국제 댄스스포츠 경기 참가 선수들의 의상디자인 분석 - 댄스스포츠와 패션의 다학제적 관점을 중심으로 -

오늘날 국제댄스스포츠대회에 많은 국내 선수들이 참여하면서 차별화된 댄스의상의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 경기용 댄스의상 연구가 미비한 실정에서 국제 경기의 다양한 무대의상을 분석해야 할 필요에서 시작되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 국제경기대회에 참가하는 선수들의 의상을 분석하여 자료화하는 것이다. 연구의 방법과 범위는 다음과 같다. 2017 UK Open 대회와 2017 WDSF 대회에 참관하여 국제경기용 댄스의상의 트렌드와 차별화된 디자인 및 조형적 특성을 분석하였다. 연구결과 및 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 댄스스포츠 국제경기 종목은 스탠더드댄스와 라틴아메리칸 댄스로 나눠지며, 댄스 동작의 특성이 완전히 달라 차별화된 의상 컨셉을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 두 대회의 스탠더드댄스 의상 실루엣은 피트 앤드 플레어 실루엣을 가장 많이 사용하였고 그 다음 트럼펫실루엣으로 나타났다. 두 대회 모두 라틴 댄스의상은 관능미를 표현하기 위한 슬림 실루엣에 슬릿을 깊게 넣은 형태와 노출을 많이 보여주는 실루엣으로 나타났다. 셋째, 색채와 디테일 분석 결과는 두 대회 모두 관능미와 화려함을 더하기 위해 검정색과 원색을 주로 사용하였고, 다양한 비즈 장식과 프린지, 깃털 등을 많이 사용하고 있었다. 결론적으로 두 대회의 차이점으로는 UK Open은 클래식한 디자인을 더 추구한 반면 WDSF 대회는 현대적인 다양한 디자인 요소들을 보여주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 국제경기에서 국제적 경쟁력을 가질 수 있는 무대의상 개발을 위한 초석을 마련하고자 한다. Today, Many athletes have participated in the international dance sports competitions, and the demand for differentiated dance costumes is increasing. However, research of dance costumes for domestic professional athletes is insufficient compared to the development of stage costumes for foreign athletes. The purpose of this study was to analyze and document the costumes of the athletes participating in international competitions and analyzed the trends and design characteristics of the 2017 UK Open Championships and 2017 WDSF Championships. The results and contents of the study are as follows. First, the dance sports international sports are composed of standard dances and Latin American dances. The characteristics of the dance movement and costume concepts are completely different. Second, the analysis of the silhouette characteristics of the standard dance costume of both UK Open and WDSF showed that the fit and flare silhouette was the most used, followed by the trumpet silhouette. Third, the result of analysis of color and detail showed that both of them used various beads ornament, fringe and feather in black and primary color to add sensuality and splendor. In conclusion, the difference between the two shows was that the UK Open pursued more classic designs while the WDSF competitions displayed a variety of modern design elements. Based on the results of this study, we will lay the groundwork for the development of stage costumes that have international competitiveness in international games.

패션아트에 나타난 몸의 왜곡과 변형에 관한 연구

In modern art. body appears as artistic performer, material or producer. and is expressed as `social environment body` which is changed in the relationship with its society and culture. The correlation between body and clothing image appears in`body as expression object` which directly borrows human body or sets up a section of human body.`body as medium` in which clothing substitutes body. and`body as image`in which image of body reappears along with clothing. The results of analysis are as follows : First,`image of expansion and exaggeration` to expand the influence of clothing thereby disclosing illusion of material civilization prevalent in our society, and make metaphor of dwarfish human`s lurking fear by transforming and exaggerating human body Second.`image of restriction and suppression` to express the loss of humanity. power and restriction of modern society with fixing and cruelty of body image through clothing which disregard body function. Third,`image of open and fluidity to criticize the extinction of values of human existence and standardized figure of our society by reducing three-dimensional clothing and body to untypical form or introducing the image of absent of human body to clothing. Fourth,`image of reversion and paradox` to express practical clothing object with unwearable material. or cause confusion of sex and identity by expressing dual aspects of body at the same time, In this study. which is focused on correlation between body and clothing and the meaning of them. 1realized that, even though artistic clothing expressed image of distortion and deformation of human existence as essential subject of body, they, in most contents. were used as medium of communication to rediscover human dignity and identity, and consisted of a series of metaphoric network of meanings satirizing aspects of our society.

현대 패션에 표현된 타이포그래피의 상징성 연구

본 연구는 먼저 커뮤니케이션의 대표적인 시각적 전달 형태인 타이포그래피의 관점에서 현대 패션과 아트웨어에 표현된 문자와 언어들이 어떠한 형식으로 나타나고 있는지 비교분석을 통해 유형을 분류하고, 유형에 따라 표출되는 내적의미와 상징하는 바는 무엇인지 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 첫째, 현대 패션과 아트웨어에서 타이포그래피는 자신이 속한 사회, 민족이나 소속 단체, 그리고 선망하는 브랜드의 로고의 언어적 기능과 조형적 기능을 활용하여 자신의 정체성을 직접적으로 드러낼 수 있는 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수있었다. 둘째, 사회, 문화적 상황을 공유하는 집단의 이념, 가치, 이슈를 담고 있는 사회, 정치, 문화적 슬로건 문구나 그림은 타이포그래피 패션을 통해 공감할 수 있는 상징성을 집단 내에 전달하는 기능을 갖고 있었다. 셋째, 패션 디자이너들과 아트웨어 디자이너들은 자신의 개성을 표현하는데 새로운 시각적 전달요소로서 사용하기 위해 타이포그래피를 사용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 패션 디자이너들과 아트웨어 디자이너들은 타이포그래피의 서체나 크기를 왜곡하거나 확대, 축소하기도 하고, 배열방식의 변형과 재미있는 레이아웃, 리듬, 운율, 오브제 변환, 입체적 표현 등의 방법을 통해서 다양한 시각적 효과를 부여하고 있었다. 이를 통해 대중과의 친근한 커뮤니케이션을 추구하며, 유희적 표현 방법으로 메시지를 표현하고 있었다. 이상과 같이 타이포그래피는 현대 패션과 아트웨어에 내재하는 메시지를 시각화하여 표현하는 조형적 기능을 통해 개인주의가 만연한 현대인들의 커뮤니케이션을 유도하고 전달하는 도구로 사용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. This study sees modern fashion from the viewpoint of typography which is a representative visual delivery system of communication. It will study the cases showing how the letters and languages expressed in contemporary fashion and art wear are represented. Through this case study, the intention is to classify the patterns according to the functions, and to examine the internal meanings and symbols of the patterns. The text is rendered and socialized - or, in this instance, offered as a sign for non-socialization - in its contemporary fashion and art wear version; solitary letter is an agent of denunciation that serves as public notice. Language negotiates our personal expression and the conventions of common understanding, and clothing is woven of like cloth and convention. The symbolical properties of typography which were examined through the analysis of its patterns above are as follows. It allows designers to create unlimited meanings, free from the functions and roles that identity should be expressed, and contemporary fashion and art wear should be worn; it works as a means to criticize modern society that is full of the loss of humanity, uniformity, and materialism; it metaphorically parodies social and cultural situations while reminding modern day people of the problems, such as one-time use, enjoyment, and entertainment. Through this study, it was found that typography fashion makes diverse communication possible, depending on how the meanings of the contents, which are expressed in contemporary fashion and art wear, are interpreted.

현대 패션에 나타난 미래지향적 이미지의 표현 특성 연구 -Fashionable Technology를 중심으로-

현대의 패션은 우리의 상상을 넘어 급격히 다양한 변화의 물결을 타고 있으며, 21세기의 시작과 더불어 과학과 기술 등 다른 분야와 협업을 통해 문화, 과학, 기술 등과 활발한 융복합을 시도하고 있다. 미래적 이미지의 실험성이 강한 의상들은 디지털 기술의 개발에 따라 신소재와 하이테크놀로지의 접목을 시도하면서, 지금까지 볼 수 없었던 새로운 컬러들과 텍스추어, 문양들을 가지고 타인과의 인터랙티브 패션으로 다양하게 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 현대 의상 중 패셔너블 테크놀로지를 접목시킨 미래지향적 이미지의 사례 분석을 통하여 패션 유형별 표현 특성을 도출하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 발광형 패션으로서 EL을 사용한 의상들, 센서에 의해 반응하는 LED 의상들, 타인과의 인터랙티브 개념이 적용된 의상 등, 빛과 센서를 이용한 패션이 많이 등장하였다. 둘째, 쉬프팅 웨어로서, 리모트 컨트롤에 의한 형태 변환, 에어로솔 기법에 의한 다양한 스프레이온(spray-on) 디자인 창출, 다목적 개념을 적용한 의상의 형태와 용도 변환으로 분류 되었다. 세 번째는 버추얼 패션으로서, 영상 프로젝션에 의한 즉각적이고 가변적인 텍스타일 이미지 연출, 디지털 사운드에 의한 패션 이미지의 연출, 공감각에 의한 패션쇼와 전시의 연출로 나타났다. 연구를 통해 오늘날 많은 디자이너들이 단순히 의상만을 보여주는 형식에서 빛, 공간, 움직임, 사운드, 영상 등의 디지털 테크놀로지를 전시와 쇼에 접목시켜 다양한 개념적 의상을 창출하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 패셔너블 테크놀로지는 다른 사람과의 인터랙티브 시스템 형태를 통해 감성적 교류를 표현하고 사회문화적 흐름과 상황까지도 표출해내는 미래지향적인 장르임을 확인할 수 있었다. The language of today`s fashion is becoming more diverse day by day, and it has been pursuing cultural, scientific, and technological integration through communication with science, technology and other genres since the late 20th century. Through the development of various digital technologies, fashion`s experimental nature has met with new materials and high technologies, presenting special colors, textures and patterns in interactive fashion. This study analyzed the types of future-oriented fashion which apply technology to fashion elements. The results were as follows. First was digital skin images. This includes luminescent light fashion using EL, LED and various sensory surfaces, and interactive fashion. Second was shifting silhouette. This includes silhouette transformation by remote control, spray-on design using aerosol, and multi-functional design converting to different uses. Third was virtual fashion image. This includes the creation of instant and diverse color and pattern through multi-media images, images that change with sound, and virtual fashion shows and exhibitions focusing on synesthesia imagery. Study implications and future research avenues are also discussed. This research found that the clothing of various concepts is created by numerous designers through integrating digital technology with exhibitions or shows by virtue of light, space, movement, and sound instead of showing simple clothing. In addition, it shows that fashion as an interactive art that communicates with the audiences was attempted.
