The Silicon carbide (SiC) is a popular material because of its good mechanical characteristics and chemical characteristics. But it is difficult to process due to its high-hardness and high brittleness. Especially, micro drilling process is difficult. This study reports the micro hole drilling for CVD-SiC (Chemical Vapor Deposition - Silicon Carbide) using high-frequency spindle. The experiment of micro drilling process includes measuring the life of the PCD drill, chipping and surface roughness of hole section. From the results of the experiment, the micro hole drilling was characterized for CVD-SiC using high-frequency spindle.

The ultra-sonic technology has been developed along with development of the IT industry that needs precision parts in semiconductors, aerospac, PDP, LCD and automobile. The application of ultra-sonic vibration is one of the most useful solution in dealing with problems of chipping and cracks during the machining of brittle and difficult-to-cut materials. This study is about machining technology of micro drilling for CVD-SiC using ultra-sonic machining. The experiments of the ultra-sonic machining, in which abrasive particles in slurry with water are presented to the work surface in the presence of an ultra-sonic vibrating tool, were carried out under various normal forces from 5N to 20N. The experimental results show that the ultra-sonic machining technology can be effectively utilized in micro drilling of CVD-SiC
자동화학분석기 (Hitachi 736-40)를 이용한혈청 Fructosamine 측정 경험

As it has been inevitable for us to proceed with masstesting bodies routinizing the fructosamine test known as useful for diabetes diagonsis & cure, which is one of testing items of general examines requested to our laboratory. N o.w we came to utilize the Hitachi 736-40, the biochemical analyzer so as to get results as following; 1. The precision is very favorable that is the C~ V. (coefficient of variation) is 1. 21% in normal control serum and 0. 85% in abnormal control serum and 0. 94% in pooled serum. 2. The accuracy of our test using the reagents provided by Roche Co. & BM Co. is turned out to also be pretty good, that is : in normal serum Roche``s showed 255.3 pM/ l and BM``s 288.7 pM/ l, which the reference value is the former``s. 276 pM/ l ± 15% & the latter``s 291 pM/ l ± 15% while in abnormal control serum, Roche``s resulted in 436.6 ,uM/ l and BM``s in 599.6 ,uM/ l, which the ref. value is the former``s 491.1,uM/ l± 15% & the latter``s 640 ,uM/ l ± 15%. 3. We examined the correlation between reagents classifying into three groups as to glucose concentration to get each correlated, Y = 0. 86x + 22. 7, Y = 0. 98x- 0 . 88 & Y = 0. 99x- 6. 15 and each C. C. ( coefficinet of correlation), r = 0. 937, r = 0. 993 & r=O. 998. Finally the total 78 testing bodies showed correlated as Y=0.99x-10.9 and C.C. as r=0.997, which tells Roche``s a little higher glucose concentration than BM``s but the correlation between testing methods can be regarded as favorable. As you see in the above statement the ways of test & the option of equipment could be different according to the number of testing bodies and given circumstances but we``d like to report that the biochemical analyzer Hitachi 736-40 is satisfactory in proceeding with mass- testing bodies at laboratories such as ours because experienced good scores thru utilizing this machine.

A 4 months old, intact male Shih-tzu was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University for evaluation of the cause of cardiac murmur and syncope. Thoracic radiography revealed right-sided cardiomegaly. Echocardiography showed marked hypertrophy of right ventricular free wall and obstruction of right ventricular outflow tract, indicating double chambered right ventricle (DCRV). The dog was medicated with atenolol and sildenafil for DCRV, however, clinical signs did not control by medication. Balloon dilation for DCRV was performed to ameliorate patient`s clinical signs. The peak systolic pressure gradient across the obstruction region was decreased and clinical signs was improved by balloon dilation procedure. This is the first case report of balloon dilation for the treatment of canine DCRV in South Korea.
