Expression and lytic efficacy assessment of the Staphylococcus aureus phage SA4 lysin gene
Anil Kumar Mishra,Manjunatha Reddy,Konasagara Nagaleekar Viswas,Abhishek,Sujeet Kumar,Mayank Rawat 대한수의학회 2013 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.14 No.1
Treatment of bovine mastitis caused by Staphylococcus (S.)aureus is becoming very difficult due to the emergence of multidrug-resistant strains. Hence, the search for novel therapeutic alternatives has become of great importance. Consequently, bacteriophages and their endolysins have been identified as potential therapeutic alternatives to antibiotic therapy against S. aureus. In the present study, the gene encoding lysin (LysSA4) in S. aureus phage SA4 was cloned and the nucleotide sequence was determined. Sequence analysis of the recombinant clone revealed a single 802-bp open reading frame encoding a partial protein with a calculated mass of 30kDa. Results of this analysis also indicated that the LysSA4sequence shared a high homology with endolysin of the GH15phage and other reported phages. The LysSA4 gene of the SA4phage was subsequently expressed in Escherichia coli. Recombinant LysSA4 induced the lysis of host bacteria in a spot inoculation test, indicating that the protein was expressed and functionally active. Furthermore, recombinant lysin was found to have lytic activity, albeit a low level, against mastitogenic Staphylococcus isolates of bovine origin. Data from the current study can be used to develop therapeutic tools for treating diseases caused by drug-resistant S. aureus strains.
Design and Performance Study of a Hot Water Driven 5 TR Capacity Absorption Cooling System
Anil Sharma,Bimal Kumar Mishra,Abhinav Dinesh,Ashok Misra 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.7 No.6
Use of high grade electrical energy, generated from fossil fuels, for cooling has increased environmental concerns like global warming and ozone layer depletion. Hence, there is a need to reduce dependence on them and explore potential environmental friendly options. In this aspect, vapor absorption system has scope of utilizing low grade energy source i.e. hot water from solar panel, to generate cooling effect and are environment friendly as no chloro-floro-carbons are used. The most usual combination of absorber refrigerant pair in such system is lithium bromide water (LiBr–H2O), where water vapor is the refrigerant. In present work, a hot water driven, single stage, absorption cooling system, using a lithium bromide water solution, is analyzed for determining the effect of various parameters on coefficient of performance (COP). Four basic stages in the absorption cycle are generation, condensation, evaporation and absorption with ideally no moving part. A configuration of theses four stages, having 5 TR cooling capacity is determined and examined for the variation in COP corresponds to the change in pressure and concentration. The pressure parameter is varied in condenser and evaporator, resulting graph shows that the increment in pressure of evaporator increases the COP whereas increment of pressure in condenser decreases the COP. At lower inlet concentration of LiBr solution to the absorber gives increment in COP.
T-CONTRACTIVE MAPPING AND FIXED POINT THEOREMS IN CONE METRIC SPACES WITH C-DISTANCE
Anil Kumar Dubey,Madhubala Kasar,Urmila Mishra 경남대학교 기초과학연구소 2020 Nonlinear Functional Analysis and Applications Vol.25 No.1
A new concept of the c-distance in cone metric space has been introduced recently in 2011. In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for different type of T-contractive conditions under c-distance in cone metric spaces. Our result improves and generalizes several well-known results in literature.

Morin ameliorates myocardial injury in diabetic rats via modulation of inflammatory pathways
Vipin Kumar Verma,Salma Malik,Ekta Mutneja,Anil Kumar Sahu,Vaishali Prajapati,Prashant Mishra,Jagriti Bhatia,Dharamveer Singh Arya 한국실험동물학회 2024 Laboratory Animal Research Vol.40 No.1
Background: High blood glucose levels in diabetes lead to vascular inflammation which accelerates atherosclerosis. Herein, Morin was orally administered in male Wistar rats, at the dose of 40 mg/kg for 28 days, and on the 27th and 28th day, ISO was administered to designate groups at the dose of 85 mg/kg s.c., to induce myocardial infarction. Results: Free radical generation, including ROS, in diabetes following ISO administration, leads to the activation of both intrinsic and extrinsic pathways of apoptosis. Morin significantly (p ≤ 0.05) reduced oxidative stress (GSH, MDA, SOD), cardiac injury markers (CK-MB, LDH), inflammation (TNF, IL-6), and apoptosis (Bax, BCl2, Caspase-3). In addition, it also reduced insulin and blood glucose levels. Akt/eNOS, Nrf2/HO-1, MAPK signaling pathways, and Insulin signal transduction pathways were positively modulated by morin pre-treatment. Conclusions: Morin attenuated oxidative stress and inflammation and also modified the activity of various molecular pathways to mitigate cardiomyocyte damage during ISO-induced MI in diabetic rats.
Hydro-Mechanical Properties of Sand-Bentonite-Glass Fiber Compositefor Landfill Application
Krishanu Mukherjee,Anil Kumar Mishra 대한토목학회 2019 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.23 No.11
Hydro-mechanical characteristics of compacted sand-bentonite (SB) mixture gets affected significantly due to desiccation cracking and can cause a severe rise in hydraulic conductivity and differential settlement. Glass fiber can be added to the SB mixture to reduce the desiccation cracking. However, the addition of glass fiber to SB mixture can adversely affect its hydro-mechanical behavior. Present study was conducted to analyze the impact of the inclusion of the glass fiber on the hydro-mechanical behavior of SB mixture. Various experiments were performed on SB mixture added in a ratio of 70:30 and reinforced with 1% of glass fiber of the aspect ratio of 40, 80 and 120. Test results suggested that effective strength parameter, initial tangent modulus and energy absorption capacity increased; whereas, the swelling tendency decreased due to the addition of glass fiber. The results also indicated that the compressibility, hydraulic and shrinkage behavior of the mixture got impacted significantly due to the presence of the fiber.

A series of tricarbonyl Re(V) complexes, i.e. [Re(CO)3(k3-PN2)] (1), [Re(CO)3Br(k2-H2PNO)] (2), and [Re(CO)3Br(k2-HPN-Pip)] (3), have been covalently anchored over modified SBA-15 as supported catalysts. Remarkably, high catalytic turnover numbers from 2240 to 2857 with high ketone selectivity was obtained for both C5 and C6-alkanes. Best oxidation condition was optimized by the variation of temperature, pressure, time and catalyst amount. A thermal stability test indicates that the catalysts are stable up to 200 ℃ and ICP shows negligible metal loss from the catalyst surface, after the 7th catalytic cycle, allowing further use.
