This numerical study focuses on the analysis of fume particle dispersion characteristics over the surface of target workpiece in laser micro-hole machining process. The effects of oblique stagnation flow over fume generating machining point are examined by carrying out a series of three-dimensional random particle simulations along with probabilistic particle generation model and particle drag correlation of low Reynolds number. Present computational model of fume particle dispersion is found to be capable of assessing and quantifying the fume particle contamination in precision hole machining which may influenced by different types of air flow patterns and their flow intensity. The particle size dependence on dispersion distance of fume particles from laser machining point is significant and the effects of increasing flow oblique angle are shown quite differently when slot blowing or slot suction flows are applied in micro-hole machining.

This paper describes the photocatalytic degradation properties by oxygen partial pressure for TiO$_2$ thin films fabricated by dc magnetron reactive sputtering. And the structural, chemical, optical and photocatalytic properties were investigated at various analysis system. When TiO$_2$ thin film was made at deposition time of 120 min and Ar:O$_2$ ratio of 60:40, the best properties were obtained. That results were as follows: thickness; 360∼370 nm, gram size; 40 nm, optical energy band gap; 3.4 eV and Benzene conversion in the photocatalytic degradation; 11 %.

This paper proposes a dynamic analysis method for obtaining exact solutions of composite Timoshenko beams, which are inherently subjected to both the bending , and torsional vibrations. In this paper, the bending-torsion coupled vibration of composite Timoshenko beam is rigorously modelled and analyzed. Two numerical examples are provided to validate and illustrate the bending-torsion coupled vibration of composite Timoshenko beam structure. The numerical examples prove that the proposed method is of great use for the dynamic analysis of dynamic structures composed of multiply connected composite Timoshenko beams.

This paper introduces a zero-dimensional modeling on the plasma generation in electrothermal gun operation. The plasma generator consists of alumina bore and aluminum electrodes which is electrically powered by outer pulse forming network and, traditionally, its numerical simulations have employed time-dependent one-dimensional governing equations. However, by assuming isothermal approximation along the bore and choked bore exit condition, present analysis simplifies the mass and energy equations into zero-dimensional approximation of plasma conditions coupled with mass ablation model and plasma property evaluation. The numerical results show good agreement with the corresponding one-dimensional computations and thus verify the present modeling approach.
보론/티타늄 나노박막다층 내 이종금속간 화학반응 전파특성 해석연구

The analytical modeling has been established on the self-propagation of intermetallic reaction in the spanwise direction of highly reactive boron and titanium nanoscale multilayers. Assuming that the reaction obeys Arrhenius kinetics, two-dimensional computations are carried out for heat and atomic species diffusion with exothermic reaction model in order to simulate the self-propagation of intermetallic reaction. The effects of bimetallic layer thickness and thickness ratio on the reaction propagation speed are tested and discussed in addition to the assessment of pre-mixing zone effects.
