Nitric oxide (NO) plays a key role in the processes of inflammation and carcinogenesis. Three isoforms of NO 야mthase have been identified: endothelial 띠띠c oxide 와nth앓e (NOS), neuronal NOS, and inducible NOS (이OS). The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of iNOS expression in 7, 12-dimethylbenz[alanthracene (DMBA)-induced hamster buccal pouch carcinogenesis. Sixty three outbred young (6-week-old) male Syrian golden hamsters were randomly divided into three groups: DMBA treated group (n=57) and non-treated (n=3), and mineral-oil treated group (n=3). No iNOS activity could be detected in the untreated or mineral oil-treated pouches. 80th cytoplasmic and nuclear stainings were observed in the DMBA-treated pouch kera띠lCX까es. In conclusion, this study has demonstrated that iNOS is expressed in DMBA-induced hamster pouch carcinomas. πlis finding suggests that iNOS expression may be associated with the development of chemically induced oral carcmomas.

The design of experiments says that it's statistical method planning to get the best information of quality characteristics with the least number of times of experiments. This paper aims at analyzing the process capability and at determining an optical condition by experimental designs using the 2-way classification with repitition in order to maintain lower Nacl content and to refine both or a very small quantity of fatty acid and various magnetic jons in the glycerin to use ion exchange resin treatment process. An optimal condition of each level combination in both of passing temperature of cation exchange resin(A₁, A₂, A₃) and of anion exchange resin (B₁, B₂, B₃) is A₃B₃The process capability index is improved form 0.63 to 1.40 and is interpreted as a desirable state. This analysis of process capability by experimental designs will contribute to improving productivity and quality of products.

증증 흉부둔상환자에서 심초음파에 의한 심혈관 손상의 진단

Background: Cardiovascular injury is a potentially fatal complication of blunt chest trauma. The diagnosis of cardiovascular injury in blunt chest trauma is not easy because of concomittent injuries of thoracic cage or lungs and early death from cardiovascular injury. Diagnostic tools such as electrocardiography or cardiac enzyme studies are not specific to cardiovascular injury. Two-demensional echocardiography can visualize anatomic and functional disturbances from cardiovascular injuries in patients with blunt chest trauma. Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate the usefulness of echocardiography in detecting cardiovascular injury of patients with blunt chest trauma. Methods: We performed echocardiography for detecting cardiovascular injury in 151 patients with significant blunt chest trauma including sternal fracture, multiple rib fractures or pulmonary contusion. Echocardiography was performed within 6 hours since patient arrived emergency department. Electrocardiography was traced on arrival and 24 hours after admission. Serial determinations of cardiac enzymes including MB fraction of creatinine phosphokinase were also performed every 8 hours after admission. Results: 37(25%) patients had echocardiographic evidences of cardiovascular injury. Abnormal echocardiographic findings were 10 pericardial effusion, 9 regional wall motion abnormality(RWMA) of right ventricle, 5 aortic injuries, 4 reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, 3 RWMA of left ventricle, 2 right ventricular dilatation, 2 valve injuries, and 2 other cardiovascular injuries. Electrocardiographic abnormalities were associated with echocardiographic findings. However, CK-MB/CK ratio was not associated with echocardiographic findings. Significant proportion(65%) of patients with abnormal echocardiographic findings needed cardiovascular management during hospital stay. Conclusion: Two-dimensional echocardiography is useful for detecting cardiovascular injury. Echocardiographic abnormality in blunt chest trauma is associated with high probability of need of cardiovascular management.

자발성 두개내 저압증(Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension)의 임상적 분석

Backgrouds : Headache is one of the common symptoms complained by patients at the emergency department. Postural headache is the characteristic symptom that is aggravated at upright position and relieved at recumbent position. This postural headache is associated with low cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure. Spontaneous intracranial hypotension(SIH) is an unusual syndrome of postural headache and low CSF pressure without a precipitating event. The diagnosis of SIH is confirmed by 60mmH2O or less CSF opening pressure on lumbar puncture. However, the cases of SIH with normal CSF opening pressure have been reported. so it is needed to complement the diagnostic criteria of SIH. Methods : A retrospective descriptive study with reviewing medical records of 10 patients who had been admitted at Asan Medical Center from Apr. 1995 to Jul. 1999 was done. Analyses were done of 22 variables of age, sex, clinical symptoms, spinal analysis findings, radiologic findings and therapeutic modality. Fisher's exact test and Mann-Whitney test were applied for statistical analysis (p-value < 0.05). Results ; 1. The male to female ratio was 3:7, and the mean age was 37.30±5.96 years. 2. Postural headache was characteristic symptom & complained by all patients. 3. The mean CSF pressure was 22.8±30.8 mmH2O. 4. Brain MRI demonstrated the pachymeningeal enhancement in all patients. 5. Radioisotope cisternography demonstrated slow ascent of tracer to the cerebral convexity in 88.9% patients, early soft tissue uptake suggestive of CSF leakage & rapid urinary accumulation of tracer in 66.7% patients, respectively. 6. 90.0% of all patients were recovered with autologous epidural blood patches, and 10.0% were recovered with conservative management. Conclusion : The SIH is an unusual syndrome. but we can diagnose the SIH in the patient, complains of a postural headache, if any following two or more criteria are present. 1. 60mmH2O or less CSF opening pressure on lumbar puncture. 2. Brain MRI finding : the pachymeningeal enhancement. 3. Cisternography findings : slow ascent of tracer to the cerebral convexity, early soft tissue uptake suggestive of CSF leakage & rapid urinary accumulation of tracer.

For the reason, Factory's production has difficulty in that, has build up management system effective organization and rules that has contain individual enterprise situation. M.R.P(Material Requirements Planning) is management technique adapt oneself to this requirement. Computer requisition cost and M package requisition cost were compared. in a M package. As regard it's easily handwork part. Cost for handwork and M package cost were compared. As the result of comparison. M package cost proved inefficient than efficient M.R.P design
