Ictal vomiting is a rare clinical manifestation of temporal lobe epilepsy. This manifestation is considered a clinical lateralizing sign pointing toward seizure activity within the nondominant temporal lobe. However, we have experienced a case of ictal vomiting associated with temporal lobe epilepsy within the dominant hemisphere. The ictal vomiting occurred early in the course of the seizure when rhythmic discharges predominantly involved the left temporal lobe. This patient underwent a left anterior temporal lobectomy and experienced markedly reduced seizure frequency for more than 2 years.

This study is concerned with a potential redemption and conceptual explication of experience. To understand modern society and modernity, it is necessary to understand a concept of experience. The concept of experience differs from that of “lived experience”. A common character of both is the idiosyncrasy expressed in modern life. It is not distinct, therefore sometimes dizzying. The difference is more or less an explication of the concept of experience but it gives us agonizing insights into the “lived experience” in the more mature life. The cognitive character of experience seems to function in a negative activity through moving toward a nonidentity. This renders negative-critical function of experience to the redemption of an aesthetic sensibility. With this awareness of experience, the content of experience is formed due to bodiness. Experience is an experience of body, thus that of suffering. It is revealed as a thorn in one's flesh. This study of experience is not a pursuit of knowledge, but tries to find an extension of the horizon of experience. Looking through this extension, the concreteness and dignity of individuality anticipates its moments. The moment of redemption is made of unfolding an experience of the concrete individuality. It will find itself through aesthetic experience. It is likely that art is expressed at any rate. Art is that which the trace of the moment takes to form convergence on the subject of “lived experience”. The process of formation of experience is an extension of the same trace. ‘경험’은 ‘체험’과는 다르다. 인간은 자신의 ‘체험’에서 자기동일성을 가장 뚜렷하게 감지하며, 이러한 자기확신이 삶의 근간을 이룬다. 이러한 체험은 실체적 사고에 집착한다. 그 결과 신체를 육체로 파악한다. 따라서 몸과 몸을 둘러싼 환경의 관계를 무시하고 몸 자체의 물질성, 즉 육체만을 실체적 요소로 파악하는 실체적 사고에 머문다. 이때 실체적 사고가 체험이라면 관계적 사고가 경험이라 하겠다. 관계적 사고로서 경험은 미학적 인식구조를 배태하고, 이를 바탕으로 미학적 감성이 성숙한다. 공감할 수 없는 유일성의 ‘체험’으로서 경험은 학문적 인식에 준하는 미학적 인식구조를 바탕으로 공감능력을 획득한다. 공감은 경험 지평의 상호교섭과 확대를 통해 이루어지기 때문이다. 경험의 인식적 성격은 흔적과 유사성을 통해 사물을 자신과 함께 숙성시키는 것을 말한다. 그렇다면 대상과 주체의 상호대립에서 인식이 생기는 것이 아니라, 시간과 공간의 장에서 펼쳐지는 경험의 직조에서 인식이 생기는 셈이다. 경험은 우선 부정적이고 비판적인 성격을 지닌다. 경험은 균질적이지 않기 때문에 언제나 ‘비동일자’에 대한 지향을 통해 부정적으로 기능하며, 따라서 ‘동일성’에 대한 비판적 기제를 함축하고 있다. 이러한 경험의 부정적이고 비판적인 기능은 경험이 차압된 현실에서 미학적 감성의 회복을 도모한다. 둘째 경험은 두 개의 시선, 즉 세속의 시선과 탈세속의 시선이 중첩되어 있다. 이 때문에 경험은 운명의 역설적 상황을 견뎌내고 유토피아를 예료할 수 있다. 셋째 경험은 무엇보다도 몸의 경험이다. 그러나 체험과는 달리 몸을 육체가 아니라 신체로 이해한다. 몸은 물질적 육체뿐만 아니라 몸의 유기적 기능과 운행 체계도 포함한다. 이러한 몸을 ‘신체’라 한다. 우리의 경험이 대체로 희미하지만 경험 내용을 유기적으로 구성할 수 있는 것도 바로 이러한 ‘신체’의 기능 때문이다. 넷째, 따라서 ‘경험의 신체성’은 고통의 경험과 공감 능력을 일으킨다. 경험은 몸의 경험이자, 곧 고통의 경험이다. 고통의 경험은 또한 공감의 능력을 확보할 수 있는 토대가 된다. 공감은 무엇보다 고통에서 비롯된다. 고통은 있는 그대로의 대상을 받아들이는 수용성을 말한다. 고통은 대체될 수 없는 고유한 것으로 비동일성을 나타낸다. 따라서 개인은 물론이고 집단도 고통을 자각할 때 비로소 경험은 내용을 얻게 된다. 개인은 자신의 고통을 의식하고 그것을 비동일자로 이해하거나 수용할 때 비로소 타자의 고통도 헤아릴 수 있다. ‘살 속의 가시’가 바로 경험인 것이다. 고통의 경험과 공감 능력의 확보는 신체를 규율하는 권력을 극복할 수 있는 가능성을 타진하는 기제가 될 것이다. 경험의 연구는 진리의 추구가 아니라 경험 지평의 확대를 모색하는 데서 성립한다. 이때 구체적 개인에 집중해야 한다. ‘구체적 개인’의 경험에 집중해야 한다는 것은 구체적 개인의 체험까지 포괄해야 한다는 말이다. 이를 통해 현재 만연해 있는 과잉 자율성 문제와 자율성을 타율적으로 강제하는 문제에 대처할 수 있는 계기를 만들 수 있다. 경험 지평의 확대로 ‘구체적 개인’과 존엄성은 구제의 순간을 일견할 수 있을 것이며, 이를 지속 시간의 지속성을 통해 펼쳐 내거나 ‘구성’할 때 비로소 경험은 구원될 것이다.

Poly-o-ethoxyaniline/에폭시 블렌드코팅에 의한 철의 부식방지

PEtOAN/epoxy 블렌드 용액은 부식방지제로서 응용성이 보고되고 있는 물질이며, 폴리 (에톡시 아닐린)을 메탄올에 녹인 용액에 수용성 에폭시를 첨가하는 방법으로 제조하였다. 폴리(에톡시 아닐린)은 폴리아닐린에 치환된 -OC2H5의 영향으로 인하여 여러 가지 용매에서 용해도를 증가시킨다. 백금전극위에 코팅된 폴리(에톡시 아닐린)의 순환전압전류곡선에서는 약간의 코팅막의 저항을 제외하면 폴리아닐린의 그것과 유사함을 확인하였다 PEtOAN/epoxy 블렌드 용액을 코팅한 철의 시간에 따른 부식전압곡선을 보면 코팅되지 않은 철, 수용성 에폭시만 코팅된 철보다 더 양의 부식전압을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 PEtOAN/epoxy 블렌드 코팅은 해수 환경에서 좋은 부식방지제로서 사용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 주사전자현며경 사진은 폴리 (에톡시 아닐린)이 수용성 에폭시 블렌드 코팅의 가교제로 사용되어 이러한 전기화학적 부식 실험의 결과를 얻었음을 확인하였다. Poly-o-ethoxyaniline(PEtOAN)/epoxy blends were prepared for corrosion prevention application of iron by adding PEtOAN/MeOH solution to water soluble epoxy. Polyaniline derivative, PEtOAN, were prepared to increase solubility in various solvents. The cyclic voltammograms of PEtOAN on a platinum electrode were similar to that of pure polyaniline, but somewhat showed resistance of the coating. The experimental results of open circuit potential (Voc) measurements showed that the corrosion potential for iron coated with PEtOAN /water soluble epoxy blend shifted to more positive region than that of a bare iron and water soluble epoxy coated electrode, respectively. PEtOAN/epoxy blend coating can be utilized as good protective barriers for irons in saline environments. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images also supported the results of the electrochemical corrosion experiments. PEtOAN can be used as crosslinking agent of soluble epoxy blend coating.
