This study set out to investigate masters of portrait photography including August Sander, who took only portrait pictures of the entire German people and tried to figure out the human character in the huge social structure, Felix Nadar, who showed what oil portraits achieved with photography based on his unique sense, and Yousuf Karsh, who put an emphasis on the inner expressions of people and locational relations between the face and hands and thus made sharpness and black & white prominent clearly in his works. The present study presented the investigator's works consisting of typical photographs in the ways that he planned and worked for two years. There were total 15 works expressing the periodic backgrounds of jazz musicians in the 19th century in modern portrait photography. In the investigator's portrait photography, freedom of expression was oriented toward the performance and communication with the world of the jazz artists, which means that the expression of their facial expressions during their performance makes a piece of art for the photographer and jazz artists and is the starting point of portrait photography as a creation for jazz artists.

본 논문에서는 초소형비행체 “BATWING”의 설계, 제작, 비행시험에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. “BATWING”은 섬유강화 복합재료로 만들어진 동체와 리튬-폴리머 배터리와 전기모터 동력 시스템, CMOS 카메라와 송수신장치 등으로 구성되어 있다. 저 레이놀즈 영역에서도 높은 양항비를 얻기 위해 X-FOIL 프로그램을 사용하여 에어포일을 설계하였으며, 동체 상부에 날개를, 동체 하부에 배터리 및 송수신장치를 위치시킴으로써 비행 안정성을 증가시켰다. 비행시험에서 섬유강화 복합재료로 이루어진 동체 구조물이 내부의 탑재물을 외부의 충격으로부터 안전하게 보호해 주는 것을 확인하였고, 모니터 안경으로 전송되는 영상을 이용하여 15분 이상 성공적으로 비행하였다. In this paper, design, manufacturing and flight test of the MAV(Micro Air Vehicle) “BATWING” are described. “BATWING” is composed of fiber composite structures, lithium-polymer battery and electric motor power system, CMOS camera and signal transmission and receive system, etc. Using X-FOIL, an airfoil shape was designed to have high L/D at the low Reynolds number of 10⁴~10?. To increase flight stability, a high wing type was chosen and the batteries and signal transmission system were placed at the bottom of the fuselage as low as possible. From the flight test, the composite skin was proven to be effective for protection of on-board system during impact on the ground or other objects. The “BATWING” was successfully flown more than 15 minutes with the HMD(Head Mount Display) image.
5-〔3-(N-Substituted Piperazinyl)Propoxy〕Indan類의 合成과 中樞神經抑制效果

Five new indans, 5-[3-(N-substitued piperaziny) propxy]indans, were synthesized by condensation of 5-(3-bromopropoxy)indan, the intermediate, and N-substituted piperazines. The structure of the compunds were determined by means of IR, NMR spectoscopy along with elemental analysis. Each compound was tested for antimorphine and antiamphetamine effects as part of CNS depressant effects and for muscle relaxant action in mice. Thes compound exhibited less potent activity compared to chlordiazepoxide on CNS depressant effect. Muscle reaxant action of the compounds, the side effect of tranquilizer, however, was much weaker than that of chlordiazepoxide.
MPEG 의 화질 향상을 위한 새로운 적응 양자화 방법

In this paper, we proposed a new adaptive quantization algorithm to improve image quality. MPEG uses the effect that visibility of noise is less in high activity regions than in low activity regions. By using the effect, the part of image in high activity regions is coarsely quantized without seriously degrading the image quality. But, in this way, the reconstructed images have the degradations in the blocks having edges or fast and complex motion that is not well compensated normally. In this paper, we propose a new method adaptive quantization by using DCT coefficient and difference image for improving the image quality.
