering. We have develop modules for face recognition system, visual tracking and multiple moving obstacles avoidance using stereo camera. Someone that walks will be identified as moving obstacle and we propose a method to avoid the multiple moving obstacles. Kalman filtering for distance estimation using stereo camera used for stability of measurement and removing noise from the input images. To overcome the inaccuracies of vision sensor, Bayesian approach is used for estimate the absense and direction of obstacles. Algorithms for moving obstacles avoidance method proposed and experiment results implemented to a service robot also presented. Our system can overcome the drawbacks of popular obstacle avoidance methods because it provides a complete mechanism for a vision-based service robot so that it can avoid the moving obstacles.Various experiments show that our proposed method very fast, and successfully implemented to service robot called Srikandi III in our laboratory.

Your place or mine? global imbalances in internationalisation and mobilisation in educational professional experience

John Buchanan,Ari Widodo 서울대학교 교육연구소 2016 Asia Pacific Education Review Vol.17 No.2

International mobility programmes and opportunities have enthusiastically been embraced by universities as part of a growing demand for graduates with global, international and intercultural capital on the part of graduates. In this project, we take two universities, one Australian and one Indonesian, as illustrative case studies of some of the commonalities, differences and, in particular, imbalances, with regard to the conduct of international professional experience in the global north and south. Specifically, a recent visit by Indonesian pre-service teachers was used to inform an upcoming visit by Australian pre-service teachers to Indonesia. We used this opportunity to compare the accessibility of travel for Australian and Indonesian pre-service teachers, as illustrations of in/equality of access for northern and southern learners. We hope that this paper will prompt discussion about global imbalances of opportunity with regard to international experiences. We also hope that our mutual interview process adopted for this study might be a useful research tool.

Comparison perceptions of secondary mathematics teachers between Korea and Indonesia in covid-19 era

        손태권,이광호,Ari Widodo 한국수학교육학회 2024 수학교육연구 Vol.27 No.1

This study compared the perceptions of 548 Korean and Indonesian secondary school teachers in the COVID-19 era and examined factors affecting their intention to continue online learning. Based on survey data, the two countries were compared on seven factors (teaching readiness, challenges and issues, competencies that require training, sources of support, types of support, and endurance). Furthermore, we examined what factors influence the intention to continue online learning. As a result, Korean teachers perceived their teaching readiness for online learning to be less than that of Indonesian teachers. Indonesian teachers perceived that they did not receive sufficient support. Additionally, factors affecting the intention to continue online learning differed depending on the country. Based on these results, we suggested implications for integrating online learning into mathematics education.

      • Patchouli Oil Geographical Origin Identification using Fluorescence-transmittance Imaging System

        ( Dimas Firmanda Al Riza ),( Slamet Widodo ),( Y. Aris Purwanto ),( Naoshi Kondo ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1

The authentication technology becoming necessary recently to overcome counterfeiting of agricultural products. Fingerprinting method based on spectroscopy is one of the widespread technology for authentication. In this research, a dual imaging system was developed as a simplified spectroscopy method for patchouli oil geographical origin authentication. The system consist of a front light ultraviolet induced fluorescence and white LED based backlighting imaging system which represent fluorescence and transmittance characteristic of the oil in the visible region. Images features were extracted and analyzed using Principle Component Analysis (PCA). It was found that the sample were clustered into each geographical origin in the PCA space. Classification model reveal that it is possible to discriminate each sample class based on fluorescence and transmittance image features. This results shows that the dual imaging system has a potential as a rapid authentication tool for geographical origin indication of patchouli oils.

Experimental and numerical study of coal swirl fluidized bed drying on 100 angle of guide vane

Melvin Emil Simanjuntak,Prabowo,Wawan Aries Widodo,Sutrisno,M. B. H. Sitorus 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.11

Currently, low-rank coal is widely used as fuel in power plants. The swirl flow method is quite effective used to increase heating value through the drying process. This research studies the characteristics of low-rank coal drying using a swirl fluidized method with 10 0 angle of blade inclination experimentally and numerically. Coal with a moisture content of 25.17 % and a size of 6 mm was dried by dry air with a temperature of 55 °C, the relative humidity of 10.5 % and flow rate of 0.06 kg/sec. Moisture content is measured by the ASTM D3173. Numerical simulations performed in 3 dimensional, transient and multicomponent. The results of the experiment show that drying was effective in the first 5 minutes, which reduced moisture ratio to 0.26 while the simulation results reduced moisture ratio to 0.28. Numerical simulations show the pathline, velocity vectors, temperature, and humidity contours. Particle trajectory as simulation results agrees to the experiment.
