        노인요양시설 간호사의 케어 로봇에 대한 인식

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify long-term care facility nurses’perceptions on the use of care robots. Methods: The participants were 106 nurses in seventeen long-term care facilities. The perception of care robots was measured using questionnaires on the availability and efficiency for major nursing care tasks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 24.0. Results: Among the participants, 46.2% said they needed an introduction on care robots, 59.4% had heard about care robots, and 11.3% had educational experience with care robots. The perception of care robots by the participants was 3.32±0.60 for the view of availability and 3.32±0.61 for the view of efficiency. Measurement and monitoring areas were found to be high in terms of both availability and efficiency. The perception of care robots according to experiences with care robots (t=2.66, p=.009) showed a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: Nurses in long-term care facilities reported that care robots are needed and that care robots are available and efficient in nursing care. It is necessary to reflect the opinions of nurses in the development of care robots, and to support the nurses' experience with care robots and the facilities and devices for care robots.

        임상간호교육자의 교육요구도 우선순위 분석: Borich 요구도와 locus for focus model 활용

        Purpose: This study used a descriptive investigative design to compare the educational needs and priorities of education-dedicated nurses and preceptors regarding clinical nurse educator competency. Methods: A survey was conducted from March to April 2023 with 308 participants, including 140 education-dedicated nurses and 168 preceptors. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired t-test with the IBM SPSS 26.0 program. For the purpose of analyzing educational needs, we further analyzed data through the Borich needs assessment and the locus for focus model. Results: Among the clinical nurse educator competency, both education-dedicated nurses and preceptors identified “new theory and practice” as the highest priority educational need. Additionally, education-dedicated nurses prioritized “teaching design ability,” “teaching evaluation ability,” and “evidence-based nursing/practice and research,” while preceptors prioritized “clinical nursing knowledge” and “professional development ability” as their educational needs. Conclusion: While both education-dedicated nurses and preceptors responded that education is necessary for all the competency areas required of clinical nurse educators, variations were observed in their reported educational needs and priorities. Thus, it is imperative to develop and implement a differentiated education program for enhancing the competency of clinical nurse educators that considers the distinct requirements of education-dedicated nurses and preceptors.

        중환자실 간호사의 업무부담 관련 요인: 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석

        Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors related to the workload of intensive care unit nurses through a systematic literature review and meta-analysis to provide basic data to explore the direction of development of nursing staffing standards. Methods: This study involved quantitative studies about nurses working in intensive care units related to nursing workload published in English or Korean since 2000. Search terms included 'intensive care unit', 'nursing workload', and their variations. Databases such as RISS, DBpia, MEDLINE(PubMed), CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Web of Science were utilized. Quality assessment was conducted using the Joanna Briggs Institute's Critical Appraisal Checklist for Analytical Cross-Sectional Studies. JAMOVI software facilitated the analysis of effect sizes, employing a meta-analysis approach for 7 studies with correlational or regression data. Results: From 16 studies on the workload of intensive care unit nurses, a total of 20 patient and nurse-related factors were identified. Patient-related factors included severity of illness, length of stay, and age. Meta-analysis was conducted for three patient-related factors: age, severity of illness measured by SAPS 3, and length of stay. Only severity of illness measured by SAPS 3 was significantly associated with nurse workload (Zr=0.16, p<.001, 95% CI=0.09-0.24). Conclusion: In previous studies, the characteristics of intensive care units and patients varied across studies, and a variety of scales for measuring workload and severity of illness were also used. Sustained research reflecting domestic intensive care unit work environments and assessing the workload of intensive care unit nurses should be imperative.

        교육전담간호사 지원사업 참여기관의 교육전담간호사가 인식하는 사업성과 및 정책 제언

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify outcomes and support needs recognized by clinical nurse educators in the government support project for clinical nurse educator. Methods: This research was a secondary data analysis study. Data were collected from self-evaluation reports submitted by participating institutions from 2019 to 2022. Work satisfaction of clinical nurse educators, the importance of support for nursing education tasks, and the need for improvement of nursing education job support were investigated. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and importance performance analysis. The necessity of institutional support for improving nursing education job were analyzed using the inductive approach of content analysis. Results: Clinical nurse educators reported low levels of job satisfaction in term of workload and working hours, work environment and support and compensation. The items with high importance and need for improvement were ‘Recruitment and strengthening competency of clinical nurse educators,’ ‘Clinical skill room dedicated to nursing education’, and ‘Facilities for electronic medical record practice.’ Conclusion: Based on these findings, regulations or standards are needed for appropriate staffing of clinical nurse educators, effective management of competency and qualifications of educational nurses, and provision of guidelines for essential training facilities and equipment. At the institutional level, efforts should be made to improve the work environment for clinical nurse educators and to provide sufficient educational resources for maintaining quality of nursing education.

        전 병상 1인실 구조인 중환자실에 근무하는 간호사의 경험

        Purpose : This study aims to provide basic data for effective nursing interventions and improvement of nurses' work by exploring their work experiences in single-room-structured intensive care units (ICU) through focus group interviews. Methods : Data were collected through two focus group discussions conducted from March to November 2020 with 13 ICU nurses. Interviews were audio-recorded and analyzed thematically by investigators. Results : Through content analysis, 15 sub-categories and 6 categories were formed. Two themes, "positive experiences patients care in an independent space" and "difficulties in nursing work according to space separation of patients" emerged. There are positive aspects of single-room-structured ICUs, but it was found that practicing nurses had difficulties and required specialized nursing competencies. Therefore, efforts to reduce the burden of nurses in single-room-structured ICUs are necessary. Conclusion : The limitation of this study is that it was conducted in a single hospital because single-room-structured intensive care units are uncommon in Korea. However, this study is of great significance as a basis for establishing guidelines on the efforts required from nurses, hospitals, and governments single-room-structured ICUs in the future.

        Purpose: This study was to grasp women’s knowledge about Breast Self-examination. Methods: We collected data from 317 women who lives in certain city, Korea using structured questionnaire from 5th, August to 20th, September. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 19.0. Results: The average score of women’ Breast Self-examination knowledge was 6.79±3.68 (of 17). There are three categories in knowledge about Breast Self-examination. Average score of category is 2.31 ± 0.71(of 4) for knowledge of breast cancer, 2.11 ± 0.57(of 5) for knowledge of breast cancer symptom, 2.37 ± 0.45(of 8) for knowledge of Breast Self-examination. Knowledge about Breast Self-examination according to general characteristics varied significantly for different age, marital status, education, and history of breast disease. Knowledge about Breast Self-examination according to characteristics related Breast examination was higher for women who received Breast Self-examination education, received Breast Self-examination education by lecture, performed Breast Self-examination, and who received Clinical Breast Examination Conclusion: People who are teenager and over sixties, their knowledge of Breast Self-examination was low. Therefore, effective Breast Self-examination education program should be provided for women who are teenager and over sixties to promote their Breast Self-examination practice regularly.

        임상간호사의 비판적 성찰에 대한 질적 내용분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify attributes of clinical nurses" critical reflection. Methods: Focus group interviews were conducted from April 20th to July 30th, 2021. Ten participants of a critical reflection program who had experience of teaching new nurses with more than 5 years of clinical experience in a tertiary general hospital were enrolled in this study. Data were analyzed with the inductive content analysis method of Elo and Kyngäs (2008). Results: The following four themes were derived: “Identifying the contextual meaning of nursing situation”, “Applying what has been learned to practice by reconstructing experiences”, “Discovering the meaning of nursing while learning from experience”, and “Reinforcing of inner resources through an open exchange of ideas”. These results showed attributes of clinical nurses with good critical reflection. Conclusion: A critical reflection program based on reflective experience is needed to continuously improve nursing competency of clinical nurses.
