Soh, Dea-Wha,Soh, Hyun-Jin,Soh, Hyun-Jun,Soh, Hyun-Jae The Speleological Society 2008 동굴 Vol.85 No.-
For trying to frontal attack of new solution by fusion of technical tasks and conditions with it's solving methods of the essential tasks of marine resource development and environmental conservation in addition with elements of electronic high-technologies, the magnetic oil spill adsorbent of Mag-Sorbent* has been prepared and proposed to dispose oil spill from the marine disaster for preventing oil pollution by using them and their system with sequentially circular collection of oil spill mag-sorbent powder and fabrics on the electronic equipment like as barge robot for the scheme of sustainable development of environment-friendly technology. Because of recent marine accident occurred at Tae-An cost and earthquake in Sichuan province were very large scale accident of disaster to prevent and manage of them. So, it was verified from the experiment of electronic demonstrator that the skimmer system of oil spill mag-sorbent powder and fabrics prepared was very effective and useful technique to collect oil spill samples on the water surface specially at the closed space of underground cave. At this point, the barge-based electronic remote control was very useful system operating easily on the marine fields but also water level at the small pool to skim it with the environment-friendly system of the disposing marine disaster and preventing oil pollution using magnetic adsorbents of Mag-Sorbent*.

Texturing Design for a Light Trapping System Using Topology Optimization
Hyun-Jun Soh,Jeonghoon Yoo IEEE 2012 IEEE transactions on magnetics Vol.48 No.2

In thin film solar cells, the surface textures for light trapping is employed to enhance the energy converting efficiency. The propagating wave reflects on the metal surface coated with thin transparent conducting oxide (TCO) material and it scatters from the top TCO layer by total internal reflection. Therefore, in order to improve the energy transform efficiency due to sunlight absorbed in the absorbing layer between the top and the bottom TCO layers, the reflection angle control is required. The design issue of wave direction control is replaced with the optimization problem to maximize the wave flux at an objective domain, which is set to guide the reflection wave direction. This research suggests a texture structure using the topology optimization scheme and the design domain is set on the position of the TCO layer above the back reflector.

Grating Coupler Design of an Integrated HAMR Head Light Delivery System Using Topology Optimization
Soh, Hyun-Jun,Yoo, Jeonghoon IEEE 2010 IEEE transactions on magnetics Vol.46 No.6

This research is objected to design the grating structure for the purpose of efficient light delivery for the heat assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) system. The parameter study is firstly performed to determine the proper size of waveguide components and the topology optimization method is employed to design the grating structure. The formulation of the optimization problem is set to maximize the efficiency of the optical delivery. In the topology optimization result, the coupling efficiency is improved more than 20 times in comparison with the initial coupling efficiency and it is verified that the suggested optimization process can be applied to the grating structure design in the HAMR head effectively.

As the automobile energy efficiency stands out an important matter of interest, the magnetic engine valve system receives attention. It has an advantage of no engine power leakage in opening and closing the valve. Moreover, it generates much bigger force than the piezo actuator system, so it can be a good alternative system of the cam and camshaft system. However, since the valve system is not light enough, it is necessary to make its weight reduce. In this study, topology optimization is applied to find the optimal shape of the armature in a magnetic valve system combined with the finite element analysis for the magnetic field analysis. The result is used to obtain a concept design. The adjoint variable method is employed in order to calculate the design sensitivity of the magnetic driving force in the armature component mostly to reduce the computational time during the repeated sensitivity calculation. The sequential linear programming is employed for the optimization algorithm.
Child-Pugh B or C Cirrhosis Increases the Risk for Bleeding Following Colonoscopic Polypectomy
Soh Hosim,Chun Jaeyoung,Hong Seung Wook,Park Seona,Lee Yun Bin,Lee Hyun Jung,Cho Eun Ju,Lee Jeong-Hoon,Yu Su Jong,Im Jong Pil,Kim Yoon Jun,Kim Joo Sung,Yoon Jung-Hwan 거트앤리버 소화기연관학회협의회 2020 Gut and Liver Vol.14 No.6
Background/Aims: The risk for colonoscopic postpolypectomy bleeding (PPB) in patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) remains unclear. We determined the incidence and risk factors for colonoscopic PPB in patients with CLD, especially those with liver cirrhosis. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of patients with CLD who underwent colonoscopic polypectomy at Seoul National University Hospital between 2011 and 2014. The study endpoints were immediate and delayed PPB. Results: A total of 1,267 consecutive patients with CLD were included in the study. Immediate PPB occurred significantly more often in the Child- Pugh (CP) B or C cirrhosis group (17.5%) than in the CP-A (6.3%) and chronic hepatitis (4.6%) groups (p<0.001). Moreover, the incidence of delayed PPB in the CP-B or C cirrhosis group (4.4%) was significantly higher than that in the CP-A (0.7%) and chronic hepatitis (0.2%) groups (p<0.001). The independent risk factors for immediate PPB were CP-B or C cirrhosis (p=0.011), a platelet count <50,000/μL (p<0.001), 3 or more polyps (p=0.017), endoscopic mucosal resection or submucosal dissection (p<0.001), and polypectomy performed by trainees (p<0.001). The independent risk factors for delayed PPB were CP-B or C cirrhosis (p=0.009), and polyps >10 mm in size (p=0.010). Conclusions: Patients with CP-B or C cirrhosis had an increased risk for bleeding following colonoscopic polypectomy.
